Cultural Visit

On Tuesday, November 19, 2024, IWC of Zamalek, headed by Mrs. Sanaa Eid
and accompanied by Mrs. Samia Abu Al-Fotouh, the National
Representative, Mrs. Baheya El Maadawi, the vice president and a number
of honourable members, visited the Grand Egyptian Museum on the Giza
Plateau, which is considered the largest in the world. The group enjoyed
a guided tour of select areas, including the Grand Hall and the Grand
Staircase. The Grand Staircase tells the story of the sacred places of
worship, the king, and his relationship with the machine, in addition to
the afterlife and life of the ancient Egyptians. It revealed a surprise
that no one expected. We have artefacts displayed in its exhibition
halls dating back 700 thousand years BC.
The new museum is designed to include newer technologies, such as
virtual reality. At the end of the tour, the group visited the GEM gift
shop, commercial area, and food court and had lunch at one of the
restaurants.

Women Empowerment and Child Care

Women Empowerment and Child Care

On Tuesday, October 8, 2024, under the theme “Heartbeat of Humanity”,
IWC of Zamalek, headed by Mrs. Sanaa Eid – accompanied by Mrs. Samia
Aboul Fotouh – National Representative and Mrs. Bahia Al-Maadawy – Club
Vice President and a large group of club members, visited “Eva”
Cosmetics Company, which is considered the pride of the Egyptian
industry and one of the leading companies in the field of manufacturing
personal care products, medicines and food industries, with experience
spanning nearly 100 years in producing more than twenty brands of famous
cosmetics, which are exported to twenty countries around the world.

The group was received by Dr. Yasmine Armanious / Company President, who
accompanied them on an inspection tour of the company’s factories.

 The company established a nursery for the children of the workers from
the age of 3 months until the completion of middle school. The workers
bring the children with them to the factory, and they are distributed to
their schools in the company buses and brought in the afternoon to eat
lunch and do homework under the supervision of specialized teachers. All
this is free of charge.

The club visited this pioneering company to encourage the idea of
​​caring for working women and their children and empowering them
economically and socially. This is in an attempt by NGOs such as IIW to
help spread and replicate this model in mational companies,
organizations and socities.

In appreciation of this wonderful model, the club presented a shield to
Dr. Yasmine Armanious in thanks and appreciation for this great edifice,
wishing her further progress. Some commemorative photos were taken.

Women empowerment

On Tuesday, October 1, 2024, under the theme of “Heartbeat of Humanity,”
the Inner Wheel Club of Zamalek, headed by Mrs. Sanaa Eid visited the
workshop established by the club at 6 October City with the aim of
supporting females supporting families and helping them to keep pace
with the development of the labour market. The visit was in the presence
of Mrs. Samia Aboul-Fotouh, the National Representative, and a number of
honourable members. The club equipped the workshop with all the basic
supplies, including the best singer sewing, overlocker, buttonholes and
buttons, ironing equipment, and necessary production supplies. Fifteen
ladies are currently working in this workshop after being thoroughly
trained to produce a final high-quality product to compete with local
factories producing and manufacturing ready-made clothes. The club is
looking forward to expanding the business and increasing the number of
machines and trainees.

Zamalek IWC – supporting the Old Egypt Girls’ Shelter

Zamalek IWC.
Zamalek IW Club, led by Mrs. Sanaa Al-Malwani, supervises the club’s sustainable initiative aimed at supporting the Old Egypt Girls’ Shelter.
This shelter accommodates 80 orphan girls with disabilities, offering them healthcare services including regular medical assessments and monitoring. Additionally, the club focuses on enhancing the girls’ skills and development.

Zamalek IWC – Dar es Salaam Oncology Center donation

Zamalek IWC
On December 23, 2023, Mrs. Sanaa Al-Malwani, president of Zamalek IW Club, donated 39,600 pounds to the Dar es Salaam Oncology Center “Hermel” to aid in cancer treatment and support patient recovery efforts.

