IW Of New Cairo Club – Friends of Bright Tomorrow Association visit

On Monday, February 17, 2024, a distinguished delegation, Headed by Mrs.
Mona Abu Al-Futouh, Chairman of D95 (Egypt and Jordan), Mrs. Omnia
Hanna, Honorary Secretary of D95, Mrs. Nora Fayk, Past Chairman of D95,
Mrs. Ghada Rahmy, Editor of D95, and various other esteemed guests,
visited the ‘Friends of Bright Tomorrow Association’ under the theme
“Shine a Light” to inaugurate the association’s various club projects.
The IWC of Nasr City, led by Mrs. Sherine Arafa, and the IWC of New
Cairo, led by Mrs. Nihal ElBakry, organized this event to celebrate the
success of these projects and reaffirm the commitment of District 95 and
its clubs to sustainable development.

The delegation received a warm welcome from Mrs. Shahnaz, the Chairman
of the Association’s Board of Directors, and the esteemed Mrs. Siham
El Gohary, the founder of IWC of Nasr City and Past IIW Board of
Director. The event was honored by the presence of distinguished
individuals, including Past NR Mrs. Afaf Maged, Past IIW Board of
Director Mrs. Ashnadelle Hilmy, Past Chairmen Mrs. Zinab El Ghazaly and
Past Chairmen Mrs. Awatef El Nasharty, as well as the Presidents of IW
Clubs that participated in the renovations of the Paper Recycling
Workshop, along with members from IWC.
Mrs. Shahnaz then introduced Mrs. Mona Aboul Fotouh to open the
workshops.

The inauguration showcased several impactful projects:

1- The Paper Recycling Workshop, generously donated by the Nasr City
Club, was modernized and developed by 12 IWCs to promote sustainable
practices.

2- The Al-Fursan Garden, a thoughtful contribution from the New Cairo
Club, serves as an agricultural training facility for students at
Dormies in the association. This initiative aims to provide practical
knowledge in agriculture and promote sustainability practices.

3- The Carpenter Workshop, made possible by a generous donation from the
Nasr City Club, offers a space for carpentry and woodworking projects,
providing valuable skills training and creative opportunities for the
local community.

4- The Thermal Printing Workshop, donated by the New Cairo Club,
provides an opportunity for young people to develop their computer
skills and learn about modern printing programs. This facility enables
printing on various items such as gift boxes, plastic bags, cups,
T-shirts, backpacks, and handbags, as well as banners for goods, plastic
products, textiles, fabric, bags, and school accessories.

5- The “Plant a Tree “Project is a collaborative effort between the
IWCs of Nasr City and New Cairo. As part of this initiative, ten fruit
trees have been successfully planted to promote environmental
sustainability. This joint effort exemplifies the positive impact of
community engagement in achieving common goals and enhancing the
surrounding communities.

The day was marked with expressions of joy and appreciation among the
members of the participating clubs, and Mrs. Shahinaz presented gracious
souvenirs to all attendees from the association’s workshop production.

IW Of Gezeira Sporting Club -Fatima Al Zahraa School at War’ak Al Hadar visit

Due to the the arrival of the holy month of Ramadan, Gezeira Sporting IW
Club, led by Ms. Azza El-Mofty, visited the Fatima Al Zahraa School at
War’ak Al Hadar which the club sponsors & supports. The visit was on
March 9th and 10th. The club, along with its members, distributed 67
Ramadan bags to students on the first day and 133 Ramadan boxes to
students, staff, and cleaners the next day. This showcases the club’s
commitment to making a difference by supporting those in need within the
community.

IW Of Gezira Sporting Club – yearly bazaar at the Gezira Sporting Club

Mrs. Azza El Mofty, along with distinguished members of the Innerwheel
Gezira Sporting Club, orchestrated the yearly bazaar at the Gezira
Sporting Club on March 1st and 2nd. The event showcased a wide array of
items including household goods, food, silverware, and accessories. The
exhibition drew a substantial crowd of club members, and the profits
will go towards backing the club’s ongoing projects.

