The Holy Land Through History – A Joint Book Club Seminar by Inner
Wheel Nasr City & New Cairo
An Evening of Culture, Heritage, and Leadership
On Tuesday, September 23rd, under the inspiring theme “Step Up and
Lead by Example,” the Inner Wheel Club of Nasr City, led by Mrs. Mona
El-Saeed, and the Inner Wheel Club of New Cairo, led by Mrs. Rania
El-Kashef, jointly hosted the first seminar of the newly launched Book
Club, chaired by Mrs. Nehal El-Bakry.
The session featured distinguished guest Dr. Osama Abdel Raouf
El-Shazly, who gave a captivating and well-researched presentation on
the historical and religious significance of the Holy Land.
Through a visual and narrative journey, Dr. El-Shazly explored:
The geographical location of the Holy Land,
Its central role in the Abrahamic faiths as referenced in the Holy
Scriptures,
The nature and diversity of its inhabitants throughout the ages,
And the countless civilizations, conquests, wars, and conflicts it has
witnessed.
Despite the turbulence of history, the Holy Land has endured as a deeply
spiritual and religious center — a place of profound connection for
millions across time.
The event was attended and honored by prominent Inner Wheel figures:
Mrs. Hanaa El-Sadat, Chairman of District 95 Egypt & Jordan,
Mrs. Dalia Nour, Honorary District Secretary,
Mrs. Awatif El-Nasharty ChairmanExtension,
Past District Chairmen Mrs. Hala Hagrass and Mrs. Mona Aboul Fotouh,
Mrs. Siham El-Gohary, founder of the Nasr City Club and former National
Representative,
Along with several Rotary and Inner Wheel Club presidents and members.
As a token of goodwill and celebration of the Inner Wheel New Year, a
small commemorative gift was offered to attendees by the New Cairo Club.
The seminar concluded with beautiful photographs with Dr. El-Shazly and
a special entry in the club’s guestbook, marking a memorable evening of
knowledge, fellowship, and inspiration.
