Visiting of District 95 Chairman to IWCs of Alexandria El Nozha

On Wednesday  April 7, 2021, and in an atmosphere full of pride and honor, Mrs. Mona Aref, Chairman of District 95, Egypt and Jordan, met at Sea Side Restaurant with Inner Wheel  Clubs of Alexandria El Nozha & its President Iman EL Deeb  , Alexandria Sporting & its President Dina El Hadary  and Alexandria Mediterranean & its President Mervat Ramsis  in the presence of Enaya Sharara the extension Chairman . Each president presented the great achievements that she presented in a very difficult year, on top of which is the convoy of ophthalmology, in which the five Alexandrian clubs participated where 70 operations were done.  The work of a full operations room under the supervision of the Chairman of D95 Egypt & Jordan to investigate her generous initiative “The light is in the hearts” and each of them presented a number of sustainable projects other than this year’s projects that came completely outside the fund, and some of them were praised by the international president, such as the project to provide job opportunities for youth  facilitating their living conditions, and caring for and establishing villages, in addition to water connections to khorshid.

And the work of the artificial limbs project which has already come out is a major life-changing project.

Also supporting a number of hospitals such as Ayadi El Mostakbal Oncology center ,Magdy Yaqoob Heart Hospital, sponsoring students ’expenses in schools, and the work of the student exhibition at Alexandria University.

Positive participation in all initiatives plant a tree of peace,

rapid movement in the relief project for Lebanon, which was also appreciated by the International Inner Wheel.

Donation to 57357 Hospital Participation and the Long Live Egypt Project for a Warm Winter.

Mona Aref praised in her speech on this unprecedented activity and these important projects. Despite the Corona pandemic, the support has not stopped everywhere, and these clubs were able to light candles of hope in the most needy places in Alexandria.

Mrs. Viola Ramses founder of Alexandria Mediterranean was honored due to her dedication and efforts over the years.

The  meeting ended in an atmosphere of joy and happiness.

IWC of Zamalek Visiting the Qubbah Palace

7/4/2021The Inner Wheel Club of Zamalek under the presidency of Mrs. Samia Abo El Fetouh visited the Qubbah Palace. This visit is among many visits within the framework of the project “known Your Country “which the club has adopted for more than 10 years to get to know the historical places in Egypt. The palace is one of the three main presidential palaces with the Abdin Palace and Ras El Teen Palace. Great in our modern history so far, it is used to receive kings and presidents from different official delegates. The visit took place inside the various wings of the palace.

The visit took place inside the various wings of the palace as well as the museum attached to it, built by Khedive Ismail in 1873 and completed in 1873.

Qasr al-Qubbah is one of the largest Royal palaces, an area of about 190 acres, the palace garden is one of the largest gardens in Egypt, rare trees since the era of Khedive Ismail

During the reign of Khedive Tawfiq, the palace in which he was born became the site of the most luxurious ceremonies and royal weddings, and a place where his visitors expressed their intense admiration for its lush gardens.

It should be noted that among these families there are 350 families that are sponsored by the club on a continuous, regular basis, which are rotated according to the social research that the club does by itself through specific hired employees. The project of Old Cairo families has been going on for 20 years now by the club.

Visit of District Chairman & IWCs to IWC of El Minya

27/3/2021“Knowledge is Light, and Reading is Life.”

A wonderful initiative from the heart of Aton coinciding with the visit to the bride of Upper Egypt, Al Minya.

Mrs. Mona Aref District 95, Egypt and Jordan, Chairman visited, Inner Wheel Club of Al Minya She was accompanied by several members, the District Editor and  members of IWC’s of El Mansoura & Sphinx .

 

President of IWC of Al Minya and Past President invited the delegation to visit one of the sustainable projects of Al Minya Club (Home for Education and Social Care for Boys) The delegation members were welcomed by the persons in charge of running that house.

 

In her speech Mrs. Mona Aref underlined the importance of reading and the necessity to go back to it and encourage reading. Then she announced that she launched a great initiative in which the clubs of the district participated. In order to activate this initiative (Knowledge is Light and Reading is Life), she offered a complete library containing valuable collections of books in many areas of knowledge to the house.

