Eid al-Adha Initiative: Supporting Families with Special Needs in
Alexandria
Beneficiaries 45families
Cost 50,000EGP
On Sunday, June 1, 2025 (5th of Dhu al-Hijjah), under the theme
“Heartbeat of Humanity,” the Inner Wheel Club of Alexandria Capital,
led by President Prof. Dr. Suzan Darwish and Honorary Secretary Dr. Ola
Ewais, organized a charitable initiative to support 45 families of girls
with special needs affiliated with the Social Intellectual and
Vocational Rehabilitation Foundation for Girls in El-Seyouf.
The club members donated two sheep, distributing the meat among the
families, along with 50 kilograms of rice. New Eid clothes were also
provided to the girls, bringing joy and a sense of inclusion during the
festive season.
In addition to these provisions, the foundation received 24 coverlets
for its internal department and personal care items such as shampoo,
shower gel, deodorant, sanitary pads, and diapers. These contributions
aimed to enhance the daily living conditions of the girls and support
the foundation’s ongoing efforts.
During the visit, the club members inspected the foundation’s garden
alongside a specialized gardener. They observed the fruiting of various
vegetables like tomatoes, zucchini, eggplant, and molokhia, as well as
fruits including bananas, mangoes, guavas, figs, peaches, and lemons.
This inspection highlighted the foundation’s commitment to providing a
nurturing environment for the girls.
The initiative, benefiting 45 families, was executed with a total cost
of 50,000 Egyptian pounds. It reflects the Inner Wheel Club of
Alexandria Capital’s dedication to community service and its commitment
to supporting those in need, especially during significant occasions
like Eid al-Adha.
