A Charitable Initiative to Support Low-Income Workers .

Under the Inner Wheel theme this year, “Heartbeat of Humanity,” and
in an effort to alleviate the suffering of low-income workers at Al
Gezira Sporting Club in Zamalek, Inner Wheel  Club  of Gezira, led by
Dr. Asrar Al-Barki and club members Mrs. Suzy Naga and Mrs. Nihal El
Rafaie handed over a cheque worth thirty thousand Egyptian pounds to
“Gezira Al-Khair” at the club on Thursday, February 6th, to support and
assist underprivileged workers.

On Saturday, February 8th, under the theme “Heartbeat of Humanity”
Inner Wheel  Club of Giza Al-Ahram, led by Mrs. Iman Selim donated a
medical bed to a young girl from Fayoum with a mobility impairment.
Previously, the club had also provided her with a wheelchair and a
medical mattress, reaffirming its ongoing commitment to supporting
individuals with special needs in the community.

In line with its unwavering commitment to sustainable humanitarian
initiatives and under the inspiring theme “Heartbeat of Humanity,” the
Inner Wheel Club of Al Tahrir, led by Sahar Gadallah, made a profound
impact on February 6, 2024.

With a dedicated investment of EGP 58,500 (Fifty-Eight Thousand Five
Hundred Egyptian Pounds), the club provided prosthetic limbs to five
deserving individuals, granting them renewed mobility and independence.
Beyond physical assistance, the beneficiaries underwent comprehensive
training and rehabilitation, equipping them with the confidence and
skills needed to embrace a new chapter of self-reliance and dignity.

This noble initiative exemplifies the club’s enduring mission to
uplift lives, empower communities, and restore hope—one step at a
time.

“Cover and Warmth” campaign

“Cover and Warmth” campaign

Under the theme “Heartbeat of Humanity,” Inner Wheel Club of Lotus
Misr, led by President Maha Khairy, participated in the “Cover and
Warmth” campaign for the needy and severely disadvantaged families by
distributing 37 blankets and 26 quilts at a cost of 14,625 EGP.

In addition, the Club contributed through a donation from colleague Mona
Nasr by distributing 100 blankets to the Women’s Association for
Health Improvement for the elderly and orphans at a cost of 19,500 EGP.

Thus, the total contribution from Inner Wheel Lotus Misr Club in the
“Cover and Warmth” campaign amounted to 137 blankets and 26 quilts,
at a total cost of 34,125 EGP.

Medical Seminar

Medical Seminar

Under the theme “Heartbeat of Humanity” and in alignment with the core
objectives of the International Inner Wheel President for the year
2024/2025 —particularly the prevention of cervical cancer—and
coinciding with World Cancer Day in February, the Inner Wheel Club of
Alexandria, led by Mrs. Mona El Hakim organized an insightful seminar on
Monday, February 3, 2025, at the Syrian Club.

The event featured a distinguished guest speaker, Dr. Mahmoud Hamdy,
Consultant and Lecturer in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Faculty of
Medicine, Alexandria University. His presentation covered essential
topics related to breast tumors and cervical cancer, emphasizing
preventive measures. The session proved highly beneficial to attendees,
offering them valuable medical insights.

The interactive discussions between Dr. Hamdy and the club members
enriched the seminar, making it even more impactful. The event was
graced by the presence of Dr. Mervat El Azzouni, Vice Chairman of
District 95 (Egypt & Jordan), and Dr. Amel El Ghitany, District 95
Webmaster.

The seminar was a resounding success, providing attendees with
invaluable medical knowledge in an engaging and informative atmosphere.

Under the theme, “ Heartbeat of Humanity,”  Inner Wheel Club  of
Alexandria Mediterranean , led by Heba Abu Al-Nasr and driven by its
members’ belief in every person’s right to access clean drinking
water, signed a cooperation protocol with the Alexandria Drinking Water
Company. This initiative aims to install 15 drinking water connections
in the most underprivileged areas at a total cost of 75,000 EGP.