IW Of Zamalek Club – Luxor and Aswan trip

IW Of Zamalek Club.
Under the theme “Shine A Light,” a remarkable journey to the world’s oldest ancient cities unfolded—a luxurious cruise to Luxor and Aswan from Friday, February 16 to Monday, February 19, 2024. The expedition, led by Ms. Sanaa Al-Malwani of Zamalek IWC commenced in Aswan, where members visited iconic sites such as the Temple of Philae, the High Dam, Edfu, the Temple of Komombo, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, and the Valley of the Kings. Evenings were filled with lively galabiya parties featuring Nubian entertainment. Subsequently, the delegation ventured to the ancient city of Luxor to explore the Karnak temples and then spent a full day cruising aboard a tourist boat along the majestic Nile River.
The journey concluded as the delegation returned to Cairo, having relished an enchanting time amidst incomparable tourist attractions and monuments.

IW Of Zamalek Club – Alexandria journey

IW Of Zamalek Club .
Under the slogan “Shine A Light” Zamalek IW Club, led by Mrs. Sanaa Al-Malwani, embarked on a journey to Alexandria, known as the jewel of the Mediterranean, on November 29 and November 30. The excursion started with a tour of the Fathi Mahmoud Ceramic and Chinese Factory, a symbol of Egyptian industry with the label “Made in Egypt.” Following this, the group had lunch at a seaside fish restaurant while relishing the sunset views. The following day, members explored the New Roman Museum, known as the largest and most exquisite museum in the Middle East, with insights & information provided by the tour guide. The outing was a delightful opportunity for members to strengthen their bonds of love and friendship.

IW Of Zamalek Club – Zamalek sustainable initiatves

IW Of Zamalek Club.
For nearly 28 years, Zamalek IW Club has been dedicated to its sustainable initiative, supporting approximately 400 impoverished families in the Old Cairo, Antar Stable, and 6th of October areas. This year, led by Mrs. Sanaa Al-Malwani, the club continued its annual tradition by providing assistance totaling one million seven hundred and fifty thousand pounds from July 1, 2023, to March 31, 2024. The aid encompassed medical care such as surgeries; treatments; and tests : monthly allowances for those unable to work; payment of tuition fees, support for brides, covering fines, granting revolving loans for small businesses, distributing Ramadan provisions and holiday meals, and furnishing an apartment for three young children in need. With the help of esteemed members and organizations like Madiha Al-Sharqawi, the Arman Association, Majda Abbas, and the Joud Association. The club was able to make a significant impact on these families. In particular, they provided a home and education for three abandoned children, thanks to the efforts of Yasmine Abu Youssef and the Tawasul Association, founded by Mrs. Afaf Abu Youssef, ensuring the children’s well-being and moral development. All achievements were made possible through the members’ dedication and God’s grace.

IW Of Zamalek Club. – the importance of revisiting ancient interpretations of the Holy Qur’an and the Prophet’s hadiths

Zamalek IWC under the leadership of Ms. Sanaa Al-Malwani, organized a
cultural symposium on February 27, 2024, at the Pasha Complex. The event
featured researcher Dr. Islam Al-Behairy, drawing a notable audience
from various clubs including the Zamalek IW club, with the presence of
Mrs. Mona Abu Al-Futouh, D95 chairman, and district secretary Omneya
Hanna.
Dr. Al-Behairy emphasized the importance of revisiting ancient
interpretations of the Holy Qur’an and the Prophet’s hadiths to
align with the evolving Muslim societies, engaging with the audience’s
inquiries.
Wrapping up, the club president expressed gratitude to Dr. Al-Behairy,
presenting him with a commemorative shield from the club and capturing
the moment with souvenir photos.

visited Zamalek IW Club on 23 September 2023 .Together with the club
president, Ms. Sanaa Al-Malwani, they reviewed the club’s projects for
the year.
