Members of the Inner Wheel Club of Petra, headed by Mrs. Lynne Farradj Muasher, and in the presence of the President of the Inner Wheel Club of Amman, Mrs. Fayrouz Badwan, and the President of the Inner Wheel Club of Philadelphia, Mrs. Nazi Qopti, watched the Palestinian film “Between Heaven and Earth” at Baraka Mall Cinema. The meeting was attended by the director of the film, Najwa Najjar, and its producer Hani Al-Qurt. The screening of the film was followed by questions and answers between the audience and the director.
The film won the Naguib Mahfouz Award for Best Screenplay, within the competitions of the 41st Cairo Film Festival International Competition. It tells the story of the love and divorce of a Palestinian couple, Tamer and Salma, on their journey to obtain official papers necessary for their divorce between the cities of occupied Palestine.
Between Heaven and Earth is a film that depicts the daily life of the inhabitants of Palestine under occupation.
At the end of the meeting, Mrs. Muasher thanked the attendees, and presented Mrs. Najjar with a bouquet of flowers in appreciation of her role in shedding light on the suffering of the Palestinian people through the sublime humanitarian message of art.
In the name of the Inner Wheel Club of Petra, Mrs. Chihabi made a cash donation to the project. The construction, establishment and operation of the productive kitchen came in cooperation with the Bookagri, a social enterprise concerned with developing agricultural tourism in rural areas to introduce the rural Jordanian cuisine. This productive project aims to provide continuous support and a stable income to enable the women in charge of it to live a decent life, as this kitchen specializes in the manufacture of several food products, especially those made from the organic tomato crop grown in Jerash.
The women of the administrative body were received by Dr. Fadia Samara, founder, and president of “Himmetna”, who briefed the audience on the projects accomplished by the organization, which contribute to the development and support of the public health sector, and the improvement of health care provided to citizens. It also presented the steps taken by the Society in implementing its recently launched project to develop and modernize 25 health centers in various regions of the Kingdom.
Mrs. Chihabi, President of Inner Wheel Club of Petra, commended the good efforts made by the “Hemmitna” and made a cash donation in the name of IWC of Petra to cover the costs of equipping the children’s clinic at Princess Basma Health Center, which represents the first phase of the project.
At the end of the meeting, Mrs. Chihabi expressed her pride in the good efforts and remarkable achievements made by those in charge of managing the “Himmetna” charity organization and are still achieving them to serve the less fortunate in our society.
The women of the Inner Wheel Club of Petra provided Dar Al-Salam with foodstuffs and health care supplies. Mrs. Nahla Qubain donated olive oil to the house.
The nuns in charge of the administration of Dar Al- Salaam thanked the Inner Wheel Petra Club for their generous donation.

The women of the Inner Wheel Club Petra toured the facilities of the Dar Al-Ihssan buildings, and they accepted the invitation of mothers who benefit from the services of the association to visit their homes.
Mrs. Chehabi presented to Mr. Ibrahim Al-Shami, member of the administrative board, a check with a cash amount in support of the Inner Wheel Petra Club for this charitable project.
The club’s women also offered a number of candy boxes to the residents of Dar Al-Ihsan on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan and Eid Al-Fitr.
