Supporting Education: Renovating Desks at Fatma Al-Zahraa School in
Al-Warraq.

As part of its ongoing community service efforts, the Inner Wheel Club
of Gezira Sporting, under the presidency of Dr. Asrar El-Borai, carried
out a project in April to renovate the desks at Fatma Al-Zahraa School
in Al-Warraq — a school the club has been supporting since 2003.

Field visits revealed that the condition of the desks was extremely
poor, with a severe shortage in their number, forcing some students to
attend classes while standing. In response to this urgent need, the club
took the initiative to refurbish some of the existing iron desks by
adding the necessary wooden panels to make them usable again. A total of
48 desks were renovated, covering the needs of all students.

This initiative comes as a continuation of the club’s commitment to
supporting education and ensuring a suitable learning environment for
students, stemming from its belief in the importance of investing in
future generations.

Supporting Cancer Hospital 57357

Under the theme “The Heartbeat of Humanity,”
Mrs. Gehan Fahim, President of the Inner Wheel Club of Nasr City, accompanied by several club members, visited Hospital 57357 on Monday, April 28th.
During the visit, they met with Ms. Samar Mahmoud and toured the Art Therapy and Creativity Center at the hospital. They explored its various departments and learned how children’s fears and suffering are transformed into artistic activities that help strengthen their immunity and improve their response to treatment.
This form of therapy is particularly notable for discovering children’s talents across different age groups and for organizing exhibitions and competitions showcasing their artwork and handicrafts. The proceeds from these exhibitions are used to fund activities within the center.

At the end of the visit, the members met with Dr. Sherif Abou El Naga, the hospital director, and presented a donation check of thirty thousand Egyptian pounds to support free medical treatment at the hospital. They also purchased several pieces of artwork created by the children of the center.

Supporting Baheya Hospital with Generous Donation

On March 27, 2025, under the heartfelt theme ” Heartbeat of Humanity,” the Inner Wheel Club of New Cairo, led by Ms. Lina Shaker and accompanied by Mrs. Nihal Elbakry, Past Deputy National Representative and Past Club President, along with Club Member Mrs. Rania Elkashef, paid a meaningful visit to Baheya Breast Cancer Hospital in Sheikh Zayed to present a donation of EGP 85,000 for the purchase of a steam sterilizer.
The importance of sterilization in hospitals cannot be overstated. High-pressure steam is used to eliminate microorganisms, including bacteria, viruses, and germs, making it an essential and highly effective method for sterilizing medical and surgical instruments and other hospital equipment.
During the visit, the delegation toured the hospital’s units and received a detailed briefing from the hospital director on the history and establishment of Baheya. They learned about the inspiring journey of Bahia Wehbe, who generously donated her villa to be renovated and transformed into a hospital after her passing, turning it into a beacon of hope for breast cancer patients.
Bahia Wehbe recognized the urgent need for advanced diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer in Egypt during her personal battle with the disease. She envisioned a place where women could receive the care they deserved without having to travel abroad. Her dream became a reality, embodying a spirit of compassion and determination.
It was truly an inspiring visit—every great achievement begins with a dream.
