On Monday 29/11/2021, Inner Wheel Club of Petra headed by Mrs. Lynn Farraj Muasher, visited the “Safsaf Center” of the Jordanian Society for Psychological Rehabilitation, which was established in 1989 under the chairmanship of Mrs. Haifa Al-Bashir and works on psychological, social and professional rehabilitation for the beneficiaries of the Society’s services, to achieve their proper integration into society and economic empowerment for them, in order to reduce the social stigma associated with mental illness.
The association also provides psychological support and rehabilitation and vocational training in sewing, weaving, mosaic, music, carpentry and computer.
The ladies made a tour in which they were briefed on the association’s distinguished facilities, and how the beneficiaries spend their time and their internal residence.
Mrs. Muasher presented a check from the members of the IWC of Petra for this charitable foundation, and its noble goals.

Members  of  IWC of Petra, headed by Mrs. Lynne Muasher  made a trip to the Scandinavian forest, the coniferous forest covering an area of 5,000 acres, which His Majesty King Hussein bin Talal, may God rest his soul, named it by this name in honor of the King of Sweden Carl Gustaf during his visit to Jordan, where they planted its first tree together in 1989.
The ladies spent an enjoyable time in nature, on an hour’s hike away from the city’s noise on a beautiful hill overlooking the city of Amman.

World Tourism Day Celebration

In celebration of World Tourism Day . IWC of Amman- Petra President Manal Nahawi ,Board members and friends with the presence of Chairman of D95 Egypt &Jordan Mrs.Suzan Tayeh joined forces with local initiative Himmeh W Lammeh “organizers of Jordan’s Clean Up Day” and in collaboration with the Jordan Inbound Tour Operators Association (JITOA) to raise awareness about the importance of our national touristic sites, and how important it is to safeguard them from pollution.
With a strong sense of social responsibility and patriotism, members of IWC of Petra spread out in the streets of Jabal Luweibdeh / Amman as part of their strong belief in The IIW Chairman’s motto for this year, “Together We Can”.
Mrs Nuha Asfour President of IWC of Amman and Al Shams Al Mushriqa Organization and The Society for Protecting Family Violence Victims took part in Jordan’s Clean Up Day.
It was a beautiful morning where friendship and heightened sense of community worked hand in hand to serve our beautiful country.

Inner Wheel Club of Petra Donates Sewing Machines to the Sewing Training Project in Jerash

One of the projects of Inner Wheel Club of Petra this year is to donate sewing machines and equipment to the sewing training project in Jerash, affiliated to Princess Taghrid Institute for Development & Training in order to provide women with employment opportunities, empower them and provide them with a decent future.
