Inner Wheel Club of Amman Philadelphia First Program Opening Ceremony for the New IWCs Year

In a full of love, understanding, awareness and mutual respect atmosphere, the first program of a new IWCs year was successfully completed.

The club’s president, Mrs. Alya Alyan, opened the club’s ceremony with a valuable lecture under the name “How to Stay Younger Longer”. The lecture was at Zepter’s building. We’ve listened to many benefits on preserving food nutrition’s through the use of Zepter’s products. At the end of the lecture, Ms. Alya presented an honorary shield on behalf of the club to the ceremony’s sponsoring company.

Greetings to the great general board, the crowd was amazing and the beautiful spirit is a great omen to a promising new year. A successful start for a successful year if god wills.

Inner Wheel Club Seminar “Egypt at the Crossroads…To Be or Not To Be

On Monday, October 22th 2018, Inner Wheel Club of Alexandria and Inner Wheel of Alexandria West had a meeting at the Syrian club. We’re honored with the presence was of Mrs. Samia Hatata, president advisor of IWCs District 95 Egypt & Jordan and former president for the region. Our guest was the Economic and Strategic Expert Mr. Sherif Delwar. The title of the seminar was “Egypt at the Crossroads…To Be or Not To Be.” The seminar tackled questions from the attendees about the current economic situation.

Inner Wheel Club of Tahrir visit to 57357 Children’s Hospital

Fayoum 17 November 2018

Members of Inner Wheel Club of Tahrir headed by Mrs.Nahla Tiba, with the presence of Mrs. Fatima Barada, Mrs. Mona Fathy, Mrs. Randa Al-Metwally and Mrs. Lubna Al-Mesiry, visited the 57357 Children’s Hospital to give donations to the hospital and present gifts to patients.

Under this year International Inner Wheel Club slogan 2018/2019

The first primary meeting for IWCs district 95 Egypt & Jordon was held on Saturday the 15th of September 2018 at 12 pm at Le Pacha Boat with the presence of IWCs district 95 Egypt & Jordon board of directors for year 2018/2019.

We were honored by the presence of Mrs. Mona Sweis, member of the Board of Directors of Inner Wheel International Club in Jordan, National Delegates and former presidents of the region, as well as a gathering of heads, secretaries and treasurers of IWCs District 95 Egypt & Jordan.

Each member of the Board of Directors delivered a welcome speech, full of hope and optimism for a successful Inner Wheel year. President Mrs. Dina Ghorab, also delivered a speech on behalf of Mrs. Kamelah Tawfiq, treasurer of IWCs and Mrs. Hana El Sadat, who are responsible for the website.

This year IWCs main objectives to be were discussed, most importantly National IWCs for Women’s and Girls’ Project, which was approved by Melbourne Conference in April 2018 and will continue for the next three years.

At the end of the meeting, last year magazines were distributed 2017/2018 on the club delegates.

The meeting was filled with an atmosphere full of love and friendship and best wishes to a successful year to all.

First Meeting for IWCs District 95 Egypt & Jordan President 2018/2019 Mrs. Dina Ghorab.

On Monday, October 1st 2018, members of IWCs West Cairo met with IWCs District 95 Egypt & Jordan President Mrs. Dina Ghorab and her Honorary board members, Honorary Secretary Mrs. Azza Al-Mufti and vice president Mrs. Zaynab Al-Ghazali with the presence of the club’s Board Directors members, Mrs. Olivia Issa, Mrs. Fayza Farid, Mrs. Riri Qutb, Mrs. Suhair Issawi, Mrs. Fadia Badr El Din and other members of the club.

The Inner Wheel West Cairo Club was founded in 1981, it has 38 members, and it’s most sustainable and continuous projects that has been undertaking over the years are:

 

– Fostering two children in the Right to Live Association for special needs children.

 

– Fostering two children in Awlady Orphanage in Maadi.

 

– Assisting Nida Association for hearing impaired.

