IWC of Amman Philadelphia paid a visit to the “Golden Age Home”

In Celebrating the month of Ramadan, the Inner Wheel club of Amman Philadelphia, presided by Mrs Duha Bushnaq Abdulhadi and a number of the executive committee paid a visit to a retirement home , the “Golden Age Home” on March 25,2023

The Association of the “Golden Age Home” was founded by her excellency Mrs Haifa Al-Bashir in 1971, it is a non- profit association that caters for 120 persons of both men and women.

Mrs. Amneh took the visitors on a tour around the place where they met and chatted with some of residents.

Mrs. Duha thanked the staff for their immense efforts in running this association.

A donation from the club and some private donors of 2 wheelchairs, a TV screen and supplying products were presented to the Vice President and her staff who in their turn thanked the club and its members for such a generous gesture.

‘ Himitna’ the charitable association had the honor of opening the project for rehabilitating and developing.

Under the patronage of his highness Crown Prince Hussein the son of his Majesty king Abdullah the second,‘ Himitna’ the charitable association had the honor of opening the project for rehabilitating and developing the comprehensive princess Basma medical center in Al -Muhajireen area/ Ras al Ein on Thursday 26/1/2023.
The past president of the club of Inner Wheel Amman Philadelphia for the year 2021/2022 Mrs Nazi Faris was invited to the opening of this project where the club donation was for restoring the dental clinic and providing a dental examination device.
This project was one of many projects that were carried out by the administrative committee of last year.
The name of club the was written on the door of the dental clinic and on the list of supporters at the entrance of the center.
His highness Crown Prince and the attendees were impressed by this medical edifice which caters for 22000 persons monthly.
We congratulate Mrs Nazi Kupti Faris and congratulate ourselves, the Innerwheel club of Amman Philadelphia for such an achievement and look forward to more success to our club

IWC of Amman Philadelphia Visited “ My heart” for the Special Needs

The Inner Wheel club of Amman Philadelphia presided by Mrs Duha Abdulhadi visited with a number of the club executive committee on Saturday January 21st, the centre ‘My Heart’ as a part of the club monthly support program for the special need and for the associations that care for those who are less fortunate.

The chairperson of the center gave a brief idea about the center and how it is managed. He explained that the program for helping the children is divided into three categories, THE HEART GIVES, THE HRART HEALS, and THE HEART TEACHES.

The club president presented a laptop  as a donation from Mr Safwan Kakish the chairperson of the Computer company.

The club had also donated sum of money as a tuition premium to one of the students.

Some juices and snacks were served to the children there who are suffering from Down Syndrome.

At the end of the visit there was communication and interaction with the children which gave joy and pleasure to both parties and souvenir photos were taken.

Mrs Duha Abdulhadi along with the club executives thanked the chairperson of the center and his dignified team wishing them all success and continued support. The club had also donated sum of money as a tuition premium to one of the students.

IWC of Amman Philadelphia visited the Center of ‘Peace Lady for the Disabled

Inner Wheel club of Amman Philadelphia, coinciding with the international day of the disabled persons on December the 3rd, paid a visit to the center of ‘Peace Lady for the Disabled’ on December the 7th presided by Mrs. Duha Bushnaq Abdulhadi and a group of her administrative committee.

The director of the center father Dr Shawqi gave an overview of the history of the establishment of the center and the services it gives to autistic children, the children with speech impairment, children with down-syndrome and the replacement of artificial limps manufactured locally by those in charge of this center.

We were then taken on a tour around the different parts of the center where we visited the church ‘ The Good Shepherd’ with its beautiful walls ornament murals, each saying a religious anecdote.

We also visited a small local chocolate factory made with love called ‘ Peace’.

After the tour we joined the children and distributed small presents and some cookies, we enjoyed reaching out to them by playing some music, we took souvenir pictures with them as well as with their dignified staff.

The center serves disabled children from the age of six till sixteen.

At the end of the visit Mrs Duha donated a sum of money and the director in his turn thanked the club president and her committee for this merciful gesture in sharing these happy and blessed times with the children that are less fortunate.

The room of Rehabilation Center at Gaza Refugee Camp Serves 37000 persons

The Inauguration of the Physiotherapy room as a part of the medical center at Ghaza Refugee Camp in Jerah By IWC of Amman Philadelphia

Under the auspices of Mrs. Duha Bushnaq Abdulhadi, the president of IWC of Amman Philadelphia and her administrative committee, the inauguration of the physiotherapy and medical treatment center took place today, November 29, 2022, at Gaza Refugee Camp in Jerash.

