IWC of Amman Philadelphia visits the “Moonlight Charitable Association”

 On July 16th, 2022,

Mrs. Duha Bushnaq Abdul Hadi, President of Inner Wheel Club of Amman Philadelphia, Mrs. Widad El-Far, Vice President, Mrs. Hanan Ghawi, the Honorary secretary, and Mrs. Alia Aliyan, visited the “Moonlight Charitable Association” for the care of orphans to learn about the needs of the association.

This association was founded in February 2019. It serves more than one hundred children between the ages of seven and fourteen through presenting educational and musical courses, as well as in-kind and monetary support to needy families.

The Inner Wheel Club of Amman Philadelphia distributed 50 uniforms to the children, especially members of the choir.

The delegation enjoyed the singing of several talented children who deserve all the admiration and appreciation.

At the end of the visit, everyone had breakfast, which was provided by the club.

Mr. Mohammad Ayoub Yassin, President of the association, thanked the IWC President of Amman Philadelphia and the accompanying delegation for their assistance.

IWC of Alexandria Visited the Intellectual Rehabilitation Institution

On the holy Eid Al-Adha feast On Wednesday 6th of July 2022, the Inner Wheel Club of Alexandria headed by Mrs. Mona El Hakim distributed Eid coupons to all the students and staff of the Intellectual Rehabilitation Institution. The club members also paid a visit to the Vocational Rehabilitation center for girls located at the same Institute to visit the arts and crafts classes founded by the club where the girls are trained according to their mental and physical abilities on how to use the loom for rug products, embroidery on bedsheets and tablecloths, beading different accessories, drawing, and cooking so the girls can depend on themselves and can also raise an income.

District 95 Egypt and Jordan Handover

On June 25th, 2022 at Le Pasha -Zamalek at 1:00 p.m., the last official Inner Wheel meeting for the year 2022/2021 ,followed by the handover ceremony of District 95 Egypt and Jordan  to Chairwoman and National Representative for the year 2022/2023.

The meeting began with the speech of the NR Mrs. Iman Al-Bashari, by welcoming the Jordanian delegation, the Executive Board Committee, the District former presidents , Clubs’ presidents and members.

Mrs. Iman praised the many charitable works that she was proud of as she wrote the annual report of the International Inner Wheel for the projects of D95 Egypt and Jordan, which cost 19 million Egyptian pounds in all areas that serve women and children in health, education and others.
She also announced the name of the next IIW president for the year 2022/2023 from Philippines Mrs. Zenaida Farcon and her Theme ” Work Wonders”.
Mrs. El Bashari mentioned that she is so happy, for the first time, that two of the IW members in one year received the highest honor from the International Inner Wheel, which is the Margaret Golding Award, namely, Mrs. Zainab Al-Ghazali and Mrs. Hanaa El-Sadat.
Finally, she thanked DC Mrs. Hala Hagrass and her Executive Board Committee and announced the coming National Representative for the year 2022/2023, will be Mrs. Suzan Al Tayeh from Jordan and Ms. Ghania Al Tayeh for the year 2023/2024 from Jordan.

She indicated that due to special circumstances, she gave up her right to run for the International Board of Directors of IIW next year 2022-2023 and will give it to the IWC of Amman in Jordan, while retaining her right to run for the year 2023-2024.

Ms. Mona Aboul Fotouh, District Honorary Secretary made a presentation for the official meetings and the visits of DC Hala Hagrass to all clubs and projects throughout the year 2021/2022.

The speech of DC Mrs. Hala Hagrass, came with thanks and gratitude for the work with her EBC this year and the wonderful efforts and projects provided by all the clubs in Egypt and Jordan, especially the donation made by the clubs to make a breast cancer examination room in Baheya Hospital, Sheikh Zayed Branch, which costed 619 thousand Egyptian pounds.

Words went on to the rest of the members of the Executive Board Committee of D95.

Mrs. Hala Hagrass also distributed certificates of thanks and appreciation to her EBC members and club presidents for their fruitful efforts to serve the community for those who are less fortunate.

Finally, the hand-over ceremony for the year 2022/2023 began.

The Chairwoman of District 95 Egypt and Jordan, Mrs. Hala Hagrass met in the presence of the National Representative Mrs. Iman Al-Bashari, and the Executive Committee of District 95, with guest members IWCs of Egypt of and the three Inner Wheel Clubs of Jorden, Amman, Philadelphia and Petra, at the Amman Rotana Hotel.
Mrs. Hala listened to the presentations of the three clubs’ projects during this year by the club’s Presidents .
She then gave a speech in which she thanked the clubs for the efforts made and urged them to cooperate among themselves to work on joint mega projects.
Mrs. Iman Al-Bashari, gave a speech in which she clarified some of the Inner Wheel laws and announced the name and logo of next year’s International Inner Wheel President coming from the Philippines.
At the end of the meeting, Mrs. Hala Hagrass presented a letter of thanks and appreciation to the presidents of the three clubs.

Attended the illiteracy eradication classes exams in Abu Nomros area in Giza, with the number 95 ladies.
Incentives were distributed to them and we wish them success and completion of the study to prep school.

On May 11th, 12th and 13th 2022,the Inner Wheel Club of Alexandria El Nozha headed by Mrs. Omayma El Gharbi donated the costs of 10 eye surgeries at Gamal Hamada Central Hospital.
Including 6 cases of cataracts surgeries
And 2 cases of Lucentis injections in the eye
And 2 cases of pterygium.
In addition to 14 cases of cataracts at the Eye-Care Center.

In continuation of charity work and community service, on Monday, May 9th, 2022, the Inner wheel Club of El Nile headed by Mrs. Gehad Nasser donated prosthetic limbs to 15 cases of people with mobility disabilities, with a total amount of L.E. 114,500.00. The donation of prosthetic limbs is one of the most important sustainable projects for the club.

In line with IW theme (Pink First) and (Strong Women, Stronger world), IW club of Amman headed by Mrs. Fayrouz Badwan and her committee supported the active honorary member Mrs. Abeer Dajani, in helping a lady who’s life changed during the Covid times, from lack of income and being unlucky as her house burned down due to an electric short circuit.
This woman’s story prompted Mrs Abeer Dajani to ask the club’s ladies and their friends and the local community for help.
The interaction was great, the combined efforts either by donating money or furniture needed for the house, restored the lady’s home to what it was before .
Always together in lending a helping hand where it is needed.

Innerwheel Club of Tanta
headed by Mrs. Amira Aref
purchased 5,500 sheets of Braille designed and dedicated to be used as an answer sheets and handing them over to the Al-Nour Institute for the Blind in Tanta, so that the Institute’s students could be encouraged and enabled to perform their exams.
