Spreading Joy on Eid Al-Adha

Under the patronage of Mrs. Abeer Dajani, Chairman of District 95 Egypt
& Jordan, and in celebration of the upcoming Eid Al-Adha, the members of
the Inner Wheel Club of Damanhour organized a heartfelt initiative.

In a spirit of compassion and generosity, thoughtful gift packs were
prepared containing greeting cards, sweets, and monetary support. These
were distributed to a number of underprivileged families as a humble
contribution to help meet their needs and bring joy to their hearts and
to their children during these blessed days.

May Allah accept all our good deeds. Wishing everyone a joyful and
blessed Eid.

Spreading Joy and Kindness: Bringing Happiness to Orphans in Alexandria

Under the patronage of Mrs. Abeer Dajani, Chairman of District 95 Egypt
& Jordan, and in alignment with the theme “The Heartbeat of
Humanity”, the Inner Wheel Club of Damanhour organized a heartwarming
visit to Al-Urwah Al-Wuthqa Charity Association in Alexandria.

Coinciding with the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah and the approach of
Eid Al-Adha, the members distributed 30 meals to orphaned children at
the association. This was followed by a joyful celebration with children
from the Development Department families, where meals, sweets, and
fruits were shared, bringing happiness and warmth to their hearts.

The event was filled with compassion, love, and a spirit of unity
between the club members and the children, leaving lasting smiles and
joyful memories. The club extended its heartfelt wishes for a blessed
and happy Eid to all.

Annual Interclubs Meeting of the Inner Wheel Clubs of Alexandria and Damanhour

The official annual meeting to review the 2024–2025 projects of the Inner Wheel Clubs of Alexandria and Damanhour was held on Monday, 14th April 2025, at the prestigious Palestine Hotel in the enchanting city of Alexandria, “the Bride of the Mediterranean Sea”, with the esteemed presence of distinguished leaders and valued club members.
The gathering commenced with the ceremonial playing of the national anthems of the Arab Republic of Egypt and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, creating a festive and heartfelt atmosphere that reflected a spirit of unity and belonging.
Following this, Dr. Mervat El Azzouny, Vice Chairman of the District, graciously delivered the opening address, warmly welcoming the honorable attendees, most notably Mrs. Samia Aboul Fotouh, National Representative, Mrs. Abeer Dajani, District Chairman, and the distinguished members of the participating clubs.
Dr. El Azzouny then introduced the presidents of the clubs according to the founding dates of their respective clubs, elegantly highlighting the history and continuous contributions of each club to its community.
She subsequently invited Mrs. Samia Aboul Fotouh, the National Representative, to address the gathering. In her speech, Mrs. Aboul Fotouh expressed her deep appreciation for the tireless efforts of the clubs, praising their remarkable humanitarian and community initiatives and their honorable representation of the District both nationally and internationally.
Next, Mrs. Abeer Dajani, District Chairman, addressed the audience, extending her sincere gratitude to her esteemed District Board and expressing her pride in the purposeful projects and impactful initiatives accomplished by the clubs. She emphasized that these achievements reflect the power of collective action and the noble values of solidarity and service.
In a gracious gesture of appreciation, a symbolic gift was presented to Mrs. Abeer Dajani in recognition of her dedicated efforts and continuous commitment throughout the year. Additionally, she generously offered financial support to each club to assist them in advancing their charitable and community initiatives, thereby contributing to the sustainability of their noble mission.
The day’s proceedings concluded in an atmosphere filled with joy and camaraderie, as the attendees enjoyed a delightful luncheon accompanied by soft musical tunes, while capturing memorable photographs to commemorate this distinguished occasion.
This meeting stands as a true embodiment of the values of collaboration and solidarity among the clubs of District 95, reaffirming the leadership’s commitment to nurturing and advancing club activities in pursuit of their noble humanitarian and social objectives. District 95 will remain a beacon of purposeful work and enduring generosity.

“Beauty and Hope”: A Special Evening Celebrating Inclusion and Creativity

On Thursday, January 23, 2025, Inner Wheel Club of Damanhour, in
collaboration with the Honorary Italian Consulate in Alexandria M.s
Mario De Parquale and the “Donetna” Association for the Blind, hosted an
inspiring evening titled “Beauty and Hope.” The event brought together
key figures and supporters, including Dr. Mervat El-Azouni, Vice
Chairman of District 95 Egypt and Jordan, and Dr. Amel El-Ghaitany,  D95
Webmaster , to celebrate the talents and resilience of the visually
impaired community.

Highlights of the Evening

Welcome Address by Italian Consul Mario De Pasquale

The consul warmly welcomed attendees and expressed his commitment to
supporting the visually impaired.

He emphasized the importance of accessibility in all areas of life,
advocating for inclusive initiatives.