Child Health Care Project

Child Health Care Project

Under the theme ” Heartbeat of Humanity,”  Inner Wheel  Club of
Alexandria El Nozha , led by Mrs. Heba El Kady presented a check on
February 3rd to the Alexandria Center for Pediatric Eye Surgery at the
Faculty of Medicine. The donation will be used to purchase medical
eyeglasses for infants suffering from cataracts.

In alignment with the theme “Heartbeat of Humanity,” the Inner Wheel
Club (IWC) of New Cairo, under the leadership of Miss Lina Shaker,
continues to prioritize the welfare of orphans and young individuals
with special needs. The club actively provides educational opportunities
and fosters their integration into society.

As part of its third initiative this year, IWC New Cairo organized a
cultural and entertainment excursion for 15 students from the Charitable
Society for Child Welfare for Orphans. The students attended a
performance of “Fares Yakshef El Mastour” by the renowned Mohamed
Sobhi—a play that blends purposeful comedy with themes of education
and patriotism, particularly for younger generations.

Following the performance, Mohamed Sobhi engaged with the students,
taking commemorative photos and sharing moments that made their
first-ever theater experience even more memorable. Meeting such an
iconic figure in Egyptian contemporary theater was an unforgettable
highlight for the children.

The event was attended by Mrs. Nihal ElBakry, IWC New Cairo PP and
former Vice NR of District 95, Mrs. Manuela Al-Wakeel, a member of IWC
New Cairo, and Mrs. Maha Ragab, a member of IWC Sharm El-Sheikh. As the
Charitable Society for Child Welfare is a sustainable project of IWC
Sharm El-Sheikh, IWC New Cairo distributed toys and sweets to the
students, promising a follow-up gathering in the near future.

This initiative exemplifies IWC New Cairo’s ongoing commitment to
empowering young individuals and enriching their lives through
education, culture, and community engagement.

Under the theme “Heartbeat of Humanity,” some members of the Inner Wheel
Club of Sharm El-Sheikh, led by Mrs. Nazek Faeq visited the Charitable
Association for Child Welfare. During the visit, they delivered in-kind
donations provided by the club based on the needs of the children’s
home, including clothing, shoes, and bed sheets. Additionally, the club
donated 50,000 EGP to help purchase goods for resale in the charity-run
shops, aiming to generate funds to cover the association’s daily
expenses.

The ladies of the club spent time with the children, engaging in various
activities that brought joy to everyone. They also pledged to continue
supporting the association, as it is one of their sustainable projects,
and are already planning another visit to the home soon.

“Beauty and Hope”: A Special Evening Celebrating Inclusion and Creativity

On Thursday, January 23, 2025, Inner Wheel Club of Damanhour, in
collaboration with the Honorary Italian Consulate in Alexandria M.s
Mario De Parquale and the “Donetna” Association for the Blind, hosted an
inspiring evening titled “Beauty and Hope.” The event brought together
key figures and supporters, including Dr. Mervat El-Azouni, Vice
Chairman of District 95 Egypt and Jordan, and Dr. Amel El-Ghaitany,  D95
Webmaster , to celebrate the talents and resilience of the visually
impaired community.

Highlights of the Evening

Welcome Address by Italian Consul Mario De Pasquale

The consul warmly welcomed attendees and expressed his commitment to
supporting the visually impaired.

He emphasized the importance of accessibility in all areas of life,
advocating for inclusive initiatives.

Speech by Dr. Amel El-Ghitany

As a consultant in neurology and psychiatry, Dr. El-Ghitany discussed
the mental health needs of people with disabilities.

She focused on empowering them to achieve independence and integrate
fully into society.

Presentation by Mr s. Hanan Hashish

Chairperson of the “Donetna” Association for the Blind, Ms. Hashish
shared the association’s mission and impact.

She highlighted their training programs, which equip members with skills
to lead fulfilling and independent lives.

Artistic Performance

The association’s music team delivered an emotional and uplifting
performance under the guidance of their trainer, Ms. Noha Alaa El-Din.

The evening concluded with a tour of an exhibition featuring exquisite
handmade products crafted by visually impaired artisans. Guests
expressed admiration for the precision and vibrant beauty of the pieces,
showcasing the remarkable creativity and talent of the contributors.
