Support the Faculty of Agriculture

On Thursday, January 9, 2025, under the theme “Heartbeat of Humanity,”
Inner Wheel Club of Tanta, led by Mrs. Amal Galal Ezzat, along with Mrs.
Ghada Rahmy, the District 95 editor, and several club members visited
the Faculty of Agriculture in Tanta.

During the visit, the club presented a number of Qurans as a gift to the
faculty mosque and also donated a pesticide spraying machine for crops,
generously contributed by one of the club members.

Donation for cancer patients

Donation for cancer patients

In accordance with the protocol signed between the Cancer Patients
Association and  Inner Wheel Club of Alexandria Sporting, on Wednesday,
January 22, the President of the Club, Mrs. Amani Selim, the Honorary
Secretary, Mrs. Hala El-Ghitani, and the Treasurer, Mrs. Ghada Fadel
handed over a cheque for 175,000 EGP to the Cancer Patients Association
to purchase chemotherapy and targeted treatments for patients who are
unable to afford them.

The presentation was attended by the Head of the Oncology Department at
El-Mehry Hospital, the President of the Cancer Patients Association, and
a number of specialized doctors.

Supports Gaza under the Theme “Heartbeat of Humanity”

On January 23, 2025, under the theme “Heartbeat of Humanity,” the Inner
Wheel Club of Alexandria Cleopatra, led by Mrs. Soheir Fahmy and
Honorary Secretary Duaa Hamdy donated 65 blankets to the Egyptian Red
Crescent in Alexandria for the benefit of our people in Gaza, Palestine

The donation was received by Mrs. Nahla Mohamed Yousef, the General
Manager of the Egyptian Red Crescent, who expressed her gratitude to the
club. An agreement was made to provide the Red Crescent with essential
supplies such as canned food and juices in the near future.

May God grant victory to Palestine and its people.

Under the theme ” Heartbeat of Humanity,”  Inner Wheel Club of
Heliopolis , led by Mrs. Ennayat Saad ElDin, with Ms. Nagwa Anwar
(Treasurer) and Ameria Yehia (Honorary Secretary) visited the Ahl Masr
Burn Hospital on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, and donated 40,000 EGP

It was a pleasure to visit this distinguished medical institution,
designed to the highest architectural standards, serving burn victims
from the moment of arrival, through treatment, and until
recovery—offering free care to people of all ages and backgrounds. We
are proud to continue our donations to this great humanitarian cause, as
it is one of the sustainable projects of  Inner Wheel Club of Heliopolis.

The Inner Wheel Mediterranean Club, led by Heba Abul Nasr, carried out
one of its sustainable projects by distributing blankets at the Canal
Martyrs Association for Community Development to protect against the
harsh winter cold. This initiative reflects the club’s commitment to
helping less fortunate communities and making a positive impact.

Seminar on Women in the Diplomatic Field

 Seminar on Women in the Diplomatic Field

On Monday, January 20, 2025, the Inner Wheel Club (IWC) of Alexandria,
led by Ms. Mona El Hakim hosted Counselor Abeer Ali, Consul General of
Lebanon in Alexandria, for a seminar titled “Women in the Diplomatic
Field.”

The event was attended by Vice Chairman Dr. Mervat El Azzouni, Webmaster
Dr. Amel El Ghitany, District Past Chairman Mrs. Mona Aref, along with
the presidents and members of the Inner Wheel clubs of Alexandria and
distinguished guests.

Counselor Abeer Ali shared her extensive experience and insightful
perspectives on the evolving role of women in international relations.
Her presentation covered key topics, including:

The historical challenges women have faced in the diplomatic field.

The value of women’s perspectives in decision-making and
peace-building processes.

Effective strategies used by women to overcome barriers in diplomacy.

An engaging discussion followed, addressing the challenges faced by
female diplomats, their advocacy for women’s issues, and their
contributions to promoting gender equality in diplomatic roles. The
session also highlighted progress made toward achieving gender parity in
this field.

In a gesture of appreciation, each club president presented their
club’s flag to Counselor Abeer Ali. The event concluded with group
photos, celebrating the occasion in an atmosphere of friendship,
collaboration, and mutual respect.

Book Club Meeting(Cultural Seminar)

Book Club Meeting(Cultural Seminar)

On Sunday, January 19, 2025, the third book club meeting for the
2024-2025 year was held under the theme “Heartbeat of Humanity.””
This event was organized by  Inner Wheel Club (IWC) of New Cairo, led by
Miss Lina Shaker, in collaboration with the IWC of Nasr City, under the
leadership of Mrs. Jihan Fahim.

