Under the inspiring theme “Heartbeat of Humanity,” the Inner Wheel Club of East Alexandria embraced the spirit of compassion and inclusion by celebrating Orphans’ Day with a heartfelt visit to El Hayaa Lilgamee Association for Intellectual Disabilities and Orphans.
On Sunday, March 23, 2025, Club President Mrs. Magda Sallam, alongside Club Secretary Nevine Shehayeb and Treasurer Jailan Mokhtar, spent a memorable evening with 30 resident children—young souls who have called this home their refuge since early childhood, having no other shelter.
This visit, held during April’s Orphans’ Month, aimed to uplift spirits and bring warmth to the children’s hearts. As part of this meaningful initiative, club members shared a special Ramadan Iftar with the children, fostering a deep sense of love, care, and belonging.
The evening came alive with music, dancing, and heartfelt laughter, as the children embraced the celebration with pure joy, expressing their happiness in the most touching ways.
This act of kindness left a lasting impact, reinforcing the club’s unwavering commitment to nurturing hope, spreading joy, and making a difference in the lives of those who need it most.
Under the theme ” – The Heartbeat of Humanity,” Inner Wheel Alexandria Mediterranean, led by Heba Abou El-Nasr, distributed complete Eid outfits and shoes to the children of the Social Care Home in Quesna, Monufia Governorate.
This initiative reflects the club’s commitment to reaching the most underserved areas, which are often overlooked by civil society and rarely receive aid. During the visit, the children, overwhelmed with joy over their new Eid clothes, curiously asked, “What is Inner Wheel? What does it do? What does this emblem mean?”
Amid their excitement, they expressed their gratitude and made a heartfelt request: “Please don’t forget us—come back again!”
In an atmosphere of joy and warmth, Dar Al Yasmin, affiliated with Inner Wheel Club of Cairo – hosted special celebrations for Mother’s Day, coinciding with the holy month of Ramadan.
On March 22, the Golden Years group, dedicated to organizing activities for the elderly, arranged a Mother’s Day celebration, featuring various activities and gifts that brought happiness and delight to the residents of the home.
This was followed by a group iftar on March 25, also organized by the Golden Years group, and concluded with a beautiful musical performance by the Golden Years choir, adding a touch of harmony and joy to the occasion.
The event was attended by the esteemed residents of the home and members of the Golden Years group, led by Mrs. Dina Hashish.
