Child Care

IWC of Cairo West presided by Mrs. Nadia Al-Rashidi visited the “Banaty”
Foundation for Street Children. Attendees included Dr. Zainab
Al-Ghazali, the Treasurer, Mrs. Olivia Reda, the Vice President, Mrs.
Fayza Farid, the Club’s Delegate and Dr. Rania Samir, Club member. We
were welcomed and received by Mrs. Hend Sami, the CEO of the Foundation.
Mrs. Sami explained the various activities of the foundation, including
the efforts being made in awareness, education, and employment for
children. The donation from the club was handed over, and it was agreed
that further communication and collaboration with clubs will take place
to support and assist such projects.

Celebrating the 31st anniversary of IWC of Mansoura

Under the theme ” Heartbeat of Humanity” and during Inner Wheel
Mansoura’s trip to Ras El Bar, the club members headed by Mrs. Shadia El
Ashry went to the Elderly Care Home (in Ras El Bar), which is one of the
sustainable projects that the club has been following up and supporting
for several years. The delegation was headed on this visit by Mrs. Abeer
Dajani, District 95 Egypt and Jordan,Chairman accompanied by Mrs. Jumana
El Masry, a member of Inner Wheel Club of Amman and a former member of
Inner Wheel International, and Mrs. Mai Shweihat, a member of Inner
Wheel Club of Amman. They kindly donated cash to the home and its
workers. The honourable Mrs. Abeer Dajani also distributed gifts to the
residents of the home, which brought joy and happiness to their hearts.
Mrs. Abeer was also accompanied on this visit by Mrs. Ghada Rahmy, the
editor of the newsletter in the district.
The President, Mrs. Shadia presented the annual cash donation, and the
members of Inner Wheel Club of Mansoura donated cash and distributed
sweets and gifts to the residents. How happy the residents were with
this visit, and it added a lot of satisfaction and gratitude to their
feelings. We also felt happy with the impact we left on them, hoping to
God that we will always be able to do good and give more.

Celebrating the 31st anniversary of IWC of Nasr City

On Monday, November 11th, at Mastaka Restaurant in the Fifth
Settlement, the members of the IWC of Nasr City, headed by Mrs. Mona
El-Gemaei celebrated its 31st anniversary in the presence of the club’s
founder, Mrs. Siham El-Gohary and to welcome the Jordanian guests for
their visit to Egypt.

The celebration was honoured by the presence of Mrs. Iman ElBashary,
member of the International Board of Directors, Mrs. Hanaa El-Sadat,
Vice Chairman D95, Mrs. Emmy Hanna, Honorary Secretary, Mrs. Amel
El-Ghitany, Webmaster D95, Mrs. Awatef El-Nasharty, The Club Member and
Extension Chairman D95, and Mrs. Mona Abou El-Fotouh, Past Chairman D95.

Also, the celebration was honoured by a number of national
representatives and former district chairmen,
Ms. Afef Majed, Mrs. Nadia El Mikati, Mrs. Zainab Taki, Mrs. Dina
Ghorab, Mrs. Nora Fayek and Mrs. Laila El Aswad, former member of the
International Board of Directors and Mrs. Jumana Masry, the former
member of the International Board of Directors.

The IWC Presidents of Amman, Sphinx and Nile, Mrs. Fadia Yard , Mrs.
Inas Megahed and Mrs. Monica el Wakil joined the party.

Support Education Encouraging academic excellence

On Monday, November 11th, 2024, under the theme of the year “Heartbeat
of Humanity,” Inner Wheel Club of Sphinx headed by Mrs. Enas Megahed
held the charity bazaar for clothes at the Faculty of Music Education in
Zamalek. The profit was donated for the benefit of students who are
struggling to pay their tuition fees. During the bazaar, an award was
given to a student for her academic excellence. The club also celebrated
a club’s member birthday, Rabab El -Fiky, in a special atmosphere among
the students. Certainly, the charity bazaar is one of the club’s
sustainable projects. The bazaar was attended by club members Enas
Megahed, Ghada Barakat, Omima Ezzat, Hala Farouk, Rabab Elfiky, Hanan
Fakhry, Nahed Issa, Hanan Azmy, Soha Salem and Dalia Hassanien. A number
of students helped in the bazaar arrangements. Many thanks to those who
contributed to the success of the bazaar, with our wishes for more
success in charitable work in the future.

