IW Of Mansoura Club – “Friends of Bright Tomorrow” Association visit

IW Of Mansoura Club.

On February 17, 2024, Mrs. Shadia Al-Ashry, President of the Inner Wheel Club of Mansoura, along with several female members, joined a visit to the “Friends of Bright Tomorrow” Association for people with special needs.

The visit was part of a delegation led by Mrs. Mona Abu Al-Futouh, D95/ chairman along with board members, regional heads, former national delegates, and Inner Wheel club members.

The event was organized by the Inner Wheel Clubs of Nasr City and New Cairo, under the leadership of Ms. Sherine Arafa and Nihal El-Bakry.

The delegation was warmly welcomed by Mrs. Shahnaz Hashem, Chairman of the Association’s Board of Directors and a member of Inner Wheel Nasr City, and Mrs. Siham El Gohary, the founder Nasr City IW Club.

During the visit, Mrs. Shadia Al-Ashry presented a donation check of 10,000 pounds on behalf of the Mansoura Club to the association.

Mrs. Mona Abu Al-Futouh inaugurated the workshops, including the paper recycling workshop, Al-Fursan’s Garden, the carpentry workshop, the thermal printing workshop, and the tree planting project, in the presence of all Inner Wheel members. Attendees also explored the association’s products exhibition, purchasing items noted for their quality, beauty, and craftsmanship. As a special gesture, Mrs. Shahnaz Hashem presented souvenirs to all members crafted by the association’s workshop.

The day was filled with beautiful, purposeful activities, providing a positive and energizing experience for all participants, fostering a spirit of goodwill and generosity.

On Monday, February 17, 2024, a prominent delegation led by Mrs. Mona Abu Al-Futouh, D95 chairman, Mrs. Omnia Hanna, Honorary Secretary Mrs. Nora Fayk, Past District chairman, Mrs. Ghada Rahmy, Editor, and other esteemed guests visited the ‘Friends of Bright Tomorrow Association, to inaugurate the association’s various club projects. The event was organized by the IWC of Nasr City, under the leadership of Mrs. Sherine Arafa, and the IWC of New Cairo, led by Mrs. Nihal ElBakry, to celebrate the success of these projects and reaffirm District 95’s and its clubs’ commitment to sustainable development.

The delegation was warmly welcomed by Mrs. Shahnaz, the Chairman of the Association’s Board of Directors, and the esteemed Mrs. Siham El Gohary, the founder of IWC of Nasr City. Past NR Mrs. Afaf Maged, Past IIW Board Directors Mrs. Ashnadelle Hilmy, Past chairman Mrs. Zinab El Ghazaly and Mrs. Awatef El Nasharty, as well as the Presidents of IW Clubs involved in the renovations of the Paper Recycling Workshop, alongside members from IW clubs.

Mrs. Mona Aboul Fotouh inaugurated the workshops.

The inauguration highlighted several impactful projects:

  1. The Paper Recycling Workshop, upgraded by 12 IWCs after a generous donation from the Nasr City Club, to promote sustainable practices.
  2. The Al-Fursan Garden, a significant contribution from the New Cairo Club, serving as an agricultural training facility for students at Dormies in the association, aiming to impart practical knowledge in agriculture and sustainability practices.
  3. The Carpenter Workshop, established through a generous contribution from the Nasr City Club, providing a platform for carpentry and woodworking projects, offering valuable skills training and creative opportunities for the local community.
  4. The Thermal Printing Workshop, donated by the New Cairo Club, enabling young people to develop computer skills and learn modern printing programs, facilitating printing on various items such as gift boxes, plastic bags, cups, T-shirts, backpacks, and handbags, as well as banners for goods, plastic products, textiles, fabric, bags, and school accessories.
  5. The “Plant a Tree” Project, a joint initiative between the IWCs of Nasr City and New Cairo, successfully planting ten fruit trees to promote environmental sustainability, showcasing the positive impact of community engagement in achieving common goals and enhancing surrounding communities.

The day was filled with joy and appreciation among the members of the participating clubs, and Mrs. Shahinaz presented gracious souvenirs to all attendees from the association’s workshop production

Under the slogan “Shine a Light,” on Saturday, February 17,2024 the District95

, Egypt&Jordan, Chairman Mrs. Mona Abu El Fettouh, paid a visit to the “Bright Tomorrow Association” for Special Needs. accompanied by members of the Executive Committee, Presidents and members of different clubs.

The association was established in 1989and inaugurated in 1997.

It provides services for all types of mental disability and dual mental& motor disabilities. The center includes several departments such as:

Department of Education and capacity Development, Department of Education and Literacy Eradication – Department of General Capacity Development – Department of Vocational Rehabilitation – The Production Qualification Department includes several workshops (carpets and kilims – printing – embroidery – bamboo – wax – ceramics – decorations – accessories

The wood workshop is founded by the Innerwheel Club of Nasr City, The thermal printing workshop was established by the Inner Wheel Club of New Cairo. In addition to the Al-Fursan Garden, which aims to train resident students .