IWC of Al Minya was the first to activate this great initiative in Egypt’s IWCs.

 

Later on, they moved to Aton Hotel located on the banks of the Nile to attend the meeting. In an atmosphere of friendship, happiness, and with a wonderful and picturesque view, the meeting began. Mrs. Mona Aref started the meeting by underlining the real meaning of love, which raises the value of oneself “when you want to be unique you have to make incredible efforts”. Then underlined on how to activate this year’s slogan (Lead the Change).

She also expressed her thanks and gratitude to the President of IWC of Al Minya   and the members for their speedy response to activate her cultural initiative, Science is Light, and Reading is Life, and to conclude she praised all their efforts made throughout this IW year.

Mrs. Hoda Fathy expressed her great happiness for holding this meeting in March, which includes 3 occasions for women: The International Women’s Day, the Egyptian Women’s Day and Mother’s Day.

Mrs Mona Aref reviewed the club’s activities and projects, which were well received by the attendees. At the end, the District Chairman and Al Minya President exchanged souvenirs.

Visit of D95 Chairman to Al Mansoura & Tanta IWCs

13/3/2021In a  friendship atmosphere District 95 Egypt & Jordan IWCs in Al Mansoura and Tanta met with Mrs. Mona Aref, District 95 Chairman, Egypt and Jordan, at the Rose Island club in Al Mansoura.

Members of the District committee, in addition to several Presents and Past  Presidents and clubs members from Giza, Al-Ahram Giza, Al-Gezira Sporting, Sphinx, Al-Nozha, Alexandria, Alexandria East, Nile, Nasr City, Heliopolis, Tanta and Mansoura Clubs attended the meeting.

 

Amidst the manifestations of delight, happiness and joy, the president of IWC of Al Mansoura Mrs Nagwa Kandil, and her board members welcomed all the attendees.

At the beginning of the meeting the D95 Chairman thanked IWC of Al Mansoura President and its members for their hospitality and organization. She also thanked Mrs.Ghada Ramy President of IWC of Tanta and members for incurring the hardship of traveling to extend the bonds of friendship, interaction and participation with the various clubs.

 

In her speech Mrs, Mona Aref underlined the meaning of true friendship and the activation of this year’s slogan , LEAD THE CHANGE. She added that Al Mansoura is an elite and great city who gave birth to great scholars, writers and artists. She added that she is happy to be in the midst of this gathering in that ancient city.

Then, District committee members also gave their speeches.

Al Mansoura IWC President listed in detail all the donations, contributions, achievements, seminars, trips and sustainable projects that were carried out throughout the year.

The D95 Chairman thanked Al Mansoura IWC members for their efforts, hard work and good will.

On Al Mansoura IWC 50th anniversary, a memorial film covering the past fifty years was shown, it was well received by the attendees.

In her turn, President of IWC of Tanta Mrs. Ghada Ramy presented the activities, projects, donations, and works of her club throughout the year, a film that shows all IWC of Tanta projects & activities was displayed. Mrs.Aref thanked the club’s president for her efforts.

During the event, D95 Chairman pinned two members of IWCs of Al Mansoura and Tanta with the Inner Wheel pins.

 

The D95 Chairman presented a shield of appreciation & gratitude to Mrs.Fatma El Hakee one of the founders of IWC of Al Mansoura in the occasion of the club’s 50th anniversary, which coincide with the establishment of the IW District 95 Egypt & Jordan .Al Mansoura IW Club was one of the five clubs that were established during the same period.

 

In memory of this event, shields of appreciation and gifts  were exchanged between the District 95 Egypt & Jordan Chairman and the IWCs president.

In the midst of this atmosphere the attendees were invited to visit the bazaar organized by IWC of Al Mansoura to support handicrafts produced by one of its sustainable projects of Al Nour Wal Amal center, Tahseen Al Saha, Tamai Al Zahira, in addition to the products of the creative women working from their homes from all villages of Dakahlia. The exhibits were appreciated by all attendees.