IW Of Alexandria East Club – Rashida El Hagaa Integrated House for Mental Disabilities (“Life for All”) visit

On Thursday, March 7, 2024, Vice President Mrs. Saher Gazarine of
Innerwheel Alexandria East, along with several members, paid a visit to
the association of Rashida El Hagaa Integrated House for Mental
Disabilities (“Life for All”). They were guided by Mrs. Soheir Mahfouz,
the association’s manager, on a tour to observe the various activities
practiced by the residents.

IW Of Alexandria East Club – Ramadan supplies to the Egyptian Dwarfs Association

On March 6, 2024, Vice President Sahet Gazarine and members of
Innerwheel Alexandria East presented 115 cartons of Ramadan supplies to
the Egyptian Dwarfs Association under the People of Determination sector
in Rotary, overseen by our colleague Dr. Nagwa Essam.
Mr. Essam Shehata, the association’s manager, along with other members,
distributed the cartons to dwarf families, recognizing their economic
challenges based on social research findings.

IW Of El Nile Club – successful heart surgery for a baby girl Toqua Eissa – sustainable projects

The El Nile IW Club, following the motto “Shine a Light,” and as part of
their sustainable projects, led by Mrs. Maha Serour, contributed 42,000
LE towards a successful heart surgery for a baby girl Toqua Eissa, who
was diagnosed with PDA. Dr. Amal El Sisi conducted the surgery on March
12, 2024.

IW Of Alexandria Cleopatra Club – Ramadan meals distribution

IW Of Alexandria Cleopatra Club.
On March 14th, the Alexandria Cleopatra IW Club, led by Mrs. Soheir
Fahmy and honorary secretary Doaa Hamdy, distributed 100 meals in
celebration of the holy month of Ramadan under the slogan “Shine a
Light.” Wishing you a blessed Ramadan.

IW Of Cairo West Club – International Women’s Day celebration

On Saturday, March 16, 2024, Ms. Mona Abu Al-Futouh, the District 95th
chairman celebrated The International Women’s Day at the Salah El-Din
Hall / Sheraton Cairo Hotel. Representatives from all clubs in the
region attended including the current club president, Ms. Samia Wehbe,
and Dr. Zainab Al-Ghazali, the former district president and current
club treasurer. Ms. Nadia Al-Rashidi, the incoming club president, was
also present. During the event, the District chairman presented
certificates of appreciation to outstanding club members for their
achievements throughout the year. Dr. Zainab was among the recipients,
who also holds the Margarette Golding Award. Congratulations to all club
members. The festivities concluded with a loving Iftar celebrating the
Holy month of Ramadan.

IW Of Amman Club – King Hussein Cancer Center donation

As a demonstration of continued support for the King Hussein Cancer
Center and in response to the King Hussein Cancer Foundation’s campaign
“Save Cancer Patients from Gaza,” which aims to aid cancer patients from
Gaza receiving treatment at the Center, Mrs. Nuha Asfour, President of
the Inner Wheel Club of Amman, along with several members of the
administrative board, visited the foundation on Monday 19 February 2024.
During their visit, they met with the General Manager, Mrs. Nisreen
Qatamish, and presented a donation of 5000 Jordanian Dinars to support
children with cancer arriving from Gaza.

Mrs. Qatamish expressed her gratitude and appreciation to the club for
its ongoing initiatives in supporting the King Hussein Center and
responding to the campaign to help cancer patients from Gaza.

Discussions during the meeting focused on potential collaborations
between the Inner Wheel Club of Amman and the foundation. This included
the provision of meaningful awareness programs aimed at fostering
greater understanding of health and wellness.
Mrs. Nuha Asfour expressed her profound gratitude and appreciation
towards the foundation, acknowledging its tireless efforts and noble
goals, and expressed the club’s eagerness to further enhance this
collaboration for the betterment of the community.

IW Of Heliopolis & Nile IW clubs – clothing exhibition at the Faculty of Medicine, “Ain Shams University”

Mrs. Salwa Selim, leading the Heliopolis Innerwheel Club, along with
members from the Nile IW club and other Innerwheel clubs, participated
in a clothing exhibition at the Faculty of Medicine, “Ain Shams
University” on February 25 and 26. The proceeds of eight thousand
pounds from the clothing sales were donated to the university
administration to assist students facing financial problems.
The club’s president and members expressed gratitude to the Nile Club,
with special appreciation to Mrs. Magda Fahmy and Maha Sorour for their
dedicated efforts in organizing the exhibition.
