IW Of Zamalek Club – Donation during annual charity event

Under the slogan “Shed Light,” the Zamalek IW Club, led by Mrs. Sanaa
Al-Malwani, held its annual charity event to support those in urgent
need of healthcare and essential services. This year’s proceeds,
amounting to 600,000 Egyptian pounds, will be donated to Al-Nas Hospital
for treating children in need and to aid those affected by the Ezza War,
who lack food, water, and shelter. The event underscored the importance
of civil society organizations in improving lives.

The ceremony began with a speech from the club president, who expressed
gratitude to the sponsors and presented the club’s projects. This was
followed by a short film showcasing these initiatives. Attendees were
thanked for their contributions, and the evening concluded with an
enjoyable Arabesco disco party featuring performances by Tabla El Set
and the singing group Fabrica. The club hopes for peace in all
countries.

IW Of El Nile Club -Matareya Hospital Donation

IW Of El Nile Club.

Under the slogan “Shine a Light” and to extend a helping hand to
hospitals, the El Nile IWC donated 24,000 LE to purchase two medical
beds for the Otolaryngology Department at Matareya Hospital.

IW Of El Nile Club.

Under the slogan “Shine a Light” and with a desire to support those in
need, the El Nile, IWC headed by Mrs. Maha Serour, donated 10,380 LE to
purchase medical supplies for Matareya Academic Hospital.

Under the slogan “Shine a Light” and to extend our support to hospitals,
the El Nile IW Club, led by Mrs. Maha Serour, donated 240,000 LE for the
purchase of two incubators at Gomhorrya Academic Hospital (Ahmed Maher).

IW of Amman Club -Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development (JOHUD)

IW Of Amman Club.
The President of the Inner Wheel Club of Amman and few members from the administrative committee visited the Jordanian Hashemite Fund for Human Development (JOHUD) in the Northern Hashemi region.
The club donated an amount of (3000) three thousand dinars (a generous donation from Mrs. Nuha Asfour) in support of the “Safe House” initiative, which is part of the charitable campaign carried out by the Fund to help less fortunate areas. This amount ensures the installation of tanks and the extension and delivery of drinking water and daily use water to thirty homes in the Rehab desert area in Mafraq, at a cost of 100 dinars per home. The project was commenced immediately. These Efforts reflecting our IW slogan for this year “shine a light.” After that, the delegation toured the center and its many departments that work tirelessly for the benefit and development of the local community, which also extends across the country.

El Nile Club – training female daily laborers

El Nile Club.

Under the slogan “Shine a Light” and with the aim of empowering women, the Innerwheel clubs, in collaboration with the Egypt National Council for Women and Rotary Egypt, participated in a significant training initiative on January 15th, 2024. The program trained 30 young female daily laborers in flower cultivation, arrangement, preservation, and export. Innerwheel El Nile, led by Mrs. Maha Serour, generously donated 1000 LE to support the project.

IW Of Gezeira Sporting Club- literacy classes educating women

IW Of Gezeira Sporting Club .

Under the slogan “Shine A Light” and following the directives of the chairman of District 95 (Egypt and Jordan), to promote participation and cooperation among Inner Wheel clubs for maximum benefit, Inner Wheel Nile and Inner Wheel New Egypt partnered with Inner Wheel Gezira Club, led by Mrs. Azza El Mofty, to establish three literacy classes in the Mansouria area, educating 57 women.

The participating clubs provided all necessary educational supplies, teachers, and equipped classrooms. Today, Monday, June 3, 2024, 24 women took the exam to obtain their primary education certificate. This initiative is regarded as one of the most significant projects for the Inner Wheel Gezira Club this year.

Petra IWC -Agricultural Innovation and Entrepreneurship Incubator – Sustainability Projects

Petra Club Project.
On the occasion of Mrs. Mona Abu El-Fotouh’s visit to Jordan on June 3rd 2024 the President of Area 95, accompanied by a delegation from Egypt, the three Inner Wheel Clubs of Jordan decided to review the Petra Club project in collaboration with the Agricultural Research Center to evaluate this distinctive project in the field of promoting innovation and transferring the outcomes of innovative projects to farmers in the region.

The Agricultural Innovation and Entrepreneurship Incubator at the center is considered the first of its kind in the region. It works on nurturing young entrepreneurs, turning their ideas into projects that are realized on the ground and employing the outcomes of creative ideas to serve farmers and the agricultural sector.

During the visit, the center’s director highlighted the economic  modernization vision, which will serve as a roadmap for the National Agricultural Research Center in enhancing innovation and investment opportunities in the agricultural sector, a vital contributor to food security and agricultural sustainability.

During the meeting, Engineer Islam Abu Halawa, the originator of the project idea, shared his experience and expressed gratitude for the support provided by the Inner Wheel Petra Club for this pioneering agricultural innovation (Zero Waste Garden) with a value of 700 dinars.
This project involves the breeding of specific types of earthworms that feed on organic waste and produce organic fertilizer known as vermicompost, considered the highest quality of organic fertilizers.

In the meeting, Mrs. Alawneh expressed her thanks to the center, praised the efforts made, and explained that this support was provided to the project with the aim of utilizing and transferring its outputs to three pioneering farms with a value of 300 dinars to maximize the benefits of the project and enhance the use of organic fertilizers. After the meeting, the delegation toured all the center’s facilities to review the activities and services provided to citizens in various agricultural fields.

Mansoura IWC – purchase of dialysis machines

 IW Of Mansoura Club.

Under the slogan “Shed Light,” on Tuesday, 6/4/2024, the Innerwheel Club of Mansoura, led by Mrs. Shadia Al-Ashry, concluded their annual initiative. They purchased two dialysis machines worth 1.3 million pounds for the dialysis unit at Mansoura University Hospital, benefiting Mansoura and its suburbs. A contract was signed with the Egyptian Group for Medical Industries, agent of Fresenius, in the presence of Prof. Dr.El-Shaarawy Kamal, Executive Director of University Hospitals, Prof. Dr.Alaa Sabry, Head of the Nephrology Unit, and Prof. Dr. Ghada Al-Qunaishy, Professor of Nephrology and College of Medicine’s Agent for Community Service and Environmental Development.

Alexandria IWC -Intellectual Rehabilitation Boarding School in Seyouf Donation

Alexandria IWC

On Saturday, June 8, 2024, in anticipation of Eid Al-Adha, Alexandria, IWC led by Mrs. Shahira Maher, visited the Intellectual Rehabilitation Boarding School in Seyouf. They distributed 40 coupons worth 16,000 LE to the workers and the children’s families.

Following this, the president and club members visited the Zamzam Home for Orphans with Special Needs. They provided cleaning supplies, washing powders, disinfectants, air fresheners, shampoo, shower gel, soap, toothpaste, and toothbrushes for the children. Additionally, the club distributed toys and delivered 10 coupons worth 4,000 LE. Eid Al-Adha Mubarak.
