IW Club of Amman held a workshop to familiarize the club’s ladies with the IW Constitution.

IW Club of Amman held a workshop on October 18,2022 to familiarize the club’s ladies with the IW Constitution.

President Vivian Anz welcomed the National Representative of D95 Egypt and Jordan, Mrs. Suzan Al-Kilani, and Vice Chairman, Mrs. Abeer Dajani. She also welcomed President and members of IW club of Philadelphia, President and members of IW Club of Petra, together with IW club of Amman ladies.

The workshop was conducted by D95 NR Mrs. Suzan Al-Kilani, who explained to the attendees in detail about the Innerwheel pyramid starting with the IIW  Governing Body and the National Governing Body going down to the Districts and ending it with the club. Ms. Suzan explained the tasks of each job, there were some questions that she answered with clear and adequate explanation.

The Vice Chairman , Mrs. Abeer Al-Dajani, conveyed the message of District  95 Chairman , Mrs. Nora Fayek to the audience, explaining the IW theme for this year ( Work Wonders ) and stressing the importance of empowering women, taking care of their health and the subject of education, as women are the foundation of society and the educators of the new generation.

It was a useful workshop, which the ladies enjoyed and benefited from

IWC of Alexandria hosted Dr. Manal Elewa WHO CCI Egypt Representative for Global Initiative of Childhood Cancer, Art Therapy Program

On Monday October 17, 2022 

The Inner Wheel Club of Alexandria headed by Mrs Mona El Hakim hosted Dr. Manal Elewa  WHO CCI Egypt Representative for Global Initiative of Childhood Cancer, Art Therapy Program at Borg Al Arab University Hospital.

Dr. Elewa explained to our club members the different therapy programs at Borg Al Arab Hospital for the children cancer patients as well as their mothers, nurses and staff. She also discussed with our members the different ways the club can cooperate with them to add more Art Therapy classes and tools at the hospital.

The seminar was very fruitful and informative especially that Childhood Cancer is one of the Club’s sustainable projects.

Visit of IWC of Zamalek to the Museum of Islamic art in Cairo

 On Tuesday, October 9,

Inner Wheel Club of Zamalek headed by Mrs.Hoda Malash visited the Museum of Islamic art in Cairo after its renovation, in their first activity this year.

The members listened to a full explanation about the Museum since the beginning of the Islamic era and enjoyed watching the antiquities and ancient decorations with a mixture of murals, ceramics and ancient Iranian carpets. The museum is divided into several exhibitions such as Umayyad, Abbasid, Tulunid, Persia,Fatimids and Mamluk eras.

After that, the members visited Al-Azhar Mosque, the most famous mosque in Egypt and Islamic world, and listened to a full explanation of its construction in the Fatimid era since its inception from the tour guide accompanying the trip.

At the end of the trip, the members took some souvenir photos for this cultural day

IWC of Amman Philadelphia Hosted a Therapeutic Yoga Specialist

On October 10,2020,

Inner Wheel Club of Amman Philadelphia presided by Mrs. Duha Bushnaq Abdulhadi and in the presence of district  Vice Chairman Mrs. Abeer Dajani along with the participation of the administrative committee and the club members and their guests, they all gathered at Mrs. Zeina Mshahwar’s farm for a delicious and special breakfast on the occasion of International Breast Cancer Awareness month, Mrs. Duha handed a pink ribbon to the ladies, which is the international symbol of awareness as a reminder of the necessity of periodic examination to prevent this disease.

Mrs. Tala Faris, the therapeutic yoga specialist performed with the ladies deep breathing exercises to get rid of pain and relieve tension and ended up the meeting by answering the questions.

At the end Mrs Duha thanked Mrs Tala for her valuable, interesting and beneficial lecture which was well received by everybody.

D95 Chairman Mrs. Nora Fayek visit to IWC of Zamalek.

The first meeting for the Inner Wheel Club of Zamalek was held in a lovely atmosphere, presided by Mrs. Huda Malish and was honored by the presence of Mrs. Nora  Fayek, Chairman of District 95 (Egypt & Jordan). A large group of IWC Zamalek was in attendance. After the club president’s welcome speech, a movie showing all of last year’s club activities and charitable projects was played. Next, Mrs. Nora Fayek gave her speech, which carried some important messages to the Inner Wheel family, emphasizing the cooperation among the different clubs, that the larger clubs should embrace the smaller ones, and the importance of increasing the number of club members. Finally, she announced the visit of the International IW President to Egypt on January 10th. At the of end the meeting, the artist Marco performed an entertaining musical segment

IWC of Petra & Mona Hamzeh ‘s cultural Salon hosted the Egyptian novelist Hisham Al-Khishen

