On Monday June 14th, 2022, the Literacy Committee, consisting of the members of IWC of El Nile ,
Mrs. Nadia Abdel Hamid
Mrs. Mona Kamel and
Mrs. Magda Mokhtar
Attended the illiteracy eradication classes exams in Abu Nomros area in Giza, with the number 95 ladies.
Incentives were distributed to them and we wish them success and completion of the study to prep school.
IWC of El Nile thanks the fellow members of this committee for their wonderful efforts in the field of literacy throughout the year 2021-2022.

On May 11th, 12th and 13th 2022,the Inner Wheel Club of Alexandria El Nozha headed by Mrs. Omayma El Gharbi donated the costs of 10 eye surgeries at Gamal Hamada Central Hospital.
Including 6 cases of cataracts surgeries
And 2 cases of Lucentis injections in the eye
And 2 cases of pterygium.
In addition to 14 cases of cataracts at the Eye-Care Center.

In continuation of charity work and community service, on Monday, May 9th, 2022, the Inner wheel Club of El Nile headed by Mrs. Gehad Nasser donated prosthetic limbs to 15 cases of people with mobility disabilities, with a total amount of L.E. 114,500.00. The donation of prosthetic limbs is one of the most important sustainable projects for the club.
Mrs. Gehad Nasr, the club’s president and all members extended their sincere thanks and appreciation to Mrs. Monira Kafafi for her great effort in this project over the current and previous years

In line with IW theme (Pink First) and (Strong Women, Stronger world), IW club of Amman headed by Mrs. Fayrouz Badwan and her committee supported the active honorary member Mrs. Abeer Dajani, in helping a lady who’s life changed during the Covid times, from lack of income and being unlucky as her house burned down due to an electric short circuit.
This woman’s story prompted Mrs Abeer Dajani to ask the club’s ladies and their friends and the local community for help.
The interaction was great, the combined efforts either by donating money or furniture needed for the house, restored the lady’s home to what it was before .
Always together in lending a helping hand where it is needed.

On Tuesday, April 26th, 2022,
Innerwheel Club of Tanta
headed by Mrs. Amira Aref
purchased 5,500 sheets of Braille designed and dedicated to be used as an answer sheets and handing them over to the Al-Nour Institute for the Blind in Tanta, so that the Institute’s students could be encouraged and enabled to perform their exams.

With pride and honor… As the Nedaa Association for Deaf and Hearing Impaired Children is one of the sustainable projects of the Inner Wheel Club of El Nile.
Mrs. Magda Fahmy, a member of the club and the chairperson of the association’s board of directors of Nedaa,had signed a cooperation protocol between the Ministry of Social Solidarity and the Nedaa Association for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Children.
The Ministry issued the following statement:

Al-Qabbah witnesses the signing of a cooperation protocol between the Ministry of Social Solidarity and the Nedaa Association for the Rehabilitation of Deaf and Hard of Hearing Children

Mrs. Nevin Al-Qabbah, Minister of Social Solidarity, witnessed the signing of a cooperation protocol between the Ministry and the Nedaa Association for the Rehabilitation of Deaf and Hard of Hearing Children, regarding ensuring the quality of education and rehabilitation for hearing-impaired children who use hearing aids and cochlear implants in kindergartens and earlier in the age period from birth to 8 years.

The protocol was signed by the Ministry of Social Solidarity, Mr. Ayman Abdel Mawgod, Assistant Minister for Civil Society Institutions Affairs, and by the Nedaa Association for the Rehabilitation of Deaf and Hard of Hearing Children, Mrs. Magda Ahmed Fahmy, Chairperson of the Association’s Board of Directors.

The signing of the protocol comes within the framework of the Ministry of Social Solidarity’s care for people with disabilities and out of its keenness to provide all services to them through professional and psychological evaluation and conducting scientific measurements according to the specifics of each case. In addition to launching a training program to prepare specialized cadres in the field of rehabilitating deaf and blind children.

On May 10 th,2022, Inner Wheel Club of El Mansoura donated second device for casting wax blocks for cell samples consisting of three units that complement each other to save the patient’s sample, amounting to L.E. 182,400.00 to the Children University Hospital in El Mansoura.

With the flow of charitable stream in the holy month of Ramadan, The Inner Wheel Club of Giza Pyramids headed by Mrs/Eman Selim contributed in the distribution of 1000 Break Fasting (Iftar Sa2em) meals and bags with meat to needed people and that’s from the donations of club’s members.

Ramadan is the month of giving, We are overjoyed with what we were able to accomplish this month, as President Fayrouz Badwan, accompanied by ladies of the committee made the following visits and donations during the holy month and on the occasion of the upcoming holidays:

1 – Distribution of 200 food parcels to five societies in Amman, Irbid, Karak and Aqaba
– Cerebral Palsy Association.
– Cystic Fibrosis Society.
– The National Association for People with Special Needs.
– Al-Shahd Association for Orphans.
-Abdoun Valley Charity Association.

2- Distributing 40 parcels to Wadi Musa society in Petra.

3- Distributing 20 parcels to the Mustaqbal society for people with disabilities.

4- Easter had a share of our Ramadan campaign, as a donation was made to Al Mahaba society to help some families.
We also donated
For the Young Women’s Christian Association in Madaba.

5- Unprivileged children also had a share, as we prepared
Iftar and distributed Eid clothes in cooperation with Zaha cultural Center for fifty (50) children from Baqa’a, and seventy (70) children from Ghor al-Safi.

6 – Visiting the elderly in Darat Shamma and presenting them with sweets and Eid clothes to a number of the residents there.

7 – We conducted a medical campaign to clinically examine 50 women in Sweileh and Zarqa and labratory tests for early detection of ovarian cancer in cooperation with the King Hussein Foundation clinics in those areas.

8 – We also cooperated with “Hemtna” in adopting a project to renovate a women’s clinic in the name of Innerwheel Club of Amman.

9 – Our final Celebration was gathering for Ramadani Iftar at Romero Resturant garden, for our club’s members.

On Wednesday, the 27th of April 2022, during the last days of the holy month of Ramadan the president of IWC of Alexandria Sporting, Mrs. Reem El Milady, accompanied by P.P/ Nevine Abdel Rasoul, visited the Antica association headed by Mrs. Hayam Gouda at Kom El Shokafa, to celebrate with the members of the association these holy days and making Eid cookies with a donation of one hundred breakfast meals and coupons in the amount of 2000 EGP to be distributed to needed families.

Many thanks and appreciation to Mrs. Hayam Gouda for her efforts in reviving and flourishing beautiful traditional handicrafts as well as preserving the authentic Egyptian customs and legacies.
