The IWC of Alexandria and the RC of Alexandria held a cultural event under the name of Cinema and Art for Peace

On Saturday January 28,2023

The Inner Wheel Club of Alexandria and the Rotary Club of Alexandria held a cultural event under the name of Cinema and Art for Peace in cooperation with the Egyptian Opera House.

Cream of the Crop film directed by Dr Dina Abdel Salam was screened and a seminar was held to discuss the film which won 27 international and national awards.

An exhibition for arts was organized in which ten distinguished female artists participated in under the title Women and Peace. Thanks to the Inner Wheel Nile club for joining the exhibition.

At the end of the event, thanks were extended to the Egyptian Opera House for it’s pioneering role in the Egyptian culture and for it’s support for the Arts and Cinema for Peace initiative.

Typical Jordanian Lunch in honor of D 95 Chairman

On the occasion of the visit of IWDC Mrs. Nora Fayek to the clubs in Amman, Jordan,

Mrs. Sana Bajali , committee member in IWC of Amman invited Mrs. Nora Fayek, NR Suzan El Kilani, the Egyptian delegate,  her  club committee and past board members for a typical Jordanian lunch  on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at her home on behalf of her Club committee were Mansaf ,the traditional Jordanian dish was crowning  many other delicious side dishes of lamb necks, stuffed grape leaves and live made kunafa for dessert.

The house was still beautifully decorated withX-Mas ornaments.

A lovely gesture from a hospitable colleague added more warmth and appreciation among the ladies.

A farewell Lunch by The Wife of The Egyptian Ambassador

On  January 15 and on the occasion of the visit of  IW DC Mrs. Nora Fayek with her delegates from the board and club members, a yearly ritual is held as a farewell lunch on the day of their departure  back to Egypt by the wife of the Egyptian Ambassador :Mrs. Zeinab Shukri wife of HE Mr. Mohammad Samir Marzouk.

Including in the lunch were members of the three  Jordanian club presidents, committee members as well as Jordanian past board members .

The generosity of the hostess was well observed and on the main dining table were delicious famous Egyptians food and deserts .

The Egyptian Ambassador’s house is the haven to its citizens with its doors wide open.

Great gesture and super generosity.

A special visit to Raghadan Royal Palace in Amman

On the occasion of the visit of IW DC Mrs Nora Fayek and her Egyptian delegation to Amman Jordan.

Mrs. Abeer Dajani, Vice Chairman in Jordan arranged a very special visit to Raghadan Royal Palace in Amman  in the morning of January 15,2022

Raghadan Palace symbolizes the Jordanian government and the history of the country.

All kings of Jordan ruled from there.

King ABDALLAH ll meets foreign leaders and dignitaries there.

Prime ministers’ cabinets are formed there as well as accepting the credentials of all new coming ambassadors to Jordan.

We were warmly greeted by the palace directors who showed us around the Royal throne hall and the other rooms in the palace with detailed explanations.

We were the guests of HRH princess Basma Bint Talal, our IW Honorary President in Jordan, the aunt of His Majesty King ABDALLAH ll who arranged for us the visit .

A fine reception was offered to us with a gift of books of the history of the place to each and every one of the attendees .

Mrs. Nora Fayek with Mrs. Abeer Dajani signed the Royal guest book.

The delegation and Jordanian IW members visited the Royal graveyard and read verses from the Koran on the tomb of late King Hussein ,the builder of modern Jordan as well as his parents and grandparents ,late princes and late princesses .

That day coincided with Int’l Arbor Day where a tree was planted by DC Mrs.  Nora Fayek  in the palace Royal gardens .The trip ended by visiting a nearby building for the treasures ,belongings and gifts presented to late  king Hussein and his grandfather.

An official meeting was held by District 95 Chairman at the Kempinski Hotel with the Three Jordanian Clubs.

After the end of the IIW President, Mrs Zenaida Farcon visit to the Inner Wheel clubs of Jordan.

Mrs Nora Fayek, Chairman of District 95 Egypt &Jordan Mrs. Nora Fayek started her visit in Jordan with some of her executive committee members and some Egyptian IW members.

An official meeting was held by District Chairman on Saturday, January 14,2023 at the Kempenski hotel with the three clubs.

NR Mrs. Suzan Kilani and Vice Chairman Mrs. Abeer Dajani from Jordan attended the meeting.

Mrs. Abeer Dajani ,Vice Chairman  opened the meeting by welcoming the NR ,the District Chairman, the three presidents, Mrs. Vivian Anz of IW Club of Amman, Mrs. Duha Abdulhadi of IWC of Philadelphia and Mrs. Mona Abu Ragheb of IWC of Petra. Each president briefed  us with  their year’s  club activities which  were carefully chosen to abide  by Int’l IW objectives and IIW President’s vision.