On Wednesday, September 28, 2022

The Inner Wheel Club of  Petra, headed by Mona Hamzeh Abu Al-Ragheb, and in cooperation with Mona Hamzeh’s Cultural Salon, organized a cultural meeting on, with the Egyptian novelist Hisham Al-Khishen.
The guest writer talked about his journey with writing, and shed light on his motives for writing each of his eight published novels, and what inspired him to write them. Mr. Al-Khishen answered all questions asked by the audience related to his literary works. At the end of the meeting, Mrs. Abu Al-Ragheb thanked Mr. Al-Khishen and presented him the shield of the club

Fist Preliminary meeting of District 95 Egypt& Jordan

On, Saturday, September 24, 2022,

the preliminary meeting of District 95 (Egypt and Jordan) was held at Safir hotel.

The meeting began with playing the Egyptian and the Jordanian national anthems.

Next, Mrs. Nora Fayek, Chairman of D95, welcomed the National Representative, Mrs.Susan Kilani, and all the attendees.

In her speech, Mrs. Kilani, the NR, announced that we are honored to be hosting IIW president Zenaida Farcon in January 2023 to celebrate the IIW Day in Cairo. She added that next year, 2023-2024, will be the centennial year of the Inner Wheel, and that a celebration will be held on May 2024 in Manchester, England, the birthplace of IW. Finally, she delivered the International President’s speech, launching this year’s slogan: “Work Wonders.”

The Chairman stated her vision for this year, which is focusing on education, health and women empowerment, and paying particular attention to the “Haya Karima” Project (under the auspices of the Egyptian President). She emphasized the importance of encouraging girls to join the Inner Wheel because they are the future leaders. She wished the attendees a successful year.

Finally, each of the esteemed executive committee said a word to highlight their role on the district board.

IWC of Amman Philadelphia and a lecture about Osteoporosis

On Monday, September 19th

Inner Wheel Club of Amman Philadelphia, headed by Mrs. Duha Bushnaq Abdel Hadi and the committee members, hosted Dr.Ghadeer Al-Zoubi , owner and manager of Argon medical supplies and Dr. Muhammad Saleh , anesthesiologist and back pain consultant at Abdel Hadi Hospital at the Kempinski Hotel in Amman.Dr.Ghadeer talked about vitamins and the importance of each of them in our daily life and the appropriate time to take each type. Then she distributed different types of vitamins to the attendees.After that Dr. Muhammad explained the causes of back pain and its treatment. He explained that back pain is the second main reason to doctors’ visits after common cold worldwide. He also talked about modern treatment methods through Epidural anesthesia without resorting to full anesthesia in operations. Questions were raised about osteoporosis and feet pain .At the end, Mrs Duha thanked Dr.Ghadeer and Dr.Muhammad for providing the attendees with the treasure of knowledge and valuable information

IWC of Amman a lecture: “Osteoporosis and Aging”

Inner wheel Club of Amman 13/9/2022 had a lecture about women’s health “Osteoporosis and Aging “

by by Dr. Suzan Alsayed. The doctor emphasized the importance of food first, the base line examination of the bones after the age of fifty, and the importance of taking calcium and vitamin D, with the need to walk daily and do physical exercises to strengthen the muscles that embrace and protect the bones.  Occupational Therapist Mrs. Nuha Salah talk about making our homes and the common areas safe by removing what might trigger falling, and making sure dim areas are lightly lit at night. President Vivian Anz Qaqish and Vice District Chairman Mrs. Abeer Dajani attended the lecture. The audience interacted with questions, and the doctor and the specialist answered their inquiries

IWC of Petra in Cooperation of Mona’s Culural Salon Discuss the Book “Years of Struggle: The Women’s Movement in Jordan

On Monday August 15,2022

The Inner Wheel Club of Petra, headed by Mrs. Mona Hamzeh Abu Al-Ragheb, and in cooperation with Mona’s Cultural Salon, held a cultural event to discuss the book: “Years of Struggle: The Women’s Movement in Jordan «, in the presence of its author , the well-known journalist Rana Al-Husseini.

We were honored by the presence of the National Representative of District 95 Egypt and Jordan, Mrs. Suzan Kilani Al-Tayeh, the President of IWC of Amman, Mrs. Vivian Anz, the President of the IWC of Philadelphia, Mrs. Duha Abdel-Hadi, and an umpteen audience of members and guests from the Cultural Salon and Inner Wheel Petra.

It was an interesting session full of discussions and valuable interventions, our guest Al-Husseini answered all questions asked, and presented signed copies of her book to the attendees.
