Alexandria Mediterranean IWC .
On Wednesday, March 27, 2024, Alexandria Mediterranean IW Club, led by
Dr. Eman Shafshak and honorary secretary Shadia El-Derini, distributed
Eid clothes and shoes to 175 visually impaired children associated with
the Alexandria Association for the Blind. Each child’s allocation cost
500 EGP, totaling 87,500 EGP in kind donations. Gratitude to the
generous donor for supporting this initiative.

IW Of Alexandria Mediterranean Club.

Alexandria Mediterranean IW Club, led by Dr. Eman Shafshak and honorary
secretary Shadia El-Derini, provided 4 earphones to 2 students, each
receiving 2 earphones for their severe hearing impairment. This donation
aims to improve the students’ academic performance—one in primary and
the other in secondary school. The earphones were handed over on March
31, at Amplifon Middle East in Sidi Gaber, supervised by specialists.
The project cost totaled 43,900 EGP and is part of the club’s
initiatives for the year’s theme “Shine a Light,” as advocated by
District 95 Egypt and Jordan.

Alexandria Mediterranean @ Cleopatra IW Clubs
In a loving and affectionate atmosphere, Alexandria Mediterranean Club
and Alexandria Cleopatra Club, along with Dr. Viola Ramsis, the Vice
President of District 95 came together on April 1, 2024, at the Sporting
Club in Alexandria to commemorate the holy month of Ramadan. The
gathering was filled with a sense of unity and warmth amongst the

Dr. Eman Shafshak and honorary secretary Shadia El-Derini led a workshop
at the Innerwheel Alexandria Mediterranean Club, training five women on
repurposing plastic bottle caps for crafting frames, medals, hair ties,
and innovative designs. This project is considered one of the
environmental projects. This eco-friendly initiative empowers women to
showcase their creations in exhibitions and bazaars, boosting their
income. Today, on Sunday, March 24, 2024, the training took place at the
Vermillion Atelier, overseen by female trainers Dr. Jihan Qenawy and Dr.
Manal Eliwa.

IW Of Alexandria Mediterranean Club .

On Wednesday, March 6, Alexandria Mediterranean IW Club, led by Dr. Eman
Shafshak along with honorary secxretary Shadia El-Derini, treasurer
Soheir El-Fouly, and club member Dr. Nahed El-Wakil, visited the “Nile
of Hope Hospital”.
They were received by Dr. Muhammad Abdel Malek the hospital director &
paediatric surgery consultant Dr. Mustafa Rashed. The hospital provides
free surgeries for children and treatments for birth defects to the
people of Alexandria and neighboring areas free of charge.
The club donated medical equipment worth a total of 63 thousand pounds,
including a solution syringe device and a brain bag valve device. The
hospital, relying solely on charitable donations, boasts modern
equipment and top-notch facilities. It offers outpatient clinics,
operating rooms, intensive care units, radiology services, labs,
sterilization rooms, laundry services, and comfortable
accommodation—all at no cost, making it a commendable medical
institution.

IW Of Alexandria Mediterranean Club.

Dr. Eman Shafshak and honorary secretary Shadia El-Derini organized a charity concert on Valentine’s Day through the Innerwheel Alexandria Mediterranean Club to support the Borg El Arab Children’s Cancer Hospital. Various notable individuals attended the event, including Mrs. Mona Abu Al-Futouh, Dr. Viola Ramsis, Mrs. Omnia Hanna, Mrs. Reem Nazia, Mrs. Ghada Rahmi, Mrs. Mona Aref, Mrs. Maha Sorour, Mrs. Mai Ali, Mrs. Nevin Abdel Rasoul, Mrs. Sohair Fahmy, Mrs. Amal Ezzat, Mrs. Ghada Karaweya, and many more from different Innerwheel clubs. The ceremony also included the awarding of Innerwheel badges to honorary members Mrs. Hoda Sorour and Mrs. Lucy Ramsis, and the induction of new members Mrs. Mimi Francis, Mrs. Silvana Croce, and Mrs. Hala Grace from the Innerwheel Cleopatra Club. The concert featured performances by Wael Kamal, Peter and Sarah, and DJ Mohamed Fouad on February 10, 2024, at the Royal Hall in Alexandria. Additionally, a charity bazaar, a tumbla, and the distribution of valuable gifts took place during the event.

IW Of Alexandria Mediterranean Club.

Alexandria Mediterranean IW Club, headed by Dr. Eman Shafshak and honorary secretary Shadia El-Derini, participated in the 40&40 celebration for children with cancer at “Future Hands Hospital” alongside with the “Friends of Cancer Patients Association.”

Their aim was to bring happiness to the children. Sweets & gifts were distributed to the kids.

The club members extend their gratitude to all those who helped making this event a success. Wishing the children a swift recovery.

On Tuesday, December 19, 2023, the Alexandria Mediterranean IW club led by president Dr. Eman Shafshak, Secretary Shadia El-Derini, Treasurer Sohair El-Fouly, organized a charity party to celebrate Christmas. The event was graced by the presence of esteemed guests, including

D95 chairman Mrs. Mona Abu Al-Futouh, DV Dr. Viola Ramsis, Mrs. Nelly Helmy, Mrs. Samia Hatata, Mrs. Mona Aref, Mrs. Hala Hagras, Mrs. Ghada Rahmi, D Editor, Mrs. Afaf Ismail, Mrs. Sohair Fahmy, President of Capital Club & Dr. Nevine Abdulrasoul president of Cleopatra Club.

During the event, Mrs. Mona Abu Al-Futouh officially inaugurated the new Cleopatra Club. The Mediterranean Club honored Mrs. Mona Abu Al-Futouh for her contributions and projects in the region, as well as her continuous support for the clubs.

Mrs. Samia Hatata was also recognized for receiving the Margrette Golding Award, and Dr. Viola Ramsis was honored as the founder of the two new IW clubs Alexandria Capital & Alexandria Cleopatra.

The ceremony included a special performance by the singer Wael Kamal and DJ Mohamed Fouad.

In addition to the ceremony, the club organized a charity bazaar, with all proceeds dedicated to the club’s charitable projects. Special thanks were extended to club member Soha Al-Abd for her stunning decorations, and Mr. Mohamed Hisham Al-Abd for providing delicious food and fulfilling all requests. The club also expressed gratitude to Mr. Hisham Al-Abd, the owner of the Royal Hall, for flawlessly organizing the party. The presence of all attendees was highly appreciated and brought light to the event.

On December 12/2023 &
in the presence of the founder of Alexandria Mediterranean IWC Mrs.
Viola Ramsis & the president Dr. Eman Shafshak, & board members made a
donation to the Maamoura Psychiatric Hospital. They gave 50 fruit trees,
including citrus fruits, oranges, tangerines, lemons, and guavas, to be
planted for the benefit of the patients.
The club also donated five benches made of wood and iron for the
patients use & comfort to avoid sitting on the ground, thus protecting
them from the sun & rain. Thanks for the club members for their
contributions to this project. Dr. Mohamed Zohdy , Director of the
Hospital, was admired for his interest and good reception of club
members.
It is worth noting that this hospital treats patients free of charge and
has 950 beds.

Alexandria Mediterranean Club.

December 17th.

On December 13th & 14th,2023 Alexandria Mediterranean IW club, headed by Dr. Eman Shafshak, with secretary Shadia El-Derini and treasurer Soheir El-Fouly, participated in an exhibition of clothing for university students at the Alexandria Faculty of Medicine—

“The Community and Environment Service Sector”, is located within the Faculty of Medicine.

The exhibition also serves the faculty’s employees.
