Inner Wheel Club of Alexandria Capital

– Tuition fees for underprivileged students(Education support project)

On Monday, October 14th, 2024, after three weeks of working , the
payment of government school fees for underprivileged students was
completed for 101 students from many schools in Alexandria (Abbas
Elakkad, Elnozhah, Elnabaweya, Cleopatrah, Heliopolis, Erfan,
Elalamein,..and others)
Work is underway to pay the fees of final year students at Alexandria
universities
Thank you to everyone who contributed to the completion of this work.

Support Education.

 On Monday, 23 September, IWC of Alexandria Sporting headed by Amani
Sleem, and secretary Hala Ghitany visited EBS school ( El Naser
Alexandria school for boys) and donated a sum of money for students who
are not able to pay the school fees to complete their middle school
grade.

• Supporting education and improving the school environment for
students

On Monday, September 23th, 2024,
Under the theme „ Heartbeat of Humanity „

IWC of Alexandria Capital
 headed by Dr. Nevine Abdel Rassoul and the honorary secretary, Dr. Ola
Ewais, visited” Bab Al Ahrar” elementary school in Abis and donated 120
school bags. As well as four blackboards for the classrooms.

One of Prophet Mohammad’s great teachings is “Charity” and is
always revived on his birthday (Peace upon him). In accordance with the
great day, and under the theme “Heartbeat of Humanity ”, on Thursday
September 12, IWC of Nasr City headed by Mrs Mona Elgemiee, visited the
“General Authority of Cleaning of Cairo” West Nasr City to celebrate
the Prophet Mohamed’s birthday.

The IWC members distributed sums of money and meals to the garbage
cleaners and employees in the Authority. Additionally, Mrs Shahinaz
Hashem, member of the club & CEO of the Association (Bright Tomorrow for
Special Needs), gifted a set of shirts and pants to them.

Mrs. Shereen Arafa, the past president, Mrs. Eman Elgemiee, IWC of Nasr
City treasurer, Mrs. Gihan Elgemiee, the Secretary, and Mrs. Mona El
Said, The Correspondant participated in the visit. Recognizing employees
lets them know that their work is valued and appreciated.

Im line with the IIW theme Heartbeat of Humanity” Inner Wheel club of Amman
launched donation drives to empower education in less fortunate
communities, the donations are as follows:

Women’s Tailoring Centre (sustainable project): fabrics, threads in
order to teach sewing, as well as fabrics to sew forty school uniforms
for incapable students. Two additional water tanks with installation to
a school due to the school desperate need. Sixty Two shoes were
distributed to students who are in dire need for them and attended
barefooted to the school. Donation to “Sanahya Keraman Charity
Association” (Meaning live with dignity” to empower education. This
is for a five-month educational course for five children who suffer from
communication, thinking and speech problems where a third grade child
education level is like a kindergarten child.

On Tuesday 20th August 2024
Under the theme “Heartbeat of Humanity” and to support education and
improve the learning environment for underprivileged students, INNER
WHEEL Club of Amman Petra presided by Ms. Lina Al Husseini, with
attendance of several board members, including past president Mrs. Dina
Kababji, treasurer Mrs. Saneen Shehabi, and international coordinator
Mrs. Mai Al-Masri has launched a new initiative to empower education in
underprivileged communities. The club donated school bags filled with
all necessary school supplies to 40 children in the azzociation’s
quarters of the “Family Development Association”.
Finally, the president of the IWC of Amman/Petra Club extends her
sincere thanks and appreciation to the club members for their valuable
contributions to this campaign, which aims to create a healthy
educational environment for students and empower them to build a
brighter future.

On August 19 ,at the beginning of the school year, and in support of
education,President Maha SHA’BAN of IWC of Amman Philadelphia with
some of her committee members distributed school bags with stationary
and sweets to four schools from KG to Grade 9 in the underprivileged
area of Um Al Rasas , south of Amman with the help of the charitable
foundation team located in that area “We make the difference “.

Empowering Education: Donating School Bags and Water Coolers to the
underprivileged

Under the theme “Heartbeat of Humanity” and to support education and
improve the learning environment for underprivileged students, INNER
WHEEL Club of Amman presided by Ms. Fadia Yared, in the attendance of
some committee members and Club members; as well as Mrs. Abeer Dajani
District 95– Chairman  Egypt & Jordan has launched a donation drive in
Kafrein Area (a rural remote underprivileged deserted area near the Dead
Sea) south of Amman on Tuesday 20th August 2024. They distributed 300
school bags containing basic supplies that are essential during the
year. The second initiative was a donation of five water coolers
machines with filters  to four different schools in need. Water coolers
provide clean and safe drinking water. These initiatives aim to
alleviate some of the challenges faced by students in less fortunate
communities and to create a healthier school environment for a brighter
future.

Under the slogan of the year  2024-2025 “

Heartbeat of Humanity,” IW Alexandria Elnozha, headed by Mrs Heba
Elkady, purchased 9 laryngoscopes and other medical supplies for Ras
Elteen general hospital. These supplies can be useful in multiple
hospital settings, from the emergency department to intensive care units
and operating rooms.

Under this year’s slogan, “The Heartbeat of Humanity”, on the 5th of August 2024, the IWC (e-club) of New Cairo, led by Ms. Lina Shaker installed four prosthetic limbs at a total cost of 61,000 LE. This initiative provides an alternative solution for individuals suffering from limb amputations, aiming to remove obstacles and facilitate their integration into society and daily life. Each patient’s condition was thoroughly assessed, and a skilled prosthetic technician customized and attached the appropriate prosthetic limb. The process involved preparing an original mold, followed by attaching the prosthetic leg or arm. A training specialist then guided the patients on how to properly use and wear their new prosthetic limbs. Among the recipients was a 16-year-old girl who received an artificial arm after being injured in an accident. Additionally, three men were fitted with above-the-knee prosthetic limbs. ‎
