Inner Wheel Club D95

This year president Jida Farradj signed an agreement to become a “support partner” for “Green Weelz” initiative.
The concept of this initiative is to collect plastic caps of water and juice bottles, and give them to “ Green wheelz ”where university student volunteers sort them out, count and weigh them, the initiative in its turn sells these caps to be recycled, the income generated from the sale goes to help the physically challenged educationally and medically.
During the last three months, our club was able to collect a huge number of plastic caps and tins and presented them to Miss Raeda Sabha, the creator of this idea.
We kindly ask our club ladies, to keep on collecting the caps, such an easy thing to do, but the impact on the environment we live in is huge, and the help extended to the physically challenged through this initiative warms the hearts.

12/1/2021 – President Jida Farradj together with ladies of the board celebrated this important occasion with the attendance of Mrs. Nahla Qubain, vice chairman district 95- Egypt & Jordan, and Mrs. Suzan Tayeh, consultant district 95.
We wanted to organize a huge well-planned celebration for this wonderful 50 years occasion, but due to Covid 19 and since gatherings are not allowed we chose to celebrate with “Badwa center for special education” to further help centers in need, the club donated money, two iPad (for learning on line) and some blankets. A beautiful designed 50 years cake was cut making the celebration complete with some children of the center attending.

30/12/2020 – With the end of year approaching, Inner Wheel Club of Amman president Jida Farradj , accompanied by some ladies donated the final batch of winter essentials along with three computers to Caritas society who’s employees will deliver to families they usually help.

22/12/2020 – Amman IW third winter campaign , warm and needed goods were donated to Dar Asalam ( an eldery home) served by the
nuns of Mother Teresa.
Due to COVID-19 pandemic ladies of the committee were not able to visit the residents inside, but were satisfied to deliver the needed help just before the cold weather hits in

8/12/2020 – The second part of IW club of Amman’s winter campaign was the donation of 58 blankets together with hats,
warm scarfs and socks to (Khadijah Bint Khowailed society), who in their turn will distribute to needy families in Sweileh area.
To continue changing peoples lives and lending a hand to the less fortunate is possible through the generosity of the ladies of IW club of Amman and some friends whose donations were appreciated

With winter in, and Christmas coming soon, Inner Wheel club of Amman donated 50 blankets with woolen hats, shawls and warm socks to be delivered to needy families by the (The Orthodox Educational Society).
Thank you, ladies of IW club of Amman, for your thoughtful donations in these difficult times of Corona and bad economic situation.

In support of the “I Learn” initiative, Inner Wheel Club of Amman, represented by its President Mrs. Jaida Farraj, and three members of the club committee, on Saturday October 10, 2020 delivered the first batch of new computers and used computers in a good condition, after some of the club’s member made a cash donation to buy new computers. We are still on the long road to providing education for the less fortunate through the (on-line learning platform) which needs computers and internet lines.
It was a morning full of hope and change, changing the deficit of the less fortunate to pursue education to hope.

Under this year’s Inner Wheel Slogan “Lead the change” and in view of the current conditions and the club’s inability to carry out activities, Mrs. Jida Farradj President of Amman IW Club, Signed on September 29th 2020, a memorandum of cooperation with the non-profit Charity based on Amman (Green Wheelz) initiative , this initiative is concerned with protecting the environment and supporting Children with special needs and spreading awareness.
The idea of this project is very simple and easy to implement,
We informed the ladies of our Club and asked them to collect plastic caps of all sizes (which do not take much space) and offered them to the Green Wheels initiative, and we promised as Amman IW Club to distribute large containers and place them in restaurants , gyms , clubs and places where the consumption of plastic water bottles is high. The recyclable covers are collected, and we, the ladies of the club, collect these covers periodically and deliver them to the initiative, which in turn works on sorting and selling them to competent authorities for recycling. The money collected from the Green Wheels initiative sponsors the education of children with special needs and treatment sessions for needy families, in cooperation with official associations that deal with these children.
A wonderful, easy and sustainable idea from recycling (improving the environment) to helping those most in need.
We invite you, ladies and friends, to contribute and help us in this sustainable pioneering project, and we are ready to reach you to take what you have gathered in the hope that we will begin with simple steps to change the ideas of our society to what is best for our environment, and to help the less fortunate,

IWC of Amman members visited the Golden Age Home / White Beds Association for the Elderly. The club replaced their main door with an electric safe door. The club provided supply and grocery products, and a 55-inch TV screen as part of their support of the Association.

A large monetary donation was presented to the Jordanian Ministry of Health to contribute to the country’s efforts in responding to the Corona virus pandemic that Jordan and the world has been passing through.