Speech by Dr. Amel El-Ghitany

As a consultant in neurology and psychiatry, Dr. El-Ghitany discussed
the mental health needs of people with disabilities.

She focused on empowering them to achieve independence and integrate
fully into society.

Presentation by Mr s. Hanan Hashish

Chairperson of the “Donetna” Association for the Blind, Ms. Hashish
shared the association’s mission and impact.

She highlighted their training programs, which equip members with skills
to lead fulfilling and independent lives.

Artistic Performance

The association’s music team delivered an emotional and uplifting
performance under the guidance of their trainer, Ms. Noha Alaa El-Din.

The evening concluded with a tour of an exhibition featuring exquisite
handmade products crafted by visually impaired artisans. Guests
expressed admiration for the precision and vibrant beauty of the pieces,
showcasing the remarkable creativity and talent of the contributors.

Health Care Services for Elderly

Health Care Services for Elderly

On Sunday, December 22, 2024, Inner wheel Club of Damanhour delivered
several adult diaper packs, essential for cancer patients in intensive
care, as well as two wheelchairs to assist with their mobility within
the Damanhour Oncology Institute. These items aim to ease patient
transitions between examination rooms and radiation or chemotherapy
sessions.

This initiative was made possible through the contributions of
Innerwheel Damanhour Club members and anonymous donors who preferred to
remain unnamed.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to this noble humanitarian effort.
May God protect us all from illnesses and bless you with health and
wellness.

On Thursday 19, December
 IWC of Damanhour participated in a special event marking the
International Day of Human Solidarity, held at the Royal Jewelry Museum
in Alexandria. The event included meaningful activities aimed at
supporting and empowering individuals with visual impairments,
featuring:
1. A seminar on various types of disabilities: Presented by Dr. Mohamed
El-Desouky, an expert in teaching methods for individuals with visual
impairments, highlighting strategies for addressing the challenges faced
by this group.
2. Recognition and financial support: Certificates of appreciation and
shields were awarded, along with a financial donation to purchase
stencil paper for 30 visually impaired children. Meals were also
distributed to visually impaired girls.
3. A seminar on teaching and training strategies: Delivered by Dr. Amira
Zaytoun, a lecturer in curricula and teaching methods at the Faculty of
Specific Education, Alexandria University, and a member of the
International Board of Certified Trainers. The seminar included an
interactive workshop with Inner Wheel members.

4. A guided tour of the museum: A group of visually impaired children
participated in a guided tour of the Royal Jewelry Palace, where they
explored the displayed artifacts through simplified explanations and
read descriptions of some models in Braille.Inner Wheel members
accompanied the girls during the tour, engaged in conversations, and
fostered a sense of interaction and solidarity.

The event was graced attended by Dr. Mervat El-Ezzouni, D95 Chairman and
Dr. Amel El-Ghitany El-Ghaitan D95 Webmaster.The initiative reflected a
strong spirit of community solidarity and emphasized the importance of
supporting and integrating individuals with visual impairments into
society.

Membership Growth and Constitution Awareness

On Saturday, November 9, District 95 Egypt and Jordan held a seminar
that included the IWCs of Alexandria and Damanhour to celebrate the
addition of 10 new members. The first workshop of the year was held to
introduce the new members to the Inner Wheel Constitution. It was
delivered by Dr. Awatif El-Nasharty, the Chairman Extension. The new
amendments to the constitution were explained to all members as well.
The workshop was held in the presence of the National Representative,
Mrs. Samia Abul Fotouh, Dr. Mervat El-Azouni, the vice chairman, Mrs.
Ghada Rahmy, the Editor, and Dr. Amel El Ghitany, the webmaster. The
heads of the Inner Wheel clubs in Alexandria and Damanhour and around 70
members from the various clubs of the district were also in attendance.
Many points were discussed, members’ questions were answered, the new
members were awarded the Inner Wheel badge, and commemorative photos
were taken.

Cultural Visit celebrating world Cities day

Cultural Visit celebrating world Cities day.
Support Children with Special needs.

On the Occasion of the World Cities Day and in line with the celebration
the selection of Alexandria, Egypt, as the City of Cities by UNESCO on
October 31 the first anniversary of the opening of the Greco-Roman
Museum, , Inner Wheel Club of Damanhour participated with the museum in
some celebrations, including a workshop for some children with special
needs and attending lectures by archaeologists.

Enviromental preservation-16 poiciana royal trees/ Save the Earth

On the occasion of the International Day of Peace in line with the national project for District 95 (Egypt and Jordan) which was dedicated for environmental preservation, The six IW clubs of Alexandria (Alexandria, East, Nozha, Sporting, Mediterranean, and Capital) and the IWC of Damanhur planted 16 ‏Poiciana Royal Trees in Ayadi El Mostakbal Oncology Hospital 4040 and Shatby Children’s Hospital.
