Elderly Care Project.

 Under the theme “Heartbeat of Humanity,” the Inner Wheel Club of Tanta,
led by Mrs. Amal Galal Ezzat and accompanied by Mrs. Ghada Rahmy, D95
Editor, along with several club members, visited Dar Al-Saada Elderly
Home in Tanta on Friday, December 13, 2024.

The delegation was warmly received by Mrs. Magda Karsoon, the home’s
director. The visit aimed to engage with the residents through a lively
gathering, fostering a sense of connection and camaraderie while
discussing their challenges and exploring potential solutions.

During the visit, a variety of Eastern and Western sweets and beverages,
generously provided by the club members, were distributed among the
residents. The team expressed their commitment to repeating such visits
periodically to continue spreading joy and warmth to the residents.

Health Care joint Seminar

In a successful and fruitful meeting filled with warmth, held at the
Holiday Inn Maadi Hotel, Inner Wheel Club Cairo South , led by Mrs.
Lotfia El Alaily and Honorary Secretary Samia El Reedy, in collaboration
with Inner Wheel Giza Ahram Club and Honorary Secretary Azza Dowidar,
along with Rotary Sarayat Maadi Club, chaired by Dr. Walaa Selim, hosted
Dr. Alaa Ragab, Professor of Rheumatology and Rehabilitation at Kasr Al
Ainy Faculty of Medicine.

Dr. Alaa gave an insightful talk about osteoporosis, the “disease of the
age” that affects people of all ages, discussing its complications and
treatment methods. She also answered all the questions posed by the
attendees. The talk was highly appreciated by the members for its
valuable and informative content, which greatly benefited everyone
present.

Emphasizing the Importance of Prevention and Early Detection

Under the theme “Heartbeat of Humanity,” the Inner Wheel Club of
Heliopolis, headed by Mrs. Enayat Saad El-Din, joined forces with the
Nasr City Club, headed by Ms. Jihan Fahim, El Shorouk Club, headed by
Ms. Mervat Shukry, and the Nile Club, headed by Ms. Monica, to organize
an impactful event. The gathering was honored by the presence of Mrs.
Awatif El-Nasharty, D95 Extension Chairman, along with members of the
Inner Wheel Club of Tanta.

We were also privileged to host two distinguished speakers: Dr. Amal
El-Sisi, Professor of Pediatrics at Cairo University, and Dr. Yasra
Lashin, Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology. The speakers provided
valuable insights into the causes and dangers of the virus that leads to
cervical cancer, its potential transmission to children during
pregnancy, and its risks for young people and women. They emphasized the
importance of vaccination as a preventive measure and stressed the need
for regular medical check-ups to ensure early detection. The speakers
further encouraged members to raise awareness within their families and
communities, highlighting that prevention and timely intervention can
save lives.

The meeting was filled with a spirit of love, warmth, and camaraderie,
enriched with vital information. The speakers thoughtfully addressed all
questions and concerns, leaving attendees well-informed and empowered to
take proactive steps toward health and awareness.

  Inner Wheel Club of Garden City, led by Didi Sourani and a group of
club members, visited the Marwa Elderly Home on Wednesday, December 17.
This initiative is part of the club’s sustainable projects, where they
provided a hot meal, warm woolen socks, and spent time with the
residents to create a familial atmosphere, alleviate their hardships,
bring joy and happiness to their hearts, and make them feel cared for
and appreciated.

Charitable Clothing Exhibition

On Monday, December 10, 2024, under the theme “Heartbeat of Humanity,”
Inner Wheel Club (IWE-C) of New Cairo, led by Ms. Lina Shaker joined
forces with IWC of Nasr City, headed by Mrs. Mona El-Gemaiee, and IWC of
Tahrir, headed by Mrs. Sahar Gadallah, to organize a charitable
exhibition of new and gently used clothing.

The event, held at the Faculty of Science, Ain Shams University, aimed
to support students and staff in need. It was inaugurated by Dr. Ghad
Farouk, Vice President of Ain Shams University, and Mrs. Hanaa El
Sadaat,District 95 Vice Chairman .The exhibition featured a wide range
of clothing and footwear at affordable prices, and all proceeds were
directed to the university’s Social Solidarity Fund to assist
underprivileged students.

On Thursday 19, December
 IWC of Damanhour participated in a special event marking the
International Day of Human Solidarity, held at the Royal Jewelry Museum
in Alexandria. The event included meaningful activities aimed at
supporting and empowering individuals with visual impairments,
featuring:
1. A seminar on various types of disabilities: Presented by Dr. Mohamed
El-Desouky, an expert in teaching methods for individuals with visual
impairments, highlighting strategies for addressing the challenges faced
by this group.
2. Recognition and financial support: Certificates of appreciation and
shields were awarded, along with a financial donation to purchase
stencil paper for 30 visually impaired children. Meals were also
distributed to visually impaired girls.
3. A seminar on teaching and training strategies: Delivered by Dr. Amira
Zaytoun, a lecturer in curricula and teaching methods at the Faculty of
Specific Education, Alexandria University, and a member of the
International Board of Certified Trainers. The seminar included an
interactive workshop with Inner Wheel members.

4. A guided tour of the museum: A group of visually impaired children
participated in a guided tour of the Royal Jewelry Palace, where they
explored the displayed artifacts through simplified explanations and
read descriptions of some models in Braille.Inner Wheel members
accompanied the girls during the tour, engaged in conversations, and
fostered a sense of interaction and solidarity.

The event was graced attended by Dr. Mervat El-Ezzouni, D95 Chairman and
Dr. Amel El-Ghitany El-Ghaitan D95 Webmaster.The initiative reflected a
strong spirit of community solidarity and emphasized the importance of
supporting and integrating individuals with visual impairments into
society.

On Monday, December 23, 2024, Inner Wheel Club of West Cairo , under the
leadership of Mrs. Nadia El Rashidi, Vice President Mrs. Olivia Reda,
Treasurer Dr. Zeinab El Ghazaly, and Organizer Mrs. Soheir Shams visited
the Al-Taarof Association for Elderly Care.

During the visit, the club presented a cheque to dedicate a room in the
name of Innerwheel West Cairo Club. An agreement was made to fully
renovate the room and equip it with the necessary devices, ensuring it
remains permanently associated with the club. The cheque was received by
Mrs. Nadia El Kateb, one of the association’s founders, in the presence
of several association members.

Additionally, the club donated an electric wheelchair to the home to
support its elderly residents. The administration expressed heartfelt
gratitude to the club members for their generosity and support.

On Monday, December 23, 2024, Innerwheel Club of Alexandria Sporting led
by Mrs. Amani Sleem, alongside Honorary Secretary Hala El-Ghitani,
Treasurer Ghada Fadel, and members Shahenda Sharaf El-Din, Heba Magdy,
and Randa Abdel-Aty, presented a cheque of 60,000 EGP to Safia Gamai
Association, headed by Engy Nasr El-Din, to support families of leprosy
patients. Additionally, a second cheque of 20,000 EGP was donated to
sponsor and care for orphans.

These contributions reflect the club’s ongoing commitment to sustainable
projects.
