Garden City IWC -a celebration at Al-Jazeera Sports Club

Garden City IWC

Under the slogan “ Shine A Light,” the Garden City IW Club, led by Didi Al-Sourani, along with its esteemed members, and the Rotary Club Cairo River Nile, headed by Hana Al-Batran, held a celebration at Al-Jazeera Sports Club on Sunday, June 9, 2024. The event was attended by Magda Al-Alfi, the Club founder. The celebration brought together 40 children from an orphanage in Al-Badrashin and 30 elderly residents from the Umm Hani House for the Elderly in Imbababa.

The event featured meals, sweets, gifts, Eid money for the elderly, an Arajouz puppet show, and a variety of delightful entertainment for both children and adults. Everyone enjoyed this special day, which lasted from 6 to 10 in the evening.

Innerwheel Garden City extends its gratitude to Eng. Sherif Saif Al-Nasr, president of the Al-Jazeera Sports Club, and the club’s board of directors for sponsoring and supporting this event.

Naser City IWC – Visit to Alexandria

Naser City IWC

Members of Nasr City IW Club including Ms. Awatef El-Nasharty, former Chairman of District 95, Mrs. Iman Algemie, club treasurer, Mrs. Mona Algemie, former District 95 organizer, and Mrs. Jihan Algemie, club secretary, joined Mrs. Mona Abu Al-Futouh, Chairman of District 95, Egypt and Jordan, and her board for a visit to Alexandria on April 27 and 28, 2024. They met with presidents and members from Alexandria & Damanhour Inner Wheel clubs presenting their projects for the year.

The visit encompassed tours of the Greco-Roman Museum, Alexandria’s picturesque beaches, and a visit to Ayadi 4040 Hospital to support cancer patients in need.

Mansoura IWC – visit to Alexandria

Mansoura IWC
Mrs. Shadia Al-Ashry, President of Mansoura IWC and a sizable group of club members, joined Mrs. Mona Abu Al-Futouh, chairman of district 95/Egypt and Jordan, and her esteemed board in their visit to Alexandria on May 27, 2024. They met with various Alexandria clubs (Alexandria, Alexandria East, El Nozha, Sporting, Mediterranean, Capital, and Cleopatra) and the Damanhour Club to showcase completed projects. During the visit, they also toured the Greco-Roman Museum, the beaches of Alexandria and a visit to Ayadi 4040 Hospital, spreading positivity and
goodwill in the spirit of friendship and unity. Gratitude was extended to the Alexandria clubs for their warm welcome and gracious hospitality.

Nasr City IWC – Light and Hope (Al Nour wel Amal) Association in Nasr City for elderly blind women visit

Under the slogan “Shine a Light,” On Tuesday, April 30, Nasr City IW Club headed by Mrs. Sherine Arafa and some of the club’s members, visited the Light and Hope (Al Nour wel Amal) Association in Nasr City for elderly blind women.
Their gesture of spending time, sharing gifts, and showing kindness is truly inspiring and impactful. It’s wonderful to see communities coming together to support those in need.
They also toured the association to see the handicrafts made by the inmates and see the conditions of the association.

Al Tahrir IWC – support Egyptian industries and market small manufacturers

Mrs. Mona Abu Al-Futouh, chairman of D/95 Egypt & Jordan, attended a charity exhibition hosted by Al-Tahrir IWC and sponsored by the Board of Directors of El Gezira Sporting Club. The event, organized to support Egyptian industries and market small manufacturers, aimed to benefit “Al-Khair Island,” which supports the workers of Gezira Sporting Club. The exhibition occurred on April 26 and 27, 2024, and was led by Mrs. Fatma Barrada, drawing participation from members of IWC Al Tahrir.

Zamalek IWC – supporting the Old Egypt Girls’ Shelter

Zamalek IWC.
Zamalek IW Club, led by Mrs. Sanaa Al-Malwani, supervises the club’s sustainable initiative aimed at supporting the Old Egypt Girls’ Shelter.
This shelter accommodates 80 orphan girls with disabilities, offering them healthcare services including regular medical assessments and monitoring. Additionally, the club focuses on enhancing the girls’ skills and development.

Zamalek IWC – Dar es Salaam Oncology Center donation

Zamalek IWC
On December 23, 2023, Mrs. Sanaa Al-Malwani, president of Zamalek IW Club, donated 39,600 pounds to the Dar es Salaam Oncology Center “Hermel” to aid in cancer treatment and support patient recovery efforts.

IW Of Zamalek Club – Luxor and Aswan trip

IW Of Zamalek Club.
Under the theme “Shine A Light,” a remarkable journey to the world’s oldest ancient cities unfolded—a luxurious cruise to Luxor and Aswan from Friday, February 16 to Monday, February 19, 2024. The expedition, led by Ms. Sanaa Al-Malwani of Zamalek IWC commenced in Aswan, where members visited iconic sites such as the Temple of Philae, the High Dam, Edfu, the Temple of Komombo, the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, and the Valley of the Kings. Evenings were filled with lively galabiya parties featuring Nubian entertainment. Subsequently, the delegation ventured to the ancient city of Luxor to explore the Karnak temples and then spent a full day cruising aboard a tourist boat along the majestic Nile River.
The journey concluded as the delegation returned to Cairo, having relished an enchanting time amidst incomparable tourist attractions and monuments.

IW Of Zamalek Club – Alexandria journey

IW Of Zamalek Club .
Under the slogan “Shine A Light” Zamalek IW Club, led by Mrs. Sanaa Al-Malwani, embarked on a journey to Alexandria, known as the jewel of the Mediterranean, on November 29 and November 30. The excursion started with a tour of the Fathi Mahmoud Ceramic and Chinese Factory, a symbol of Egyptian industry with the label “Made in Egypt.” Following this, the group had lunch at a seaside fish restaurant while relishing the sunset views. The following day, members explored the New Roman Museum, known as the largest and most exquisite museum in the Middle East, with insights & information provided by the tour guide. The outing was a delightful opportunity for members to strengthen their bonds of love and friendship.

IW Of Zamalek Club – Zamalek sustainable initiatves

IW Of Zamalek Club.
For nearly 28 years, Zamalek IW Club has been dedicated to its sustainable initiative, supporting approximately 400 impoverished families in the Old Cairo, Antar Stable, and 6th of October areas. This year, led by Mrs. Sanaa Al-Malwani, the club continued its annual tradition by providing assistance totaling one million seven hundred and fifty thousand pounds from July 1, 2023, to March 31, 2024. The aid encompassed medical care such as surgeries; treatments; and tests : monthly allowances for those unable to work; payment of tuition fees, support for brides, covering fines, granting revolving loans for small businesses, distributing Ramadan provisions and holiday meals, and furnishing an apartment for three young children in need. With the help of esteemed members and organizations like Madiha Al-Sharqawi, the Arman Association, Majda Abbas, and the Joud Association. The club was able to make a significant impact on these families. In particular, they provided a home and education for three abandoned children, thanks to the efforts of Yasmine Abu Youssef and the Tawasul Association, founded by Mrs. Afaf Abu Youssef, ensuring the children’s well-being and moral development. All achievements were made possible through the members’ dedication and God’s grace.
