Holy Month Iftar & Mother’s Day Celebration

In celebration of the holy month of Ramadan and its coincidence with
Mother’s Day, the Inner Wheel Club of Amman, led by Mrs. Fadia Yared
hosted an Iftar at Romero Restaurant on Tuesday, March 11, 2025. The
event was attended by Mrs. Abeer Dajani, Chairman of District 95 (Egypt
& Jordan), Mrs. Lina Husseini, President of the Inner Wheel Club of
Petra, along with numerous club members and esteemed guests.

In her welcoming speech, Mrs. Fadia Yared expressed her delight at this
special gathering, which combines the noble values of Ramadan with the
profound meaning of motherhood, stating:
“Today, we unite in the spirit of gratitude, reflection, love, and
giving, offering our support, solidarity, and prayers to those facing
difficult circumstances. During this blessed month, the power of
motherhood shines as a source of inspiration to overcome challenges and
work together for a world of peace, understanding, and compassion.”

The celebration was truly exceptional in every detail, with elegant
decorations capturing the spirit of the holy month. The beautifully
arranged Iftar table featured a variety of delicious dishes, enhancing
the Ramadan experience. The musical performance by singer Ashraf Makawi
added a warm touch, enriching the family-friendly ambience of the
evening. The harmony and togetherness that prevailed throughout the
event perfectly aligned with this year’s Inner Wheel theme: “Heartbeat
of Humanity.”

A Heartwarming Visit to Dar Al-Habayeb Elderly Home.

On Saturday, February 22nd, the Inner Wheel Club of New Cairo, led by
Ms. Lina Shaker joined forces with the talented ACT Theatre Group to
bring joy and warmth to the residents of Dar Al-Habayeb Elderly Home in
Maadi.This collaboration aimed to create cherished memories through the
magic of theatre.

The ACT Theatre Group, a passionate ensemble of artists, is dedicated to
igniting creativity and fostering connections within the community. They
believe in the power of storytelling to spark conversations and inspire
audiences of all ages.

The event was a vibrant celebration of laughter and music, featuring two
captivating performances. The first was a hilarious comedy inspired by
the timeless tales of Juha, followed by a delightful musical show in the
garden that filled the air with melody and cheer.

The performances deeply moved the residents, bringing smiles to their
faces and warmth to their hearts. It was truly a day filled with joy,
laughter, and a beautiful reminder of the power of human connection.

Collaborative workshop on Sustainability and Heritage

“Collaborative workshop  on Sustainability and Heritage.

Under the theme”Heartbeat of Humanity,”on Monday, February 24, 2025
The IWC of Alexandria and Rotary Club of Alexandria, in cooperation with
the Italian Consulate and in the attendance of the Italian Consul in
Alexandria, the Alexandria National Museum, and the Friends of the
Bibliotheca Alexandrina Association, organized a workshop entitled
“Sustainability and Heritage” to preserve the environment for students
of the Italian School in Alexandria.

The most important objectives of this workshop were:

* Raising awareness of the importance of preserving the environment.

* ⁠Promoting positive environmental behaviors.

* ⁠Providing practical solutions to environmental problems.

* ⁠Encouraging community participation in protecting the environment.

The workshop also included lectures given by experts from the Ministry
of Environment in Alexandria and interactive workshops to learn
environmental conservation skills.

The students hung Promise to the Environment on the tree, which is the
lesson learned from the workshop.

They also toured the National Museum to learn about antiquities and
natural history.

Charity Clothing Bazaar for Alexandria University Students

On Wednesday, February 13, the Inner Wheel Club of Sporting, led by
President Amani Sleem and Honorary Secretary Hala El Ghitany, along with
several club members, hosted the second charity clothing bazaar for
Alexandria University students.

More than 1,500 students attended the event, where they had the
opportunity to choose from a wide selection of bags, shoes, and
clothing—entirely free of charge.

Sports & its Impact on Human Health

Health Care Awareness
Sports & its Impact on Human Health.