 

– Assisting Dialysis unit in Pediatrics Hospital – Ain Shams University.

 

– Help in taking care of children in Dar Al-Hana Orphanage in Mohandessin.

 

Projects in which the club participated in the past years are:

  1. The national project of the region year 2017-2018 Children without Shelter and Tahya Misr Fund.
  2. Donating to build 500500 Hospital for cancer patients in El-Sheikh Zayed, Giza.
  3. Renovating of the intensive care unit at Abassya Chest Diseases Hospital.
  4. Purchasing devices in the new Pediatrics Hospital in Ain Shams University
  5. Purchasing devices at Abu Al-Reish Children’s Hospital.
  6. Purchasing an ambulance for Ambulance Egyptian Authority.
  7. Renovating a number of (2) Sabils in Old Cairo.
  8. Many projects for The Right to Live Association for special needs children such as sewing workshops
  9. Participation in the establishment of housing in the association.
  10. Renovating the school Bemba Kadin Preparatory Boys School in Old Cairo.

And many other projects.

At the end of the meeting, Mrs. Suha Shams, the club president thanked the president of the region Mrs. Dina Ghorab, presented her with the club’s honorary shield with a bouquet of roses.

Inner Wheel Club of Philadelphia Deaf and Mute Project in As-Salt

The members of the Inner Wheel Club of Philadelphia handed over the club’s project of last year under the presidency of Mrs. Najwa Haddad for 2018/2017.

The project is providing advanced hearing devices for the Deaf and Mute serving 130 people with hearing disabilities at the center of Holy Land in As-Salt.

A great humanistic project. Thank you for your efforts Mrs. Najwa and the former board members of the club.

Quality Assurance Initiative for Rehabilitation and Education of Children with Multiple Disabilities

The Second Perkins School for the Blind – Nida Society for Rehabilitation Children with Hearing Disorders and Multi Disabilities, Deafblind training (protocol of cooperation between Nida and Perkins) was held to qualify workers in the field of rehabilitation of children with hearing disorders and multi disabilities, deafblind. A cooperation protocol with the Ministry of Social Solidarity for qualifying specialists from civil society organizations on the level of the Republic to learn how to deal with children with hearing disorders and multi disabilities, deafblind with focusing on children less than 6 years .. Photos shows the trainees practical experience on sensing the feeling of blind and the ability to communicate with others. Thank you Drosos Foundation for funding the initiative.

Inner Wheel Club of Alexandria Meeting on 5 November 2018

On Monday 5 November 2018, members of Inner Wheel Club of Alexandria had a special meeting, in which Mrs. Huda Abdel Hadi and Mrs. Salam Heno spoke to about the establishment of Inner Wheel Club of Alexandria and the principles, objectives of IWCs, how to join the club and who is the club’s delegate and her role, along with other important topics in the constitution of IWC. Mrs. Mona Ashour later spoke about the bazaar to be held on the 7th and 8th of December. The meeting was moderated by vice president Mrs. Samia Al-Bourini. It was a fruitful meeting which benefited all members of the club.

Inner Wheel Club Participates in the Opening Ceremony of a Rest House and a Plant Distillation Laboratory in Kufranjah City, Ajloun in North Jordan

On Saturday August 4th 2018, Mrs Zain Bergekly, president of Petra Club year 2018 and Mrs Ruba Abou Ghoush president of the Inner Wheel Club year 2017 participated in the opening of a Rest House and a Plant Distillation Laboratory in Kufranjah City, Ajloun in North Jordan.

The Inner Wheel Club donated to these projects through Princess Taghrid Institute for Development & Training as a part of the Inner Wheel Club contributions and donations for year 2017/2018.

The opening ceremony was held under the patronage of her Excellency Lina Enab Minister of Tourism in Jordon accompanied by Doctor Aghadeer Jweihan, general director of Princess Taghrid Institute for Development & Training. The local press has covered the opening ceremony for its importance to support tourism in Jordon.
