ART INITIATIVE.

On Tuesday, February 18, 2025, IWC of Alexandria Capital  under the
theme “Heartbeat of Humanity,” the club members, led by Prof. Dr. Susan
Darwish and Honorary Secretary Dr. Ola Ewais participated in the first
session of the Psychological Support through Arts Initiative.

Titled “You Are Not Alone,” this session was presented by Dr. Eng. Manal
Aliwa, a:

Consultant in Art Therapy

Egyptian Delegate to the World Health Organization for the International
Initiative for Childhood Cancer

Founder of the first integrated psychological treatment program, “Art to
Care,” which focuses on art therapy, psychological, and social
rehabilitation.

The session was rich in information, methods, and therapeutic
approaches.

Additional sessions will follow in the coming months, ensuring broader
benefits for all.

Cultural Seminar

Under the theme “Heartbeat of Humanity,” the Inner Wheel Club of
Alexandria Mediterranean, led by Heba Aboul Nasr, hosted an esteemed
guest—screenwriter, writer, and poet Dr. Medhat El-Adl. The event
featured an engaging and inspiring dialogue session that captivated all
attendees.

Dr. El-Adl answered audience questions and recited several of his poems,
known for their simplicity and spontaneity. The seminar saw strong
participation from the club and other Inner Wheel clubs, fostering a
spirit of camaraderie and cultural exchange.

The event was organized and moderated by Dr. Viola Ramses, the club’s
founder, and attended by Dr. Mervat El-Azouni, Vice President of the
region; Magda Salam, President of Inner Wheel East; Suzanne Darwish,
President of Inner Wheel Capital; and Soheir Fahmy, President of Inner
Wheel Cleopatra.

Providing clean drinking water for underprivileged

Under the theme “Heartbeat of Humanity,”as a part of its ongoing efforts
to serve the community, Inner Wheel  Club of Ismailia, led by Mrs. Lola
Badran, and in the presence of Treasurer Magda Ali and member Nahla
Al-Attar, followed up on the implementation of the club’s project to
provide drinking water to seven homes of low-income families in Ezbet
El-Kilo 11, Ismailia Governorate.

This project reflects the club’s commitment to supporting those in
need and improving the quality of life, in line with its humanitarian
mission of giving and solidarity.

Inspiring night of Sevice and donation work

Under the theme “Heartbeat of Humanity”
The members of the IWC Club of Alexandria Capital, led by Dr. Suzan
Darwish and Honorary Secretary Dr. Ola Ewais had the honor of hosting
Professor Dr. Nihal Elshakankiri, Professor of Ophthalmology, at the
Syrian Club for a special symposium on the Pediatric Eye Unit at the
Faculty of Medicine, Alexandria University.

Dr. Elshakankiri shared the inspiring journey of establishing and
developing the unit, which has thrived through donations and volunteer
work. Over the past 30 years, the center has performed more than 30,000
free surgeries, providing critical eye care to children across Egypt,
Sudan, and numerous African nations.

Following the symposium, the club president had the pleasure of awarding
the Inner Wheel pin to our newest member, Dr. Manale Elewah, welcoming
her into our community.

We also took the opportunity to celebrate the birthday of our dear
friend Shahira Farouk, enjoying a warm and joyful gathering filled with
camaraderie and love.

Purchasing essential medical supplies

On February 24, 2025, Dr. Hossam Salah, Dean of Kasr Al-Ainy Faculty of
Medicine, welcomed a delegation from Inner Wheel Club of Gezira Sports
at his private office. The meeting was attended by Dr. Noha Shaheen,
Director of Al-Manial Qebly Hospital, along with several of her
assistants.

The delegation was represented by Club President Dr. Asrar Al-Borqi and
members Mrs. Suzy Naga and Nihal Al-Rafei. The visit aimed to offer a
quantity of high-quality new shirts and gently used clothing in good
condition for the 11th annual charity exhibition held at Al-Manial Qebly
Hospital.

The exhibition seeks to support hospital employees and workers with
lower incomes by offering various items at symbolic prices. The proceeds
will be allocated to purchasing essential medical supplies for the
hospital.

