Mrs. Nora Fayek, Chairman of District 95 (Egypt and Jordan), attended a charity bazaar organized by the Inner Wheel Club of El-Tahrir, which is headed by Mrs. Lobna El-Mesiri. The bazaar was held on November 4-5 at Al-Gezira Sporting Club Zamalek, in cooperation with “ Gezirat Al-Khair — a good aims foundation that is committed to supporting club workers. A large number from different IW clubs was present. The bazaar was a great success, and its income was donated to support the workers of Al-Gezira Sporting

A Cultural Trip By IWC of Sphinx To Ahmed Ibn  Tulun Mosque

Saturday November 5,2022

The Inner Wheel Club of Sphinx, headed by Mrs. Hanan Azmy, organized a cultural trip to the Ahmed Ibn Tulun Mosque and Bayt al-Kritliyya “the Gayer -Anderson Museum” The members listened to a full explanation of the history of these places. The trip was attended by a large number of members from IWC of Sphinx and different IW Clubs, as well as Mrs. Hala Hagrass, Past Chairman of D95, Egypt and Jordan, and Mrs. Rime Nazih, ISO.

Then, they had lunch at Bon Soiree restaurant. Participation in the club’s activities is considered support for the club and its projects

Visit of Mrs. Nora Fayek D95 Chairman to Yasmin El-Samra Charitable Foundation

Yasmin El-Samra Charitable Foundation, DEBRA-Egypt celebrated with EB patients and their families, the International Awareness Week for Epidermolysis Bullosa rare skin disease 2022, October 25th – 31st

On Saturday, October 29th, 2022, at Sea Gull Boat at 12 noon, Mrs Nora Fayek Chairman of D95 Egypt and Jordan and Mrs Ashnadelle Helmy PIIWBM attended a charitable and entertaining party for more than 200 patients suffering from a very rare skin disease called Epidermolysis Bullosa and their families in Egypt and some Arab countries.

Mrs Hanaa Elsadat an Inner Wheel member who was honored with Margaret Golding Award in 2022 is the founder of Yasmine Al-Samra Charitable Foundation, the name of her late daughter Yasmin who passed away in 2012.

The foundation established in 2014, started with 20 EB patients, and now they reached 400 EB. It supports these patients with all medical supplies and all surgeries they needed.

The event’s objective was to celebrate the children undergoing treatment for this ferocious disease that attacks their fragile skin since birth and to create an opportunity for families to bond together and for children to socialize with others with the same ailment.

The ceremony lasted for four hours, included a number of various artistic performances, clowns, magician and singers.

Numerous friends, officials, celebrities from all fields as well as entertainers joined the EB children and their families in a great show of solidarity and support. A major TV channel relayed the event and interviewed supporters of the Foundation.

The EB children sang special songs and presented flowers as a thankful to Mama Hanaa El-Sadat whom they love and adore .

Mrs. Elsadat is also a member of the Executive Board Committee of Debra International Foundation.

Let us all unite together to help, comfort, and relieve the pain of these EB patients.

IWC of Alexandria Sporting Celebrate Youm El Wafa’a (Loyalty Day) 

Recognition of Service “Youm El Wafa’a (Loyalty Day) in the presence of District Chairman Mrs. Nora Fayek

Sunday the 31st of October

IWC of Alexandria Sporting presided by Mrs.Rania Sherif Bayoumi organized Youm el Wafaa to recognize the service to Inner Wheel and to the community to members of IW clubs in Alexandria.

In her speech Mrs. Bayoumi praised the continuous service and support of some of the pillars in IW clubs in Alexandria.

IWC of Amman Philadelphia Twining with IWC of Paphos

A new page is added to the achievements of Inner Wheel Club of Amman Philadelphia in honoring the Cypriot delegation with whom we are proud of renewing the twinning.

Inner Wheel Club of Amman Philadelphia, headed by Mrs Duha Bushnaq Abdulhadi along with its administrative and general members, hosted today November 3, 2022 a women delegation representing the Inner Wheel Club of Paphos headed by Mrs Annie Zachorieu.

A meeting was held in the meeting room at Rotana Hotel at 11:00 am.

The meeting began with the Jordanian and Cypriot anthems followed by the Inner Wheel prayer conducted by Mrs Hanan Ghawi- the secretary of IWC of Philadelphia.

