Providing Clean Water to Underprivileged Families

Under this year’s theme, ” Heartbeat of Humanity,” Inner wheel Club of
Alexandria Cleopatra, led by President Sohair Fahmy and Honorary
Secretary Doaa Hamdy, organized a meaningful visit to the Alexandria
Drinking Water Company on February 16, 2025, accompanied by several club
members.

The delegation was warmly welcomed by Eng. Ahmed Gaber, Chairman and
Managing Director of Alexandria Drinking Water Company.

During the visit, a cooperation protocol was signed between Alexandria
Drinking Water Company, represented by Eng. Ahmed Gaber and Inner Wheel
Club of Alexandria Cleopatra, represented by Sohair Fahmy. The agreement
focuses on community engagement, providing water connections to
impoverished areas and families, raising awareness about water
conservation, and supporting community development through improved
access to clean drinking water.

The visit was highly successful, with Eng. Ahmed Gaber expressing his
gratitude for the club’s generous contribution of eight water
connections worth 40,000 EGP.

This initiative followed a field study in the Abis area on the outskirts
of Alexandria, where eight of the most vulnerable households were
identified to receive access to clean water.
