On Thursday the 24th of March 2022, Inner Wheel Club of Alexandria , headed by Dr. Amel El Ghitany visited the Alexandria Water Company to donate 10 water connections for the benefit of the national project “Hayah Kareema” in the West Nubaria area.
Many thanks to everyone who contributed to the completion of this project to serve the less fortunate.

On march 14th,2022, members IWC of Alexandria headed by Mrs. Nadia Mohi El-Din completed the charitable exhibition that was held at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Alexandria University, and continues for three consecutive days. It also includes students’ clothes at a low price.
This exhibition is held every year to help students, staff, and workers of the University.
The exhibition was inaugurated by the Dean of the College
Dr. Mervat Qassem, Dr. Hamida, the exhibition coordinator, Dr. Sherif Rostom, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, and a group of faculty professors.
The university fees of the unable students will be reimbursed from the income of the exhibition.

The Inner Wheel of Alexandria was headed by Dr. Amel El Ghitany held a celebration on Monday (March 7th) to mark the end of the club’s project “Economic Empowerment of Women.” The project achieves the general objectives of The Inner Wheel, especially since this year’s logo is “Women First.” The project was completed for three sessions from October 2021 to February 2022. The women and girls “28 women” were trained on the characters and professions required for the labour market at the moment. The project was in cooperation with the African Center for Women’s Health Services and was a permanent partner until the end of the three courses and represented the center Mrs/ Sherine Farag, Director of the Department of Women’s Development at the Center. In cooperation with the Directorate of Social Solidarity in Alexandria, the celebration was attended Mrs/ Laila Al-Qadi, Director of the Department of Women’s Affairs in the Directorate. Also, the Faculty of Quality Education at Alexandria University was a partner in training the ladies. We were honoured by the presence of Dr. Mona Moussa, Dean of the College, and Dr. Bahia Al-Akhreety, Undersecretary of the College for Community Service and Environmental Development. Also, the presence of the remaining implementation and training partners, Mrs/ Nasrin Jebali (Kiko Event Company) and Mrs/ Rania Ayad (Portal Training Academy). The celebration included presenting the project in detail and the developments of the various stages over a period of months. Then, we gave thanks and certificates of appreciation to all who participated. Some of the trainees presented their personal experience in front of the audience, and the certificates of attending the courses were handed to all the interns. We thank all those who contributed to this project, which we hope would have had a great impact on developing the role of women in society. May God count this as a good deed for us all.

Inner Wheel Club of Alexandria , headed by Dr. Amal El-Ghetani, visited the “Alexandria Children’s Cancer Hospital” in Borg El Arab, to contribute to the establishment of the “Radiation Therapy Center for Children”, which serves the Governments  of Alexandria, Beheira, Matrouh and Kafr El-Sheikh.
The president of the club donated a  check to the Director of the Hospital.
In turn, she received a certificate of thanks and appreciation from the hospital for the club’s effort in establishing this new and specialized center for children’s service.

8/7/2021 – Under the slogan of Inner Wheel this year “Pink First”, Inner Wheel Club of Alexandria visited the Intellectual Rehabilitation Foundation for Girls in Al- Seyouf area today, Thursday, July 8, 2021. Mrs. Amel El Ghitani, the club’s president, Mrs. Rawda Al-Shazly, the treasurer, and Ms. Mona Al-Sahn, the club’s member distributed Eid clothes for girls, as well as distributed Eid meat coupons and food supplies to the girls’ families.

8/7/2021 – To celebrate the coming of Eid Al-Adha, the Inner Wheel Club of  Alexandria visited the Social Defense Complex for Child Care for homeless children. Mrs. Amel El-Ghitany, the club’s president accompanied with  Mrs. Samia Hatata, Past D95 Chairman, and Mrs. Rawda Al-Shazly the Treasurer& some Club members, distributed Eid clothes for children, as well as Eid meat coupons and food supplies to the complex’s workers. The activities of the complex and the children’s sports and artistic activities, such as drawing, singing, and music, were also introduced which won the audience’s admiration and spread an atmosphere of joy and pleasure during the visit.

IWC of Alexandria Donating an IQ test device to Abcher Association for Special Needs

  2/6/ 2021  – The Inner Wheel Club of Alexandria headed by President Omayma Helaly visited Abcher Association for special needs and donated an IQ test device for special needs.

The club also donated an electric wheelchair for a 15 year old child who hasn’t been able to walk due to muscle dystrophy.

5/6/2021 – Under this year’s slogan Lead the Change

The Inner Wheel Club of Alexandria headed by Mrs. Omayma Helaly visited Abcher Association for special needs and donated a sewing workshop that consists of different sewing machines and sewing materials as well as a special machine for leather products so that the students and their parents can produce cloths, bed sheets and leather bags which we hope can change their lives for the better financially and morally.

IWC of Alexandria distributed feast’s new cloths & cookies to the children in the Child Care Agency & Intellectual Education Institute for girls.

6/5/2021 – The Inner Wheel Club of Alexandria headed by Mrs Omayma Helaly distributed Eid feast’s new cloths and cookies to the homeless children in the Child Care Agency. Also, Eid cookies were given to the students at the Intellectual Education Institute for boarding girls as well as their families.

We hope that we were able to add Eid happy spirit to their hearts.