Then, District Chairman Mrs. Nora Fayek took the floor with a warm and informative speech that covered important issues related to IW objectives ,rules and answered various questions related to IW issues . Discussions took place in a friendly, warm and family atmosphere.

The meeting took two hours and ended successfully with positive energy and fruitful ideas.

Vice Chairman D 95 Hosted IIW President For Dinner at Daimeh Restaurant

On Friday, January 13,

Mrs. Abeer Dajani, Vice Chairman of D95 Egypt &Jordan hosted IIW President Mrs. Zenaida Farcon and District 95 Chairman Mrs. Nora Fayek and the Egyptian delegation with NR Mrs.Suzan Kilani and prominent Jordanian women for dinner with a violinist at “Daimeh“restaurant part of Queen RANIA Al ABDALLAH /Jordan River .This valuable foundation helps  to empower and support families in the  remote rural and Bedouin areas to improve their standards of living . Mrs. Ilham El Yaseen, the mother of Queen Rania ,in charge of River Jordan foundation was among the guests and welcomed  warmly all the guests . All toured and enjoyed the handmade local, high end  products with fine taste from embroidery ,to weaving, metal art, and sweets .The proceeds from the restaurant and exhibition supports the underprivileged .

After dinner, IIW President Mrs. Zenaida Farcon exchanged IW flags with three club presidents in Jordan :Amman, Philadelphia and Petra.

A warm and authentic atmosphere prevailed during that evening.

Inner Wheel Clubs in Jordan invited IIWP Mrs. Zenaida Farcon and her spouse for a dinner gathering at a Majdoline Restaurant (A Middle Eastern restaurant famous for its meza) .NR Mrs. Suzan Kilani and DC Mrs. Nora Fayek, board Members of D95 and the delegation of IW Clubs of Egypt and Jordan attended.

NR Mrs. Suzan Kilani invited IIWP Mrs. Farcon, DC Mrs. Nora Fayek, IWD members and the visiting delegation, also the presidents of Jordan three clubs and some Inner Wheel members for luncheon at Marriott Dead Sea hotel.  The guests were happy to visit the lowest point on earth (420 meters beneath sea level) and experience the dead sea salty water and oily texture. It was a lovely warm day.

Friday Morning was a special day as IIWP Mrs. Zenaida Farcon and her husband, visited the Baptism Site of Jesus Christ at Bethany on Jordan River in Dead Sea area.  NR Mrs. Suzan Kilani, DC Mrs Nora Fayek, IW Amman President Mrs. Vivian Anz Qakish and Mrs. Nuha Asfour accompanied them touring the area. She attended a ceremonial Mass on the occasion of Epiphany.

District 95 Egypt and Jordan welcomed on Jan 12th, 2023, in Amman Jordan IIW President Mrs. Zenaida Farcon,

Accompanied by NR Mrs. Suzan Kilani, DC Mrs. Nora Fayek and district board members.

NR Mrs. Suzan Kilani welcomed the IIW president MRs. Zenaida Farcon, DC Mrs. Nora Fayek, and D95 Board members and the accompanying delegation from Egypt to their second home, Jordan.

The IIW president Mrs. Zenaida Farcon addressed the attendees of the three Jordanian clubs Amman, Philadelphia and Petra, thanking the NR Mrs. Suzan Kilani for the invitation and facilitating her trip to D95 and for her efforts in preparing for this visit, and thanked DC Mrs. Nora Fayek for the welcome and the valuable and wonderful time she had during her stay in Egypt, she also expressed her deepest condolences to  Mrs. Abeer Dajani D95 Vice Chairman in Jordan for the passing away of her mother in law, and thanked the three club presidents Mrs. Vivian Anz Qakish, Mrs. Duha Abdel Hadi, and Mrs. Mona Hamz

The IIW president talked about this years theme “Work Wonders” and the six goals set to follow. A video of the three clubs projects and activists showed what has been achieved of these goals.

She wished Jordan can create a new young generation club by targeting young girls and encouraging them to volunteer.

 

A symbolic gift was presented to IIWP Mrs. Zenaida Farcon by the three clubs Amman, Philadelphia and Petra.

An Arabic dress fashion show of Jordanian and Palestinian dresses was shown from the original collection of Mrs. Widad Qiwar.

Memorable photos with all clubs members were taken.

It was a Happy atmosphere full of friendship vibes.