Through this initiative, Inner Wheel  Club of Gezira remains committed
to fulfilling this year’s theme, “Heartbeat of Humanity,” while also
upholding its ongoing mission to provide assistance wherever needed as
part of its community development efforts.

Inner Wheel Club of Sphinx Hosts Second Charity Bazaar to Support
Students in Need

Under the theme of the year “Heartbeat of Humanity,” Inner Wheel
Club of Sphinx, headed by Mrs. Enas Megahed held its second charity
clothing bazaar of the year on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at the Faculty
of Music Education in Zamalek. The event aimed to support students
unable to pay their school fees, with a total donation amounting to
20,000 Egyptian pounds.

In addition to clothing, the bazaar also offered Mother’s Day gifts.
Continuing a cherished tradition, Club President Mrs. Enas Megahed
honored an outstanding student by presenting a special gift to her
mother in celebration of Mother’s Day.

The bazaar was further enriched by the participation of students from
the college’s student union, who contributed to its organization.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who played a role in making this event
a success!

On February 24, the Inner Wheel Club CLUB OF Alexandria El-Nozha, headed
by Mrs. Heba El-Kady donated a check to the “koloub Mothmera”
Association for the Blind and Their Families to support the initiative
of feeding fasting individuals during Ramadan.

Under the theme “Heartbeat of Humanity,” the Inner Wheel Club of Al
Tahrir, led by Sahar Gadallah, along with Vice President Gehanne Halawa,
Past Presidents Fatma Barrada and Souad El-Gredly, and Club Delegate
Lamia Fawzy, visited Masr El Mahrousa Balady Association to support
families in need.

During the visit, the club distributed Ramadan bags to 60 of the most
vulnerable families, who are the sole providers for their orphaned
children. Each bag contained essential food supplies and chicken to help
sustain them during the holy month.

The mothers expressed immense gratitude for the visit, which left a
profound impact and further inspired the club to continue its mission of
kindness and generosity.

Pure Water: The Essence of Life

Pure Water: The Essence of Life

As part of ongoing efforts to uplift vulnerable communities and enhance
essential infrastructure in Beheira Governorate, a cooperation agreement
was signed on February 23, 2025, between the Beheira Drinking Water and
Sanitation Company and the Inner Wheel Clubs of District 95 (Egypt and
Jordan). The ceremony was honored by the presence of Dr. Jacqueline
Azer, Governor of Beheira, Eng. Mamdouh Raslan, Chairman of the Holding
Company for Drinking Water and Sanitation, and Mrs. Hanaa El-Sadat, Vice
Chairman of Inner Wheel District 95 Egypt and Jordan.

This landmark agreement is set to provide clean drinking water to 203
underprivileged families in Abu Hamad and Damanhur, with an estimated
total investment of 1,015,000 Egyptian pounds. The agreement was
formally signed by Eng. Mohamed Nashat, Chairman of the Beheira Drinking
Water and Sanitation Company, and Mrs. Maha Khairy, President of the
Inner Wheel Club of Lotus, in the presence of distinguished Inner Wheel
Club presidents and members.

Dr. Jacqueline Azer welcomed the attendees, commending the invaluable
contributions of Inner Wheel Clubs in fostering sustainable development
and improving essential services, particularly in delivering clean
drinking water to those in dire need. Eng. Mamdouh Raslan reaffirmed the
Holding Company’s steadfast commitment to initiatives that elevate the
quality of life for citizens, expressing gratitude for the fruitful
partnership with Inner Wheel Clubs.

In a further stride toward comprehensive community support, members of
the Inner Wheel Clubs announced that a portion of the funding will be
allocated to sanitation projects, ensuring a holistic system of
essential services.

As a gesture of appreciation, commemorative shields were presented to
Dr. Jacqueline Azer, Eng. Mamdouh Raslan, Eng. Mohamed Nashat, and Mrs.
Abeer Dajani, Chairman of Inner Wheel District 95 Egypt and Jordan, in
recognition of their unwavering dedication to this noble cause.
