District Editor – Inner Wheel District 95 Egypt & Jordan (2025–2026)
Dear Inner Wheel friends, It is with great joy and a deep sense of responsibility that I begin my journey as District Editor for Inner Wheel District 95 Egypt & Jordan for the year 2025 2026. Being part of this inspiring organization has been one of the most rewarding journeys of my life, rooted in service, sustainability, and the spirit of genuine connection. As a proud member of the Inner Wheel Club of Amman, I’ve had the honor of serving as Club President for two terms, in 2019–2020 and again in 2023–2024. Throughout these years, I’ve been fortunate to lead and support many charitable and developmental projects focused on long term impact, in health, education, environmental awareness, and economic empowerment. I believe deeply in community centered work and in the power of collaboration to turn meaningful ideas into action. What drives me most is serving with heart, with passion, and with a spirit of positivity. Whether by initiating new efforts, supporting fellow clubs, or simply stepping in when help is needed, I have always believed that our strength as Inner Wheel members lies in our shared energy, commitment, and belief in each other. In 2024, I was humbled to receive the Margarette Golding Award, Inner Wheel’s highest international honor, in recognition of my lifelong voluntary service beyond the organization, especially in uplifting underprivileged communities and advancing sustainable development across Jordan. I was also honored with the Active Honorary Member Pin in 2021–2022, acknowledging the extra efforts and initiatives I carried out beyond any official post, a reflection of my genuine love for Inner Wheel and belief in its mission. Before dedicating myself to community work, I proudly served in the Jordan Armed Forces for 34 years, retiring as Major General, the highest administrative rank achieved by a woman in Jordan. My years in the military, honored with several high-ranking medals, continue to shape my values of discipline, service, and purpose. As I take on the role of District Editor, I do so with great enthusiasm and commitment. I look forward to highlighting the incredible work of our clubs across Egypt and Jordan, and to celebrating the passion, friendship, and positive impact that define Inner Wheel at its very best. Guided by this year’s theme, “Step Up and Lead by Example,” I remain committed to the willingness to serve with heart and purpose, values that have shaped my Inner Wheel journey and that I will continue to uphold throughout this new chapter.
Warm regards,
Nuha Asfour
