Supporting Infant Eye Health at Abu El Reesh Hospital
Toral Cost 100,000 EGP

Under this year’s theme “Heartbeat of Humanity”, the Inner Wheel
Club of Sphinx, led by Mrs. Enas Megahed, donated EGP 10,000 to Abu El
Reesh Children’s Eye Hospital to support premature newborns suffering
from retinopathy of prematurity—a condition caused by incomplete
development of the retina, which requires urgent intervention through
specialized injections.

This critical support may help protect these vulnerable infants from
lifelong blindness. Notably, this is the club’s second donation to the
hospital’s pediatric eye unit, bringing the total contribution to EGP
100,000.

Spreading Joy and Generosity by Hosting the Annual Iftar for Orphanage
Girls
Cost 34,000 L.E

This news reflects the spirit of generosity and human solidarity
embodied by the Inner Wheel Club of Sphinx, in collaboration with the
Muslim Women’s Association. Such initiatives strengthen the values of
social solidarity and leave a positive impact on children’s lives,
especially during the holy month of Ramadan.

It was heartwarming to see the joyful atmosphere, as the event was not
limited to the iftar but also included gift distribution and
competitions, making the girls feel happy and cared for. Additionally,
the donation of EGP 34,200 for Iftar is a generous gesture that
demonstrates the club’s commitment to social responsibility.

A heartfelt salute to everyone who contributed to this event and brought
joy to the hearts of the orphanage girls. These acts of kindness are
what make our society warmer and more connected.

Health Care project
Final Instalment Donated for Critical Care Monitor at Baheya Hospital
Total Cost 300,000L.E

On Wednesday, March 12, 2025, under the theme “Heartbeat of Humanity,”
the Inner Wheel Club of Sphinx, led by Ms. Enas Megahed, donated the
second and final instalment towards the cost of a critical care vital
signs monitor for Baheya Hospital for Early Detection and Treatment of
Breast Cancer, amounting to EGP 164,000.

Notably, the total cost of the device is EGP 300,000, which has now been
fully covered.

Today, Ms. Enas Megahed and Ms. Soha Salem visited the hospital to
present the final donation instalment
.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to this essential
device, which will enhance the free, high-quality medical services
provided to breast cancer patients.

A date will soon be set for the official contract signing and
installation of the device in the critical care unit.

Charity Bazzar to support students in need

Inner Wheel Club of Sphinx Hosts Second Charity Bazaar to Support
Students in Need

Under the theme of the year “Heartbeat of Humanity,” Inner Wheel
Club of Sphinx, headed by Mrs. Enas Megahed held its second charity
clothing bazaar of the year on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at the Faculty
of Music Education in Zamalek. The event aimed to support students
unable to pay their school fees, with a total donation amounting to
20,000 Egyptian pounds.

In addition to clothing, the bazaar also offered Mother’s Day gifts.
Continuing a cherished tradition, Club President Mrs. Enas Megahed
honored an outstanding student by presenting a special gift to her
mother in celebration of Mother’s Day.

The bazaar was further enriched by the participation of students from
the college’s student union, who contributed to its organization.

 Support Children with Special Needs

Under the theme of the year, “Heartbeat of Humanity,” the Inner Wheel
Club of Sphinx, led by Mrs. Enas Megahed has generously donated 20,000
EGP to support the purchase of medical equipment for the “Asdeka El-ghad
El Moshrik” Association for Children with Special Needs, chaired by Mrs.
Shahinaz Fouda.

These devices will enhance the effectiveness of physiotherapy, improving
the quality of care provided to the children.

We extend our heartfelt wishes to the association for continued success
in empowering children, developing their skills, and bringing smiles to
their faces.

On Saturday, December 7, 2024, under the theme” Heartbeat of Humanity,”
the Inner Wheel Club of Sphinx, headed by Mrs. Enas Megahed, visited the
orphanage affiliated with the Muslim Women’s Association, headed by
our dear colleague, Mrs. Nahed Issa. At her kind invitation to
breakfast, Mrs. Issa provided a brief history of the orphanage at the
beginning of the meeting.During the visit, the members celebrated
Christmas with the children, enjoying music, a magician, and Santa
Claus. Gifts were also distributed.
The club donated 61,500 pounds to the orphanage for a bride. Club member
Mrs. Suzanne Samaha also donated a wedding dress for the orphanage’s
next bride. Mrs. Enas Megahed distributed a bouquet of chocolates to the
club members in appreciation and thanks for the Sphinx family.
It was a day filled with positive energy and love, felt by all
attendees, members, and children.

Sphinx IWC

On Monday, April 22, 2024, under the theme “Shine A Light,” Mrs. Soha Salem, president of Sphinx IWC hosted a meeting at the Giza Yacht Club, attended by several members. Mrs. Salem began with a warm welcome and then detailed the donations made during the 2023/2024 year, totaling 321,000 pounds. She emphasized the importance of continuing support for the Yasmine Al-Samra Foundation, highlighting its significance as a sustainable project for the club’s charitable endeavors. Wishing ongoing success in their philanthropic efforts.

On Sunday, February 11, 2024, members of Sphinx IWC , led by Mrs. Soha Salem, attended an engagement celebration at the orphanage of the Muslim Women’s Association. They contributed 7000 EL for the occasion. The association is overseen by our respected colleague, Mrs. Nahed Issa.

Chairman D95 Mrs. Mona Abu Al- attended the event along with Mrs. Omneya Hanna, the district’s Honorary Secretary. Congratulations and heartfelt appreciation to the Orphanage management for their dedication. We always wish them continued success.

Sphinx Club

December 17th.

On Thursday, 14/12/2023 , Mrs. Soha Salem, President of Sphinx IW Club, and Mrs. Amani Ezzat, member of District board, visited the Baheya Breast Cancer Foundation’s new building in Sheikh Zayed City .

They were received by Mrs. Gilan Flefela, Member of the Board of Directors of Baheya Foundation, who took them on a tour in the building.

Throughout this great medical edifice, they visited Bahia shop & checked their products.

They met some of the volunteers who help in making the products in

support of cancer fighters that contribute in bringing joy to the female combatants.

Sphinx Club donated the amount of 20,000 Egyptian pounds in addition to the previous donation of 15,000 pounds, so the total of 35,000 Egyptian pounds was donated for the treatment of 7 chemotherapy cases of Bahia’s fighters. Charitable work is always appreciated.