 

At the end of the day, every one enjoyed a tasty lunch and tasted a tasty piece of the cake that was specially prepared to celebrate IWC of Al Mansour fiftieth anniversary

Visit of District Chairman & IWCs of D95 Egypt & Jordan To Port Said & Ismailia IW clubs

27/2/2021 – Inner Wheel Clubs of District 95, Egypt and Jordan, attended the  annually visit with, Mrs. Mona Aref District Chairman to Port Said and Ismailia clubs, at the Police Officers Club in Port Said.

The meeting was attended by Mrs. Iman Al-Bashary, the National Representative, and Mrs. Nihal Al-Bakry, the deputy National Representative, and the members of the district committee.

 

The participants were received with great hospitality from IW friends in Port Said and Ismailia. The meeting was carried out amidst all the taken precautionary measures.

This opportunity gathered different IW Clubs: Alexandria East, Alexandria Al-Nozha, Tanta, Mansoura, Cairo, Cairo North, Giza, El Gesira Sporting, Giza Al-Ahram, Nasr City, the Nile Club, Nasr City , Ismailia and Port Said.

Mrs. Mona Aref, DC, welcomed all the attendees and extended her thanks and gratitude to Port Said and Ismailia IWCs members, and a special thanks to Mrs. Samia Matar, President of IWC of Port Said and its members for organizing this distinguished meeting.

 

She underlined how to activate the real meaning of true friendship and teamwork so that we as Inner Wheelers can complete the work in the fullest way. She wished a speedy recovery for the president of the IWC of Ismailia who was unable to participate to the meeting due to her illness.

 

Mrs. Samia Matar, presented the projects and achievements of the Club, which were admired by the District Chairman and the attendees and underlined the necessity of emphasizing and setting criteria for the selection of new club members in order to promote them.

 

Mrs. Magda Shehata, Ismailia Club treasurer, spoke on behalf of the club’s President and presented the projects and achievements of IWC of Ismailia.

Business meeting to discuss the Proposals to amend the constitution

6/3/2021 – A business meeting of the District 95, Egypt and Jordan was held at the Le Pasha boat.

Mrs. Mona Aref, District Chairman and the district committee attended the meeting. The attendees were especially pleased by the presence of Mrs. Suzan Kilani, the Past Chairman who flew specially from Jordan to attend the meeting.

We have to underline that Mrs. Iman El Bashari NR and her deputy Mrs.

Nihal El Bakry made an extraordinary and unprecedented effort so that this meeting takes place at the highest level for the benefit of all. We thank them both very much for their efforts.

All health precautionary measures were applied.

Past N Representatives & Past D95 Chairmen also participated in this meeting. Numerous members in Egypt and Jordan were able to attend the meeting live via Zoom.

Mrs. Mona Aref, D95 Chairman welcomed all the present attendees.

Using large display screens, Mrs. Iman El Bashari, NR, began the meeting by explaining and detailing all the proposals that have been amended to the constitution. She also clarified the new proposals that will be approved and discussed at the 18th virtual convention in Jaipur, India, which will be held on 17 & 18 April, with the attendance of 4,000 IW members from around the world and clearly covered all inquiries and questions from members.

 

The attendees were pleasantly surprised to learn about the new IWC, the IWC of “Lotus Misr”. Great thanks to Mrs. Enaya Shararah for her efforts to bring the club to light, congratulations to Mrs. Nazik Al-Alfi, club’s President, and welcome to the new club!

We deeply thank and appreciate the efforts of Deputy National Representative, Nihal El-Bakry, who tirelessly prepared and coordinated all the proposals to list.

 

A documentary film prepared by Mrs. Mervat El Azzouni, the webmaster, was shown to the satisfaction and pleasure of the members. It was a wonderful flashback of the history of the IW, which allowed us to relive the most beautiful memories and greatest achievements of IW over fifty years of service and friendship. We must not forget to thanks Mrs. Ashnadelle Hilmy Mortagy, IIW Past Board Director, for providing the archival content and technical support.