The meeting featured renowned writer and consultant Ashraf El Ashmawy,
who discussed his novella Births of the Zoo.” This unique literary work
comprises three short novellas that address pressing societal issues
such as corruption, unemployment, and nepotism. Through his
thought-provoking storytelling, the author uses literature as a lens to
expose the harsh realities and complexities of these challenges.

The event was honored by the presence of several distinguished guests,
including Mrs. Omnia Hanna, the Honorary Secretary of District 95; Mrs.
Siham Al-Gohary, a former member of the Inner Wheel International Board
of Directors; Mrs. Dina Nashed, Past Assistant Governor of Rotary; Dr.
Hassan Shaker, Past President; and Mr. Hilmy Al-Saeed, Past President of
the Nasr City Rotary Club. Several Rotary Club members also attended,
enriching the event with their engagement.

During the meeting, Ms. Lina Shaker, President of the New Cairo Club,
along with Mrs. Siham Al-Gohary and Mrs. Nihal Elbakry presented Mrs.
Manuel El-Wakeel with the Inner Wheel pin, officially welcoming her as a
member of the New Cairo Club.

To commemorate the occasion, a symbolic gift was presented to Ashraf El
Ashmawy, and special gifts were distributed to all attendees in
celebration of the book club’s ten-year anniversary, marking its
establishment in 2015. The event concluded with a shared sense of
camaraderie, inspiration, and a commitment to fostering dialogue through
literature.

Environment sustainability project

Environment sustainability project
Cost 105,000 EGP

Among this year’s environmental projects, under the slogan
“HEARTBEAT of Humanity”  Inner Wheel  Club of Lotus Misr, headed by
Maha Khairy, along with the club’s foundation Nazek El-Alfi, visited
the National Foundation for Family and Community Development in the
Al-Asmarat neighborhood of Al-Mokattam to inspect the rooftop farming
project. The project engineer harvested 200 lettuce and cabbage
seedlings, along with some arugula, and 110 kilograms of tomatoes were
also harvested. The entire yield was distributed to institutions and
needy families in Al-Asmarat.

The onion crop will be harvested in mid-March, and a new planting phase
will commence in the latter half of March.

Bonds of Friendship and Sisterhood

Under this year’s Inner Wheel theme, “Heartbeat of Humanity,” Inner
Wheel Club of Giza Pyramids, led by Mrs. Eman Saleem and Honorary
Secretary Mrs. Azza Dowidar organized a delightful recreational trip to
El Gouna resort in the Red Sea Governorate from January 13 to 16. The
trip aimed to showcase the beauty of Egypt’s stunning tourist
destinations.

The event was graced by the presence of Mrs. Abeer Dajani,Chairman of
District 95 Egypt and Jordan, along with members from various Inner
Wheel clubs across Egypt and Jordan.

The trip was marked by an atmosphere of warmth, love, and camaraderie.
Members enjoyed the tranquil beauty of the Red Sea, its crystal-clear
waters, and breathtaking surroundings. This memorable gathering offered
a unique opportunity to strengthen the bonds of friendship and
sisterhood, perfectly reflecting the true spirit and mission of the
Inner Wheel.

Supporting Elderly Alzheimer’s Patients Through Art Therapy

Supporting Elderly Alzheimer’s Patients Through Art Therapy:

Under the theme“ Heartbeat of Humanity,” on Tuesday, January 21,
Inner Wheel Club of Nasr City, headed by Mrs. Gihan Faheem and
accompanied by several club members attended a seminar on art therapy
for Alzheimer’s patients at the Al-Baqiyat Al-Salihat Association for
the Elderly and Alzheimer’s patients, founded by the late Dr. Abla
Al-Kahlawi, and currently managed by Dr. Marwa Yassin and Dr. Rodina
Yassin, the daughters of Dr. Abla.

The association hosted a number of speakers who emphasized that art
therapy helps to develop a greater sense of self-awareness through
creative expression. They explained how artistic activities play an
effective role in adapting to daily life, aiding in memory recall, and
enhancing focus and attention on the required artistic activity.

They also highlighted that advanced age can still be a time for
creativity, citing numerous examples of public figures, both globally
and in the Arab world, who maintained a high level of focus until the
end of their lives.

After the seminar, the members of the club viewed some of the artwork
created by the residents of the association. Additionally, a donation of
30,000 Egyptian pounds was made by the club to support charitable
activities for the residents of the association.
