Connecting Nature, Wellness, and Human Bonds

Under the theme “Heartbeat of Humanity”, and inspired by the Inner Wheel Club of Amman/Petra’s commitment to supporting local projects, fostering social bonds, and recognizing the profound connection between nature and mental well-being, the club organized a warm nature hike on the morning of April 9, 2025. The event was initiated by Mrs. Lina Al-Husseini and attended by members of the administrative board.
The hike was joined by friends of Petra Club, along with Mrs. Fadia Yard, President of the Inner Wheel Club of Amman, making it a special occasion that beautifully blended physical activity, inner peace, and meaningful companionship.
The journey began in the Dibeen Forests, where spirits rose alongside towering trees touching the sky, and footsteps moved in harmony with the songs of birds. The group followed scenic trails through the lush Burma Forests, reaching a breathtaking view of King Talal Dam, where clear blue waters embrace the green mountains in a view that delights the heart and soothes the soul.
Midway through the hike, everyone paused for a peaceful rest — gathering under the shade of ancient trees, enjoying the cool breeze and the serenity of nature.
The day concluded with warmth and simplicity at Um Mustafa’s Restaurant, a charming countryside eatery rich in authenticity and one of Petra Club’s sustainable community projects. The club continuously supports this initiative financially, believing in the importance of empowering women and encouraging them to develop their small businesses. The group gathered around a table filled with delicious traditional dishes, closing the day with unforgettable flavors, warm memories, and deep gratitude for an experience that seamlessly connected nature, wellness, and genuine human connection.