Contributed in the environmental projects, including the paper recycling workshop.Fourteen IWC’s were involved in the co-development process of this workshop :

At the end of the visit Memorial photos were taken, the District Chairman and Mrs. Shahinaz Hashem the president of the association, a member of IWC of Nasr City and a winner of the Margarette Golding Award, and with all the presidents and members who attend this outstanding visit.

IW Of LOTUS CLUB – collaboration with the Awladna Association for special needs

IW Of LOTUS CLUB.

After a training workshop held on February 9, the Lotus IW Club collaborated with the Awladna Association for special needs and our colleague Soheir Abdulkader. The club received 150 flowers which were arranged in napkins and donated for Valentine’s Day. This effort aimed to raise awareness about the contributions of children with special needs. President of IW Lotus Club, Maha Khairy, along with some members, attended this collaboration.

IW Of Alexandria Capital Club- social care home for homeless children donation

IW Of Alexandria Capital Club.

On Saturday, the 24th of February, 2024, the IWC of Alexandria Capital members, led by Dr. Nevine Abdel Rassoul and Honorary Secretary Dr. Ola Owais, donated a television and a receiver to the social care home for homeless children in the presence of Mrs. Heba El Chamy.

They installed and operated the TV in the living room before the holy month of Ramadan to enable the children to watch various programs. Additionally, they donated quantities of fresh meat, heva, sesame paste (tahini), and molasses for the children’s food. The house was also inspected, and efforts to enhance the growth of vegetables and fruits were made. Ramadan Kareem!

Mrs. Mona Abu Al-Futouh, President of Region 95 Egypt and Jordan, accompanied by a number of members of the esteemed Executive Council and several presidents and members of the clubs , visited the (Al-Ghad Al-Mashreq) Association for Special Categories, in the presence of Mrs. Sharinaz Hashem, Chairman of the Board of Directors, on Friday.

Some members of the Innerwell Tanta Club participated in this visit to scout the association’s optical activities, especially the paper mathematician’s workshop, which is considered an example of how collective work should be done. The number of participating clubs reached 12 clubs, next to the Forsan Garden, the printing workshop, and the greenhouse section between the Nasr City Club and New Cairo.

Note that his sons do their own work in the production departments

Honouring Celebration of Mrs. Nevine El Ibrashi.

Mrs. Nivine is a member of Zamalek Club & a Member of “Kheir w Baraka Charity Fondation”She received the Margarette golding award in recognition of her honorable role model in leading outstanding performance in Community Services.

The Celebration was held in the El Asmarat Integrated Community Service Complex in Asmarrat District and was attended by Innerwheel Zamalek member’s together with “Kheir w Baraka Charity Foundation” Board member’s renowned as one of the top innovative charity institutions in building new communities in underprivileged areas using pedagogical learning systems in running Role Model

Children’s Nurseries where both kids & mom’s are getting top of the line care based on ” Health Development & Safety “.

Lectures are dedicated to educate young mothers in fertility period to learn fighting against Dwarfism as one of the worst diseases spreading in poor communities to raise awareness and eliminate it’s future existence . All attendees took a very interesting Tour in the Asmarat District Model Nurseries and together admired the top of the line management of Kheir w Baraka Charity Fondation

Dr. Eman Shafshak and honorary secretary Shadia El-Derini organized a charity concert on Valentine’s Day through the Innerwheel Alexandria Mediterranean Club to support the Borg El Arab Children’s Cancer Hospital. Various notable individuals attended the event, including Mrs. Mona Abu Al-Futouh, Dr. Viola Ramsis, Mrs. Omnia Hanna, Mrs. Reem Nazia, Mrs. Ghada Rahmi, Mrs. Mona Aref, Mrs. Maha Sorour, Mrs. Mai Ali, Mrs. Nevin Abdel Rasoul, Mrs. Sohair Fahmy, Mrs. Amal Ezzat, Mrs. Ghada Karaweya, and many more from different Innerwheel clubs. The ceremony also included the awarding of Innerwheel badges to honorary members Mrs. Hoda Sorour and Mrs. Lucy Ramsis, and the induction of new members Mrs. Mimi Francis, Mrs. Silvana Croce, and Mrs. Hala Grace from the Innerwheel Cleopatra Club. The concert featured performances by Wael Kamal, Peter and Sarah, and DJ Mohamed Fouad on February 10, 2024, at the Royal Hall in Alexandria. Additionally, a charity bazaar, a tumbla, and the distribution of valuable gifts took place during the event.
