Inner Wheel Club D95

5/4/2021 – Based on the invitation of the Inner Wheel club of Cairo West, Mrs. Mona Aref Chairman of District 95 Egypt & Jordan visited the sustainable projects of the club. She was accompanied by members of the executive committee, Mrs. Zeinab Taki Past Chairman, Mrs. Riri Kotb, Mrs. Soha Shams, the honorary secretary, and some of the club’s members.

 

First, the delegation visited Al-Qasr Al-Aini Hospital and the Oncology Center where they were received by Dr.Heba Azam head of the department and Dr. Rasha Kamal. We must underline that IWC of Cairo West fully supports the diagnostic unit of the breast cancer department.

After that, the delegation visited Heliopolis Public Library where they activated the Chairman’s initiative (Knowledge is light and Reading is Life).

Mrs. Mona Aref offered many children books to this cultural edifice and was briefed on the various cultural activities that the library offers to both children and adults, including drawing, writing, computer courses and artistic competitions. The District Chairman praised these unprecedented cultural activities.

 

Then, they visited Dar Al-Hana Orphanage in Mohandessin area, supported for years by IWC of Cairo West. The orphanage lodge more than 80 orphans covering all ages to university education and graduation stages and seeking job opportunities for them. It is more than a nursing home.

One has to emphases that IWC of Cairo West supervise several care associations:

­ Awladi Association in Maadi, and

­ The Right to Life Association for people with special needs.

 

The tour, which began at nine o’clock in the morning, ended with a meeting in New Giza where the rest of the public activities and projects were presented. The meeting gathered many former District Presidents, representatives of nationalities, members of the district boards of directors and IW institutions.

It is worth noting that IWC West participated in this year events and initiatives called by the chief leader, Mona Aref since the beginning of the year including:

­ Lebanon relief project

­ Cancer Hospital project 57357

­ Tahya Misr project

A Peace Tree was planted to bless and encompass all the club’s activities

The District Chairman praised the tremendous implemented efforts despite the Corona pandemic and indicated that she did not expect all these achievements and strong projects.

 

 

19/12/2020 – Inner Wheel Club of Cairo West
Past President of IWC of Cairo west, Soha Shams Owner and Manager of Forsa Bazaar, gave IWC of Cairo West a distinguished booth, where we displayed items given out and donated by our esteemed club members, for sale at reasonable and minimal pricing. All new items and in perfect condition.
This sale revenue, goes fully to our club’s treasury, funding all our service and charitable projects.

Sponsorship of three children annually for 20 years onward.
Fully paid accommodation, care, and educational fees.
Regular visits by Club members for support and checking in on the orphans

Our pioneer member PP Fadia Badr Eddin is our everlasting Ambassador along with several members annually in support of this activity which is so dear to our hearts.

Inner Wheel club of Cairo West organized a one-day bazaar at Gezira Sporting club in Zamalek, Cairo. The proceeds of the bazaar went as a donation to Kasr El-Ainy Hospital/Photography &Radiology (Breast Cancer) Department. A table was given to Gezira Al Kheir organization where the proceeds go to the Gezira Sporting club employees.

Our club has been committed to continuous annual support to this project in various ways.
Many of our members give their time and effort to check regularly on this department of service and all its needs and we try to supply as much as we can to show our appreciation to the doctors’ dedication.
This project started last year, and we are continuing it this year. We had decided that it will become a top priority in our annual projects list undertaken by the club.

Supporting two residents with special needs in a continuous commitment to their welfare.
Our club has supported this activity for many years now.
We also fund the Association itself besides our moral and financial support to these lovable Special Needs residents.
Along the years we had helped in structuring a carpentry workshop as well as tailoring workstation.
We have also built educational classes and furniture sponsorship of the main building itself.
In addition to extra support this year for the Association during the visit of our IW District Chairman in January 2020.

Annual support in monetary donations collected to assist in mega projects of our beloved country Egypt to help with poverty, women in need, medical assistance & equipment, etc.

Our prominent member Past District Chairman Soheir Essawy is the one responsible for this project for numerous years along with a committee from our club.
The Club has maintained its support though the purchasing of needed medical equipment.

PP Mona E Ramly & PP Mona Sobeih are the members in charge of this on-going project along with several others from our esteemed club.
We support the children morally and practically through providing clothing for all the residents of the orphanage several times a year (Eid after-Eid Adha-Winter & Summer seasons). This has been ongoing for more than 20 years now.
Part of our support is to assist on yearly basis as neede in the annual maintenance costs of the buildings and equipment.
