Bridging Generations with Compassion and Joy

Under the  theme “ Heartbeat of Humanity,” the Inner Wheel Club of
Alexandria Cleopatra, led by President Soheir Fahmy and Honorary
Secretary Doaa Hamdy, organized a special outing on Wednesday, June
25th, at the Egyptian Yacht Club in Alexandria.

The event brought together two of this year’s key focus groups: the
ladies from Dar El-Hana Elderly Home and the orphaned children from
Safia Gomaa Home. The initiative aimed to foster connection and
interaction between the two generations, resulting in a joyful and
heartwarming atmosphere.

While the elderly ladies relaxed by the sea, the children enjoyed
recreational games at the club. The gathering concluded with a shared
lunch, offering a memorable experience for all.

Dr. Viola Ramsis, founder of the club, attended alongside fellow members
of the Cleopatra Club.

We sincerely hope our country will one day embrace the idea of uniting
elderly and orphan care under one roof, recognizing how deeply they need
each other’s presence, warmth, and companionship.

Exploring the Mystique of Siwa: Dr. Rasha Samir Discusses The Enchante

On Saturday, May 31st, under the theme “The Heartbeat of Humanity,”
a new session of the Book Club, headed by Mrs. Nihal El-Bakry, was held.
The Inner Wheel Club of Nasr City, presided over by Mrs. Gehan Fahim,
together with the Inner Wheel Club of New Cairo, led by Ms. Lina Shaker,
hosted the esteemed author Dr. Rasha Samir to discuss her novel
“Al-Mashoura” (The Enchanted).

The novel is set in the Siwa Oasis and explores the lives of its diverse
tribes, including the indigenous Siwans and the Amazigh people. At the
heart of the story lies the mysterious “Zerzura Oasis” — is it a
real place or a product of legend? Is the lost treasure fact or fiction,
and could the search for it lead to one’s demise? The novel dives deep
into the customs, traditions, and way of life in Siwa, which the author
vividly and skillfully brings to life for the reader.

The event was honored by the presence of Mrs. Siham El-Gohary, the
founder of the Inner Wheel Club of Nasr City and former National
Representative, along with Book Club members, members of both hosting
clubs, and their guests.

At the close of the session, the two club presidents presented Dr. Samir
with a special token of appreciation — a handcrafted wooden plaque
featuring the cover of The Enchanted, designed by the author’s
talented daughter, a gifted graphic designer.

fiction, presenting readers with a compelling dilemma from beginning to
end. Mr. Ebeid masterfully explored the visible and hidden figures of
the era, inviting us to reflect on the past in order to better
understand our present, and to seek truth in a world where reality and
imagination merge.

guests, including members of the district’s Board of Directors:
Mrs. Awatef El Nasharty, Club Extension Chairman for District 95;

We were also deeply honored by the participation of Mrs. Siham

Inner Wheel (IIW), and Mrs. Mona Gemie, President of the Inner Wheel
Club of Giza.

Our gratitude extended to the distinguished members of various Rotary
Clubs, as well as our dedicated Book Club members and their cherished

Representative, who generously presented a symbolic gift to the author
and shared heartfelt Easter gifts with attendees—beautifully prepared
by the young students of the Friends of the Bright Future Association.