 

During this happy atmosphere, Mrs. Aref, the District Chairman, thanked Mrs. Iman El Bashari, for the extraordinary and distinguished efforts that she undertook, and for the outcome of this successful meeting. She also thanked all the attendees for all their efforts. At the end of the meeting Mrs. Mona Aref presented to both IWCs of Cairo and Heliopolis a shield marking the fifty-year anniversaries. She promised to present a shield to IWCs of Mansoura, Amman, and Alexandria at their meeting.

This year, District 95 Egypt & Jordan approved the establishment of new clubs, to comply with the requisite of the IIW President to implement new IWCs in the different districts around the world.

 

In her speech, Mrs. Mona Aref underlined that the most important objectives of the IW are to promote true friendship and service. She added that she is proud that the establishment of this new IWC was realized under her presidency and is honored by the selection of distinguished personalities to form a new team.

District Chairman Mona Aref Visit to Friends of Bright Tomorrow Association

20/2/2021 – Mrs. Mona Aref, Chairman of District 95, Egypt and Jordan, visited the “Friends of Bright Tomorrow Association for Special Needs” headed by Mrs. Shahinaz Hafez. This association is one of the sustainable projects of the Inner Wheel Club of Nasr City. Members of the district committee, President of Nasr City Club,  President of Al-Shorouk Club, joined the visit.

 

The delegation visited this great association with its educational classes and various halls, including ones dedicated to sports, technical rehabilitation, and manual activities such as a paper quilling center with exquisite artistic models. This association provides many services, including schooling, and educational classes according to ages and capabilities. It also contains a medical department that offers physiotherapy and speech therapy, an Autism department that evaluates cases and prepares appropriate programs.

During the latter part of the visit, the delegation attended a dancing session that was performed specially to welcome them. Finally, everyone met in the large reception hall, where they watched a documentary film about the development of the association and its various humanitarian activities, especially how its children obtained several certificates of excellence in different sports and artistic fields at the national level, and successfully acquired educational certificates.

IWC of Amman Petra organized a Cultural event

14/2/2021 – The Inner Wheel Club of Petra headed by Mrs. Seneen Baghdadi Chehabi, in cooperation with the Mona Hamzeh Cultural Salon, organized a musical evening on Zoom with the Egyptian singer and composer Sherif Ismail, on the occasion of Valentine’s Day .  The evening was attended by the Past Chairman of District 95, Egypt and Jordan, Mrs. Suzan Kilani and Mrs. Jida Farradj, President of Inner Wheel Club of Amman .

Sherif brought back to us memories of old songs and we were also happy to listen to a bunch of songs from his tunes.

The visit of District 95, Egypt and Jordan chairman Mrs. Mona Aref and her Executive Board Members, to support Yasmine El-Samra Charitable Foundation in Egypt

15/2/2021 – Mrs. Mona Aref, Chairman of District 95, Egypt and Jordan and her EBMs visited Yasmin El-Samra Charitable Foundation to support   patients who suffered from Epidermolysis Bullous rare skin disease   physically, psychologically  and morally.

The Executive Board Members attended were:

Mrs. Mona Elgemeii International Service  Organizer

Mrs. Nazek Elalfy an Inner Wheel member.

Everyone was welcomed by Mrs. Hanaa El-Sadat, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and Mrs. Azza Megahed, Treasurer and Mrs. Zainab Ahmed, the secretary.

The visit began by welcoming the children with Epidermolysis bullosa and their families  talking about their conditions and the technical skills they learned in the foundation . At the same time, the children presented their products that won the admiration of everyone.

Gifts were distributed among the EB patients, memorial photos were taken as well , and finally a donation of twenty thousand pounds were given  to Yasmine  El Samra Charitable Foundation which serves and care for 170 cases of  EB cases  in Egypt.

We are proud that   Yasmin El Samra Charitable Foundation is the only one that supports this EB disease in Egypt and the Arab countries.

Yasmin ElSamra foundation  is the Egyptian  ambassador accredited by Debra Without Borders and Debra international  (Debra Egypt) that work on awareness and researches for EB  cure.
