Inner Wheel Club D95

On the Christmas eve , members of Inner Wheel Club of Amman, headed by Mrs. Fairouz Badwan accompanied by Mrs. Jida Farradj delivered boxes containing foodstuffs to some less fortunate families celebrating Christmas.

Inner Wheel Club of Tanta, headed by Mrs. Amira Aref in cooperation with Tanta Sports Club, a celebration was organized to honor the club’s heroes with special needs (we can, although we are different), together with the International Day for People with Special Needs and the interest of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and his constant urging to integrate them into the society.

The ceremony included artistic performances and sports competitions, during which prizes, T-shirts and meals were distributed to the participants.

Members of  Inner Wheel Club of Alexandria East  headed by Mrs. Nadia Mohy El Den, donated a check with the amount of L.E.  112,000.00  to the Water Holding Company to participate in the work of water connections in ABIS and the surrounding villages on the borders of Alexandria, as an extension of the cooperation protocol that took place last year.

Following our IIW theme “Pink First” and the state’s efforts to promote women’s economic status through teaching and training in order to allow women to create small projects which can assure them raise an income and achieve economic independence.

Inner Wheel Club of Alexandria, in association with the Social Affairs Directorate and the African Center for Women’s Health shared in implementing three different sessions to different groups of women in which they were taught various crafts and also given courses in management and sales of projects under specialists and academic teachers, the club also donated the materials needed to achieve the projects.

 IWC of Alexandria headed by Dr Amal El Ghitany and distinguished member visited the center and attended the presentation of the great work achieved by the young women.

Many thanks to all who shared in the success of this special project which aim to promote women in the society.

Inner Wheel Club of Cairo headed by Mrs. Wageiha Anwar  held a joint meeting with  Rotary Club of Cairo.

The meeting was organized by Mrs Noha El-Zeini – HS of RC of Cairo headed by Mr. Mohamed Hassouna.

Spokesperson Dr. Naima Al-Qusayr, representative of the” WHO” in Egypt and Senior in the Eastern Mediterranean Region.

The meeting was attended by Mrs. Reem Nazih, ISO for D95 Egypt and Jordan, members of the Rotary and IWCs members and professors doctors of the Faculty of Medicine.

IWC of Cairo was established on November 23, 1971, with the encouragement of IIW at the time, Mrs. Nancy Sharp and wife of a Rotarian.

The club’s first board of directors was formed by Mrs. Laila Abul-Ela, “RIP”, who was the first president of the IWC of Cairo from 1971-1974.

RC of Cairo, with IWC of Cairo, contributed to the establishment of EL Yasmine House for the Elderly at 6 October in the Seventh District, and it was opened in 1993.

Dr. Naima Al-Qasir, spoke about Covid -19 pandemic and its various mutations, and the difference between them, up to Omicron, this strain that appeared in South Africa and moved to many countries and how to protect ourselves, ensure vaccination, wear a mask, distance and avoid crowding.

RC of Cairo celebrated with IWC of Cairo the 50th anniversary of the club establishment.

Within the various projects of  IWC of Heliopolis headed by  Mrs. Maha Rabie visited Zamzam Orphanage in Heliopolis and donated sets of winter clothes.

IWC of Garden City , headed by Mrs. Azza Selim, visited the “Mansourieh Renaissance and Development Association” headed by Mrs. Enas Omar.

The association was gifted artificial models of human organs to explain in the one-class school received by Dr. Suhair Al-Noqrashi, the director of these schools.

Mrs. Enas explained the association’s future projects, the most important of which was discussed was the cooperation protocol between the IWC of Garden City and the Association.

The members donated money to the association for their development projects.

CD95, Mrs. Hala Hagrass and her Executive Board Committee members with   members of IWC  of Nasr City headed by Mrs. Jehan Michael, visited the “Bright Tomorrow Foundation”, which includes a group of different ages with special needs to provide support.

The material and moral of this place, which is one of the basic and sustainable projects of the club is supervised by the member of the club, Mrs. Shahinaz Hafez.

Everyone visited all sections, including the psychological, technical, therapeutic and recreational section, and the aim is to try to integrate this group into society and make them feel that they are part of it.

IWC of Nasr City members donated a large gifts and join the celebration of the 28th anniversary of the foundation in the midst of this atmosphere full of hope, love and radiance.

Members of IWC of Zamalek, headed by Mrs. Hoda Malash, the Treasurer Iman Abdel Latif, the Organizer Rora Mohieldin, District Extension Mrs Nelly Helmy, and Mrs. Nani Nassir visited “Al-Hassan Foundation” which was established by the mother, Mai Ezz El-Din who lost her son 18 years in an accident.

It is the only one in the Arab world that serves wheelchair users.

It serves the age group from 18 to 55 years.

Its goal is to change their lifestyle , help them get jobs and rely on themselves to be a positive part in the society and set up their own productive projects.

The members made a donation of  L.E. 50,000 , as a contribution and encouragement for this distinguished project.