A welcoming reception took place by Mrs. Maha Saqqa, the executive director of Palestinian medical aid, and Dr. Zahira Awad the director of the refugee medical centers.

The specialized therapist gave a detailed explanation about each medical device and how to benefit from it.

This physiotherapy room is part of the camp medical center which serves 37 thousand people. The room is equipped with everything that is needed for physiotherapies such as therapeutic mattresses, crutches, muscle strengthening devices, a shoulder wheel, a wall ladder, a standing assistive device, a treadmill, sand weights, infrared rays, swivel chairs for the clinic and a curtain.

Afterward, Mrs. Saqqa presented a thank you medal to IWC of Amman Philadelphia which was received by Mrs. Abdulhad.

The Inner Wheel club of Amman Philadelphia Planted four olive trees in Bishop School Garden

The Inner Wheel club of Amman Philadelphia headed by Mrs. Duha Bushnaq Abdul-Hadi and a number of members of the administrative body and in cooperation with the Green Caravan Program (subsidiary from the Arab Society for the Protection of Nature), which aims to increase the green area and reduce deforestation, planted four olive trees in  bishop’s school garden, which is a sustainable project where a garden was allocated in the name of the Philadelphia Club last year. The club’s delegation was received by Ms. Nancy Shaaban, the school’s activities coordinator.

The idea of ​​planting these trees came in response to the invitation of the chairman of District 95, Mrs. Nora Fayek, where a climate conference was recently held in Sharm El-Sheikh COP 27 which called for the need to reduce carbon emissions, which suggests a defining moment in dealing with climate change

‏ Inner wheel Club of Amman Philadelphia equipping a room for the physiotherapy for Gaza refugee camp.

By God’s grace and care, the first phase of the annual project of the club of IWC of Amman Philadelphia for the year 2022/ 2023 has been completed for Gaza Refugee Camp by handing over the first payment of the project which goes for the setting up and equipping a room for the physiotherapy for Gaza refugee camp.
‏The project will serve all the residents of the camp which reaches up to thirty four thousands persons.
‏Mrs Duha Bushnaq Abdulhadi, the president of Inner wheel Club of Amman Philadelphia along with some members of the administrative committee handed over a cheque, on November 15th, to Mrs Maha Saqqa the executive director of the Palestinian Medical Aid which covers the first phase of the project.
‏Hand in hand our project is completed and with enthusiasm and determination Work wonders

IWC of Philadelphia has completed the medical examination in Al- Talbeih Camp.

On October13, Coinciding with the World Sight Day, Inner Wheel Club of Amman Philadelphia headed by Mrs Duha Bushnaq Abdulhadi and two of the administrative members Mrs Hanan Ghawi and Mrs Widad Al-Far, has completed the last stage of delivery of the eyeglasses to the students of a male and female school in Al-Talbieh camp.

Subsequently and under the auspices of Abdulhadi Hospital, a medical examination of hearing was conducted for those who have hearing problems followed by a general medical examination for those students.

At the end sweets were distributed to the students and some gifts

IWC of Amman Philadelphia visited El Talbiah refugee camp to check the eyesight of Students

September 21,2022

A free Medical day at Al-Talbiah refugee camp.
Inner Wheel Club of  Amman Philadelphia, presided by Mrs Duha Abdulhadi and accompanied by Mrs. Alia Alian and Mrs. Hanan Ghawi and with the cooperation of Abdulhadi Hospital and Dr. Imad Hindash, the director of Sana’ optical center, they all paid a visit to Al-Talbiah refugee camp- the local community rehabilitation center for the disabled- to check the eyesight of almost seventy(70) male and female students who complain of eyesight problems and need urgent eyeglasses to help them in schooling and day to day life.
Dr Imad Hindash, thankfully, donated all the frames while  IWC of Amman Philadelphia will cover the expenses of the lenses.
We send our big thanks to Abdulhadi Hospital and Dr Hindash for their great effort and diligent quest for good deeds.
IWC of  Amman Philadelphia will continue in doing miracles by drawing a smile on the faces of the children and a reassuring mark on the hearts of the mothers.

IWC of Amman Philadelphia distributed school bags at “Al Talbei Refugee Camp “

On August 23rd August,

Inner Wheel  Club of Amman Philadelphia headed by Mrs Duha Abdulhadi and a number of committee members paid a visit to “Al talbieh refugee Camp” and donated 100 school bags,that contained pencil case and coloring book, to the first  and second graders. Twenty of these bags were allocated to the children of special needs. A collection of children stories were dedicated to the school library.

At the end of the visit, the club members distributed sweets and took souvenir photos.

Our happiness lies in doing our duty and our best in bringing joy and happiness to the hearts of all children