Mrs Muna Sweiss, the Past IIW board member welcomed the Cypriot delegation and the past and present district 96 presidents. Her speech was followed by a word from Mrs Abeer Dajani, Vice Chairman of D95 95 in her turn welcomed the audience and praised the twinning with IWC of Paphos.

Mrs Duha Abdulhadi the president of IWC of Philadelphia, also welcomed the audience and pointed to the importance of the Cypriot delegation visit in strengthening and continuing the friendship in the future. She mentioned the warm reception the Jordanian delegation have had when visited Paphos in 2019.She finished her speech with the Innerwheel Logo for this year “ Work WONDERS “

Mrs Annie Zachorieu thanked IWC of Philadelphia for their warm welcome and stressed on the importance of the twinning between the two clubs.

At the end Mrs Lina Msais, Past Chairman of D 96 talked about the positive spirit between the two clubs and hoped for a continuous success.

Clubs’ flags were exchanged and symbolic presents were given to the Cypriot delegation.

An atmosphere of joy and happiness has prevailed among the members of the two clubs for meeting with each other

On November 2, 2022

The Inner Wheel Club of Cairo north, headed by Mrs. Perry  Taher, hosted Mrs. Nora Fayek, Chairman of District 95 Egypt and Jordan, and Mrs. Azza El Mufti, Honorary Secretary at Le Pasha restaurant.

Sustainable projects were presented. The first is to pay tuition fees for 38 male and female students in two schools in Shubra where the venue of the club is located, and the second is a clinic in the name of the club at 57357 Cancer Hospital ,where the club provides its requirements.

In her speech, Mrs. Nora Fayek thanked the club for their projects, especially their interest in health and education and recognizing the club cooperation with different clubs

On October 26,

Mrs. Nora Fayek, Chairman of District 95 Egypt and Jordan, visited the Inner Wheel Club of Giza at the Egyptian Diplomatic Club, in the presence of Mrs. Hala Hagrass, Past District Chairman, and Mrs.Azza Al Mofti, the honorary Secretary.

Mrs. Janine Doss, President of IWC of Giza, welcomed the distinguished guests, and presented the club’s projects and future plans.

The most important projects are heart operations for children in “Abu Al Reesh Hospital” and purchase a dialysis machine.

As well as sponsoring the education of two children from “Dar Al-Fustat”, and treating patients, free from charge, in El Zomor Canal area.

Mrs. Nora Fayek in her speech expressed her deep gratitude for the club’s projects. She also noted the importance of cooperation between different IW clubs for exchanging of ideas and experiences.

After this presentation, lunch was served in a lovely an atmosphere

Joint meeting between IWC of Zamalek & IWC of El Nile hosted Eng. Mona El Degheidi

In a joint meeting with Inner Wheel Club of Nile and with the presence of Mrs Hala Hagras past district chairman, and within an atmosphere full of joy , culture and stories, the IW club of Zamalek held a meeting with guest speaker Eng. Mona El Degheidi also known as Nouni or Om Asser and Islam Yassin.

The talk was extremely pleasant, lively and full of beautiful memories. She explained how she brought up her two boys in a strict but pleasant way by narrating stories that brings up the information and hence achieves her goal, which in actual fact should be applied to bring up the new generation in a simple and acceptable way.

Discussions also were about her book Nouni WA Hakaweeha (i.e Nouni and her stories) which contains 35 different short stories from her life written in a simple language and extremely joyful.

The meeting in general was extremely informative and pleasant

IWC of Alexandria East Hosted Egyptian Author Dr. Reem Bassiouny

On October 22,

IWC of Alexandria East hosted Egyptian Author Dr.Reem Basiouny in a seminar entitled “The Fatimids’ truth and Building Cairo”

Dr. Bassiouny won Naguib Mahfouz Award from Egypt’s Supreme Council for Culture in the Egyptian novel category, The Mamluk Trilogy. She was also the winner of the National Prize for Excellence in Literature of the year 2022 from the Egyptian Ministry of Culture.

It was an interesting seminar where Dr.Bassiouny talk about her new book “El Halawany “ and She answered all questions asked by the audience

At the end, she signed copies of her books to the attendees

Dr. Dalia Ahmed Nafeh, Professor of Hematology and Marrow Transplantation, Head of the Hematology Unit at the Faculty of Medicine, Alexandria University, was hosted.

She spoke at length about the unit of marrow transplantation and blood diseases