Under the theme “Heartbeat of Humanity” Inner Wheel Club of Amman
presided by Ms Fadia Yared, held a lecture at the Orthodox Club on
Tuesday 12 February 2025 conducted by Dr. Wala Al-Asoud – who holds a
Doctorate in Philosophy of Physical Education. The lecture entitled
“Sports using chair exercises and their impact on the health and
quality of life for Women”. Club members and esteemed guests attended
the lecture.

Attending the recent chair yoga was enlightening and enjoyable
experience for all who participated. The session led by an experienced
instructor introduced attendees to the benefits of chair yoga – an
accessible form of yoga that promoted flexibility, strength, and
relaxation while using a chair of support.
The atmosphere in the hall was warm and welcoming especially all eagerly
practiced the Chair Yoga. Many expressed appreciation for how the
exercises were easy to follow and yet made a noticeable difference in
their comfort and relaxation.
In recognitions of Dr Wala efforts, President of IWC of Amman presented
a certificate of appreciation for her valuable and enriching lecture in
the field of sports, which had a significant impact on enhancing
knowledge and inspiration. Another certificate of appreciation was
presented to Ms Sana Fatayirjy.
Overall, the lecture was both educational and uplifting. Attendees left
feeling refreshed, inspired, and excited to continue their chair
Exercise journey. Everyone enjoyed breakfast and departed with joy.

Cultural Seminar

Cultural Seminar

On Saturday, February 8, 2025, the fourth book club meeting of the
2024-2025 program took place, centered around the theme “A Heart
Beating with Humanity.” This enriching cultural event was organized by
the Inner Wheel Club of New Cairo, under the leadership of Lina Shaker,
in collaboration with the Inner Wheel Club of Nasr City. Jihan Al-Gumai,
honorary secretary, attended on behalf of President Gihan Michel,
joining a distinguished literary discussion hosted by Ahmed
Al-Qarmalawi, a renowned writer and publishing director of Al-Diwan
House, a publishing house famous for its graphic novel adaptations of
Naguib Mahfouz’s works.

The focal point of the meeting was Children of Our Alley, the Nobel
Prize-winning novel by the legendary Naguib Mahfouz. This masterpiece,
rich in symbolism, plot development, and imagery, explores the eternal
struggle between good and evil through a deeply layered narrative.
Mahfouz’s unique ability to simplify complex themes allows readers to
engage in deep analysis and personal reflection, using an Egyptian
neighborhood as a microcosm for broader philosophical and societal
discussions.

The event was attended by esteemed members of District 95’s Board of
Directors, including Hanaa Sadat, Mervat Al-Azouni, deputy chairwoman of
District 95, Omnia Hanna, honorary secretary of District 95, as well as
Mona Abu Al-Futouh, Hala Hagras, and Noura Fayek, all former District 95
presidents. A special acknowledgment was given to Siham El-Gohary, a
past member of the International Inner Wheel Board of Directors, as she
was formally congratulated on her new role as president of the Board of
Directors of the Heliopolis Library. In recognition of this achievement,
she was presented with a commemorative gift.

The event also welcomed Dina Nashed, assistant governor of Rotary, Hilmi
Al-Saeed, past president of Rotary Nasr City Club, as well as members
from various Rotary clubs, book club members, and their guests.

Before concluding the meeting, Ahmed Al-Qarmalawi delighted attendees
with a beautiful oud performance, showcasing his musical talent as a
heartfelt gift. To commemorate the gathering, Nihal ElBakry, founder of
the Book Club and past deputy national representative, presented a
symbolic gift to the writer and distributed gifts to attendees in
celebration of the upcoming holy month of Ramadan.

This event was a testament to the Inner Wheel Club of New Cairo and the
Inner Wheel Club of Nasr City’s shared commitment to fostering
cultural enrichment, intellectual dialogue, and community engagement.