IW Clubs of Mansoura and Tanta and a trip to Ras el Bar

On Tuesday, November 12, 2024, Inner Wheel Club of Mansoura, headed by
Mrs. Shadia Al-Ashry and Inner Wheel Club of Tanta, headed by Mrs. Amal
Ezzat, held their annual celebration at the Steigenberger Hotel in Ras
El Bar City, with the presence of Mrs. Abeer Dajani, district 95 Egypt
and Jordan Chairman, accompanied by an esteemed delegate from different
IWCs members of Jordan.The ceremony began with the Egyptian and
Jordanian national anthems, then a minute of silence for the soul of
Mrs. Abeer Dajani’s nephew, may he rest in peace. Then, the President of
Mansoura Club welcomed the attendees, and the two presidents spoke and
presented the projects and activities that have been completed, as well
as the projects and activities planned to be implemented until the end
of the year. The Chairman of the district gave her speech and praised
the implemented projects and activities, and stressed the need to
implement the theme of the year by paying attention to orphanages and
the elderly and working to visit them and bring joy to their hearts.
Memorial gifts were exchanged between the head of the district and the
heads of the two clubs, and Mrs. Abeer Dajani presented a cash amount to
the two clubs as a contribution to their charitable projects.
Everyone had lunch to the tunes of the saxophone in a cheerful
atmosphere of friendship and joy. Many thanks to the head of the
district, Mrs. Abeer Dajani, and to the clubs that honored us with their
presence: Amman, Philadelphia and Petra from Jordan, and the clubs of
Tanta, Cairo, Giza, Al-Ahram, Al-Nil, Sphinx, Tahrir, Cairo North,
Garden City, Heliopolis, Al-Gezira, Nasr City, Port Said, Minya,
Alexandria and Alexandria East. Here’s to more success for all clubs and
a happy new year to everyone .The group spent two days enjoying the
scenic views and sea trip in an atmosphere of familiarity and
friendliness.

Support Education

Under the theme (Heartbeat of humanity), IWC of Garden City, headed by
Didi Al-Sourani, held a charity clothing exhibition on Sunday and
Monday, November 10 and 11, for students of the Faculty of Physical
Education, in the presence of a large group of club members. The
exhibition was opened by the vice dean, Mrs. Sarah Al-Bayeh. It was a
great success due to the quality of the exhibits, their abundance, and
simple prices. The students praised the exhibition and requested
repeating it several times a year. They also paid the tuition fees for
students who are unable to cover their expenses.

Heath Care project

On the 3rd of November, under the theme (Heartbeat of Humanity) and in
line with the IIW principle to serve the most needy in society, the IWC
of Garden City, headed by Didi Al-Sourani, donated some amount of money
to the leprosy colony. This is one of the club’s sustainable projects.

Support Blind people

On November 11th, the Inner Wheel Club of Alexandria Nozha Club, headed
by Mrs. Heba El-Qadi delivered 100 sticks to the “Kouloub Mothmera”
Association for the Blind to help them move. The club also handed over a
check to perform 20 cataract operations for the association.

Cervical Cancer Awareness

Under the theme of “Heartbeat of humanity,”
The IWC of Port Said invited Dr. Amel El Sissi (Professor at Cairo
University) and the one assigned to this topic in Egypt to raise
awareness briefly to the audience on preventive methods and early
detection of Cervical Cancer and its three steps of cure. The seminar
was attended by the president of the IWC of Port Said, Mrs/ Maha El
Mogy, and a group of club’s members and their esteemed guests. It was a
valuable and fruitful seminar. We hope to raise more awareness and
obtain active responses.

Friendship Bonding Trip

On Sunday, November 3rd, under the theme ‘ Heartbeat of Humanity,’
the Inner Wheel Club of Giza Pyramids, led by Ms. Iman Selim organized a
Nile cruise. Members and presidents from different IW clubs and of
District 95, Egypt and Jordan, including past District 95 Chairmen Mrs.
Afaf Maged and Mrs. Mona Abu El Fotouh participated and enjoyed the
beautiful weather overlooking the magnificent Nile.

After a delightful cruise and spending a pleasant time,
 a lunch was held at the Cairo Yacht Club, followed by a birthday
celebration for members born in October and November. The event was
filled with pure friendship and love, the core values of the Inner Wheel
organization.
