Joint art competition Violence against women

On Monday, November 25, 2024, the International Day for the Elimination
of Violence against Women. IWC of Alexandria Capital, headed by Dr.
Nevine Abdel Rassoul participated in art completion activities with the
anti-Violence against Women Unit headed by Prof. Dr. Manal Fouda, in
partnership with the Women and Girls Committee in Rotary District 2451
Egypt and many Rotary Clubs in Egypt. It was attended by Vice President
Prof. Dr. Suzan Darwish, and club members Mrs. Iman Karkoura, Mrs. Amel
Elessawy, and Dr. Ola Saleh.
The students were participating in the competition, under the name of
anti-violence, which included:

6- Music Composition
7- Individual Acting
8- Playwriting
9- Short films
10- Short story
11- Photography
12- Theatrical performances

cooperation with the African Center for Women’s Health Services in
Alexandria, headed by Dr. Mervat El-Sayed and Dr. Sherine Farag

An awareness lecture on

„ Early detection of BREAST CANCER & CERVICAL CANCER „

presented by Prof. Dr. Neamat Hegazy
Professor of Oncology and Nuclear Medicine, Consultant of Oncology and
Radiotherapy, and Fellow of the University of Vienna – Austria for
Radiotherapy

The lecture included useful and important information on prevention and
detection methods, as well as various treatments, vaccinations and tests
that must be followed for prevention.

– Tuition fees for underprivileged students(Education support project)

On Monday, October 14th, 2024, after three weeks of working , the
payment of government school fees for underprivileged students was
completed for 101 students from many schools in Alexandria (Abbas
Elakkad, Elnozhah, Elnabaweya, Cleopatrah, Heliopolis, Erfan,
Elalamein,..and others)
Work is underway to pay the fees of final year students at Alexandria
universities

Tourism Day and Peace day

International Tourism Day/Peace Day.

On Saturday, 28th September 2024, under the theme “Heartbeat of
Humanity”, The IW Clubs of Alexandria (Alexandria, East, El Nozha,
Sporting, Mediterranean and Capital) in collaboration with the “Ministry
of Tourism” and the “Yacht Club of Egypt”, celebrated the International
Day of Peace & Day of Tourism at the Yacht Club of Egypt. This reflects
on the profound connection between tourism and peace.

The celebration started by planting an olive tree “Wish Tree” and
included a mural for peace and tourism painted by Kemet Institution’s
youth and art exhibition by “Sohbet Fann” group. The art exhibition for
peace provided children and youth with a temporary escape from
destructive conflict and simultaneously provides them with an outlet for
their emotions, opinions, and hopes for the future.

The celebration also included Indian folklore dance by “Mawlana” centre,
Egyptian Pharaonic dance by “Tafanin Academy” and a bazaar for
traditional pharaonic, Indian and Russian handicrafts.

Finally, a seminar for peace and tourism was held where the following
topics were covered “Peace building” and “The role of art in promoting
tourism and peace.” The speakers in this seminar included: Prof. Mervat
El Azzouni – Vice Chairman of District 95, Mrs. Mona El Hakim –
President of Peace Committee Rotary Egypt/President of IWC Alexandria,
Mr. Mario De Pascoaly – Honorary Consul of Italy, Mr. Arsini M. –
Director of the Russian Cultural House & Deputy Consul General of
Russia, Ms. Farrah El Dibany, super soprano, and Eng. Hassan Wasfy –
Syndicate of Fine Arts.

The celebration was attended by Dr. Amel El Ghitany- District 95
Webmaster, the IWC’s of Alexandria Presidents, Mrs. Magda Sallam (IWC
Alex East), Mrs. Heba el Kady (IWC Alex ElNozha), Mrs. Amany Selim (IWC
Alex Sporting), Mrs. Heba Aboul Nasr (IWC Alex Mediterranean), Mrs.
Nevine Abd El Rasoul (IWC Alex Capital), Mrs. Soheir Fahmy (IWC Alex
Cleopatra) and Mrs. Zahra EL Lakany (IWC Damanhour).

Ewais, visited” Bab Al Ahrar” elementary school in Abis and donated 120
school bags. As well as four blackboards for the classrooms.

International Literacy Day project IW Alexandria Capital Club

On Saturday, 8, 2024, coinciding with International Literacy Day and our
IW theme “Heartbeat of Humanity” and one of its goals, Nurturing
Orphans ,
Inner Wheel Club of Alexandria Capital ,District 95, headed by Dr.
Nevine Abdel Rassoul organized and supervised the official literacy exam
for the orphans of “Social Welfare Home for Boys” in the Arabic
language and Mathematics under the inspection of
the Egyptian Ministry of Education officials .

IW Of Alexandria Capital Club – Iftar for the children of “The Social Welfare Home for Boys”

IW Of Alexandria Capital Club.
On Tuesday, March 26, 2024, IWC of Alexandria Capital, led by Dr. Nevine
Abdel Rassoul and Secretary Dr. Ola Owais, hosted a special Iftar for
the children of “The Social Welfare Home for Boys” in Ezbet El Matar
during the blessed month of Ramadan. Alongside Mr. Ayman, the house’s
head, supervisors, and Dr. Heba Salamah from the Volunteer Life
Foundation, & our club members shared the Iftar with the children. The
boys received new clothes including pants, a T-shirt, two underwear, two
socks, and Crocs sandals. Additionally, we celebrated the birthdays of
our colleagues Ghada El Mosslemani and Iman Karkoura. Happy Birthday!

IW Of Alexandria Capital Club – providing full water and sanitation connections to two homes in the Beni Suef project

IW Of Alexandria Capital Club.
On Thursday, March 21, 2024, under the slogan”Shine a Light,” the IWC of
Alexandria Capital, led by Dr. Nevine Abdel Rassoul and Honorary
Secretary Dr. Ola Eweis, contributed 12,000 EGP towards providing full
water and sanitation connections to two homes in the Beni Suef project.
This generous donation raised the total contribution to 23,000 EGP for
the project. May our efforts be accepted, and Ramadan Kareem to all.

Al Tahrir IWC – providing clean water to villages in Upper Egypt

On December 23/2023 Al Tahrir IWC joined forces with fellow Inner Wheel
clubs to partake in a seminar focused on providing clean water to
villages in Upper Egypt. This initiative was conducted in collaboration
with the “Al Orman Association.” Subsequently, a cheque dated January 8,
2024, totaling sixty-one thousand Egyptian Pounds (LE 61,000), was
presented for this noble cause.

distributed 80 fasting breakfast meals to the social welfare home for
boys under the theme “Shine a Light.” May our good deeds be accepted by