Exploring the Unknown:
Paranormal Science Symposium.

On Sunday, February 16, 2025, under the theme “Heartbeat of Humanity,”
Inner Wheel Club of Sphinx, led by Mrs. Enas Megahed, hosted Dr. Mahmoud
Salah El-Din, a researcher in paranormal sciences, for a symposium on
The New World.

Dr. Salah El-Din explored mysterious and unexplained phenomena, the
post-2019 world, and the effects of COVID-19 vaccines. He also delved
into aspects of ancient civilizations.

The event was attended by a large gathering of club members, guests, and
representatives from other Inner Wheel clubs. Among the distinguished
attendees were Ms. Ghada Rahmy, the D95 editor, and Ms. Abeer Ezzat, a
club member and D95   International Organizer

Following the symposium, attendees celebrated the birthdays of members
born in February over dinner. The evening was filled with warmth,
camaraderie, and engaging discussions, leaving everyone with a memorable
experience.

Under the theme Heartbeat of Humanity, Inner Wheel Club of Amman
Philadelphia, led by Mrs. Maha Shaaban organized a special gathering on
Monday, February 17, 2025. The event featured a delightful breakfast at
Daimeh Restaurant, where the club hosted Mrs. Lara Ayoub for a
discussion session titled “My Health and Well-being First.”

The meeting was attended by Mrs. Abeer Dajani, District 95 Chairman
(Egypt & Jordan), Mrs. Fadia Yard, President of Inner Wheel Amman, as
well as club members and their esteemed guests.

The session included an engaging discussion where all attendees
participated actively. Mrs. Lara Ayoub concluded her talk by sharing
ways to stay in touch for further follow-up. One key takeaway from the
session was the importance of organizing our thoughts before taking
action to effectively achieve our goals.

At the end of the event, Mrs. Maha Shaaban, on behalf of the club,
presented a symbolic gift to Mrs. Lara Ayoub as a token of appreciation.

The gathering was filled with a spirit of warmth, engagement, and
positivity, leaving everyone inspired and enriched by the experience.

A Culinary Journey into Italian Cuisine: Celebrating the Heartbeat of
Humanity

Under the theme Heartbeat of Humanity,  Inner Wheel Club (IWC) of
Amman/Petra, led by Mrs. Lina Al-Husseini and the administrative
committee hosted a culinary journey into Italian Cuisine. This exclusive
cooking workshop, held at Roberto’s Restaurant in The Ritz-Carlton,
Amman, was expertly guided by Chef Valter Belli from Rome.

Participants had the opportunity to prepare some of Italy’s most
iconic dishes while discovering the secrets behind authentic Italian
flavors. The workshop concluded with a delightful gourmet Italian lunch,
where attendees savoured their own creations in a warm and inviting
atmosphere that truly captured the essence of Italy.

Mrs. Lina Al-Husseini, President of Inner Wheel Petra, along with the
administrative committee, extends heartfelt gratitude to everyone who
contributed to the success of the event—whether through organization
or participation. The club remains committed to offering meaningful and
enriching experiences that foster connection, inspiration, and unity
among its members.

“Art Against Illness” Exhibition at Cairo Opera House

Under the patronage of Inner Wheel Club of Garden City, an art
exhibition titled “Art Against Illness” was inaugurated at Al-Hanager
Hall, Cairo Opera House, by Ambassador Dr. Nabila Makram, Chairperson of
the Board of Trustees of the Fahim Foundation for Psychological Support.

The exhibition showcases more than 60 diverse artworks by distinguished
artists, including architect and artist Iman Afifi, writer and artist
Sally Wafai, as well as artists Hala Fawzy, Dolly Fansa, and Mervat
Al-Rifai

Supporting the Fahim Foundation, the exhibition highlights the
therapeutic and diagnostic role of art in psychological well-being.
Unlike other art forms, painting serves as a universal language that
communicates without words, requiring no translation for the audience to
grasp its meaning and emotional depth.
