IW Of Alexandria Mediterranean Club – Oncology Centre at Borg El Arab University Hospital, Alexandria University visit

IW Of Alexandria Mediterranean Club.
On Tuesday, February 27, 2024, Alexandria Mediterranean IW Club, led by
Dr. Eman Shafshak and honorary secretary Shadia El-Derini, visited the
Oncology Centre at Borg El Arab University Hospital, Alexandria
University.
Accompanied by the Vice President of the region and the club’s founder,
Dr. Viola Ramsis.
The club made a donation which included 2 Laryngeal scopes for intensive
care procedures and 2 Crush Cars for preparing and administering
chemotherapy, medicines, and supplies. The hospital director, Dr. Shadi
Fadel, expressed the hospital’s urgent need for these devices, with a
total cost of 78,660 EGP.

IW Of Alexandria Mediterranean Club – Nour Al Hayat Oasis Association for children donation – charitable projects

On Saturday, March 9, 2024, Alexandria Mediterranean IW Club, led by Dr. Eman Shafshak and Honorary Secretary Shadia El-Derini, along with Treasurer Soheir El-Fouly, and club members PP. Nelly Mounir and Dr. Nahed El-Wakil, donated cards to charity valued at 300 EGP each, totaling 20,000 EGP. The donation was made in honor of the holy month of Ramadan and distributed to the Nour Al Hayat Oasis Association for children with cerebral palsy and the Alexandria Association for the Care of the Blind. This initiative represents one of the club’s ongoing charitable projects. Gratitude to all club members for their contributions to these endeavors.

Alexandria Mediterranean – Psychiatric Hospital in Maamoura visit – This initiative is part of the club’s environmental preservation projects

On Tuesday, January 23, 2024, Alexandria Mediterranean IW Club, led by Dr. Eman Shafshak and Honorary Secretary Shadia El-Derini, visited the Psychiatric Hospital in Maamoura to install 100 faucet pieces for the hospital’s taps. The event was attended by the General Director of the Alexandria Water Company and the Director of Public Relations at the Beni Suef Water Company. The visit aimed to activate a protocol established the previous week between Innerwheel and the water companies. Dr. Mohamed Zohdy, Director of the Hospital, and Dr. Maha Pasha, Deputy Director of the Hospital, joined the inspection of the faucet installation process, which is expected to save 50% of water usage and promote water conservation. Additionally, the club examined 50 newly planted trees in the hospital gardens, including oranges, tangerines, guavas, and lemons. This initiative is part of the club’s environmental preservation projects.

Alexandria Mediterranean – Egyptian Red Crescent donation

Alexandria Mediterranean

In response to the initiative launched by District 95\Egypt & Jordan, and in cooperation with the Egyptian Red Crescent to relieve our Palestinian brothers, Alexandria IW Mediterranean Club, headed by Dr. Eman Shafshak, and club members, donated 74 blankets to the Egyptian Red Crescent on Wednesday, November 1, 2023. May God help our Palestinian brothers in their ordeal. Our prayers are for them. Long live Egypt.

Alexandria Meditrenean – *Fund raising bazaar for environmental projects*

Working on awareness of cancer, and in supporting sick individuals Mrs. Mona Aboul Fetouh Chairman of District 95/ Egypt & Jordan visited Health & Hope Oasis (HHO) with some members of Nile Innerwheel club on 19th of October 2023.

HHO is a rehabilitation center for children with cancer. It is located in Wadi el Natroun. It offers several programs to support the children during and after their treatment course. They receive cancerous children for few days with their families to teach them how to deal with their disease, self hygiene, and awareness to acquire healthy life. They also give them psychological support and help them engage in their communities. The HHO accommodates for the families. They give them a playground, & enough space for bicycles track. They also have 2 indoor activity centers. All the services of HHO are offered for free.

The Nile club members gave a donation of 40,000 LE.

President & members shared some activities with the children.

Enviromental preservation-16 poiciana royal trees/ Save the Earth

On the occasion of the International Day of Peace in line with the national project for District 95 (Egypt and Jordan) which was dedicated for environmental preservation, The six IW clubs of Alexandria (Alexandria, East, Nozha, Sporting, Mediterranean, and Capital) and the IWC of Damanhur planted 16 ‏Poiciana Royal Trees in Ayadi El Mostakbal Oncology Hospital 4040 and Shatby Children’s Hospital.

Innerwheel Club Alexandria Mediterranian, donated two chairs for treating patients for chemotherapy

Members of Inner wheel Club Alexandria Mediterranian, headed by president Dr. Eman Shafshak , donated two chairs with special specifications for treating patients for chemotherapy at Ayad Al-Mustaqbal 40&40 Hospital. This hospital treats Alexandria patients and neighbouring governorates free of charge.

On Thursday, May 4,2023, the Inner Wheel Club of Alexandria Mediterranean , in cooperation with the Faculty of Science, Alexandria University, celebrated the Orphan’s Day within the framework of promoting social responsibility in the college’s playgrounds.

IWC of Alexandria Mediterranean visited the Fairhaven School for people with disabilities.

On Saturday, May 6,2023 the Inner Wheel Club of Alexandria Mediterranean visited the Fairhaven School for people with disabilities and made a donation to the school.

 

The IW members were received by Dr. Ashraf Latif, the principal of the school.

The school meets the need of the  Students such as carpentry,  weaving workshops, preparation of detergents and disinfectants, handicrafts, sports and educational entertainment classes, and there is an outlet for selling their products.

The school serves more than 150 children.  and was established with donations from individuals as they hosted a delegation from Sweden to teach teachers and parents how to deal with these students.

It serves all segments of society. There is a section for free or half of the fees,and  an internal section for children in need of special care and who  are rejected by their families
