Inner Wheel Club D95

On, Saturday, November the 26th, 2022

The first official meeting of District 95 Egypt and Jordan Governing Body ( The executive committee and club delegates) .

The meeting was held in Cairo at the Le Pacha venue.

The meeting began with playing the  Egyptian and the Jordanian national anthems.

Mrs. Nora Fayek, Chairman of D95, welcomed the National Representative, Mrs. Suzan Kilani, and all the attendees.

In her speech, the NR confirmed the dates and program of the IIW president Mrs. Zenaida Farcon’s visit to Egypt and Jordan to celebrate the IIW Day on January the 10th, 2023.

Mrs. Nora Fayek, District Chairman welcomed the members of the executive committee, then she announced the vacant positions in D95 for the year 2023-2024

The magazine of last year was distributed.

The Chairman, NR, and IW members took commemorative pictures and lunch was served.

Inner Wheel Club of Heliopolis held a scientific symposium in which the president of the club, Mrs. Salwa Selim, hosted a group of professors of pediatric cardiology at Ain Shams University. They are the medical team responsible for therapeutic cardiac catheterization operations for children at Al-Demerdash Hospital.

‏They agreed to start a cooperation between the club and the medical team to achieve the club’s project for this year.

‏The doctors explained the importance of therapeutic catheterization for children suffering from a congenital heart disease as an alternative to open-heart surgery

‏ The meeting was attended by Mrs Afaf  Maged the Vice D.Chairman, members of the Rotary Club of Heliopolis, the president of the IWC of El Mansoura and members of the club

Tuesday the 22nd of November

Following the “ Plant A Tree” initiative presented by D95 Chairman Mrs. Nora Fayek;

Inner wheel Club of Alexandria Sporting headed by Mrs. Ranya sherif Bayoumi planted a tree in El-Khier district.  This goes with COP27 conference which was held in Sharm EL-Sheikh and the importance of keeping our environment clean awareness.  The tree is planted in “El shahid Yasser Morsi School “ Moreover, there was an awareness campaign for the students, where they taught them the importance of keeping our environment clean for a better future. The campaign was attended by IWC President, school principal and teaching school board members

On November 21, 2022,

in a joint meeting between IWC of Garden City headed by Didi El Sourani and Rotary Club of a Nile headed by Magda Elalfy at Saphir hotel. In an atmosphere of pride and greatness, the 2 clubs hosted three of the Thunderbolt and Aviation heroes who participated in the victory of the glorious October War.

IWC of Zamalek together with  IWC Cairo west Hosted the  Icon Azza Fahmy., the Egyptian and international famous jewelry designer

Today November 15 the IW club of Zamalek together with IW Cairo West held a joint meeting attended by a large number of members and guests in honor of our guest speaker the Icon Azza Fahmy., the Egyptian and international famous jewelry designer.
Within a lovely light atmosphere she talked about her memories her childhood , her starts and her love and passion for the Egyptian civilization which was the main inspiration of her jewelry design. She was the first woman to go and train in the quarters of Khan khalili jewelry workshops learning and making all her designs herself. She believes that the making of the design has to be done by the designer himself which makes it very special.
One of her main concerns was that her daughters get the best education so one has graduated from the most prestigious Jewelry design university in England and the other from USA in another field and both are now her right hand applying what they have learned in growing the business turning it into an international corporation bearing her name.
The design studio of Azza Fahmi is another achievement it’s the first specialized jewelry making and design school in Egypt and the MEast in cooperation with international designers and teachers to encourage the talented students through specialized courses.
Azza Fahmi’s dreams have no end and this what she believes and this was the title of her book.

On November 15,

the Inner Wheel Club of Cairo headed by Dr. Wagida Anwar hosted Mrs. Nora Fayek, Chairman of District95, Egypt and Jordan Mrs Hala Hagras Past Chairman , Mrs. Azza Al-Mofti, Honorary Secretary and Mrs. Fatma Abu Hatab at the Automobile And Touring Club Of Egypt.

In their meeting IWC of Cairo presented their sustainable projects, the Senior Home in 6th October and The Nursery in Garden City.In her speech Mrs.Nora Fayek expressed her deep gratitude for the club’s projects.

She also noted the importance of cooperation between the clubs , lunch was served in an atmosphere of friendship

 

In conjunction with the United Nations Climate Change Conference 2022, COP27 World in Sharm El Sheik and in line with its objectives to preserve nature, environment and  climate from pollution and heat emissions, and upon the initiative of Mrs. Nora Fayek, Chairman of District 95, Egypt and Jordan, the Inner Wheel  Club of Sharm El-Sheikh, took the first initiative on November 13, to plant 3 beautiful trees and scented shrubs in one of the afforestation places in Al-Gezira  Sporting Club

In conjunction with the United Nations Climate Change Conference 2022, COP27 World in Sharm El Sheik, and in line with its objectives to preserve nature, environment and climate from pollution and heat emissions, and in response to the initiative of Mrs. Nora Fayek, Chairman of District 95 Egypt and Jordan, the Inner Wheel Club of Petra headed by Mona Hamzeh Abu Al-Ragheb, planted a tree in the garden of Pioneer Senior Citizens Forum, which was established to serve the welfare and interests of the elderly.

The club’s ladies were received by the founder and chairwoman of the forum, Mrs. Haifa Al-Bashir, who appreciated this initiative to plant trees, either individually or as part of a group, in order to reduce global greenhouse gas emissions. Mrs. Al-Bashir expressed her wish that such constructive initiatives continue on larger scale

Fashion Show The authentic Arab heritage is embodied in its modern style to preserve the roots of the culture of our countries through a fashion show that symbolizes the traditional clothes of our ancestors which became a trend to our new generation.

This trend became a trademark to our friendship with our beloved members of Inner Wheel Club of Paphos and the administrative and club members of Innerwheel club of Amman Philadelphia presided by Mrs. Duha Bushnaq Abdulhadi.

The club hosted today Saturday 5/11/2022 a big lunch at the farm of Mrs Suheir Miqdadi with a fashion show in an atmosphere of love and warmth.

The club president Mrs. Duha welcomed the guests followed by a word by Mrs Annie the president of Inner Wheel club of Paphos who in her turn thanked the ladies of Inner Wheel  club of Amman Philadelphia for their generosity and warm reception. She then donated a sum to the treasury of the club.

Mrs. Duha thanked the club of Paphos for their generous donation.

All the ladies enjoyed the joyful atmosphere and the delicious homemade food.

The president and her administrative and club members said goodbye to the Cypriot delegation which their visit to Jordan will come to end the next day morning.
