IW Of El Nile Club – successful heart surgery for a baby girl Toqua Eissa – sustainable projects

The El Nile IW Club, following the motto “Shine a Light,” and as part of
their sustainable projects, led by Mrs. Maha Serour, contributed 42,000
LE towards a successful heart surgery for a baby girl Toqua Eissa, who
was diagnosed with PDA. Dr. Amal El Sisi conducted the surgery on March
12, 2024.

IW Of Alexandria Cleopatra Club.
On March 14th, the Alexandria Cleopatra IW Club, led by Mrs. Soheir
Fahmy and honorary secretary Doaa Hamdy, distributed 100 meals in
celebration of the holy month of Ramadan under the slogan “Shine a
Light.” Wishing you a blessed Ramadan.

IW Of Cairo West Club – International Women’s Day celebration

On Saturday, March 16, 2024, Ms. Mona Abu Al-Futouh, the District 95th
chairman celebrated The International Women’s Day at the Salah El-Din
Hall / Sheraton Cairo Hotel. Representatives from all clubs in the
region attended including the current club president, Ms. Samia Wehbe,
and Dr. Zainab Al-Ghazali, the former district president and current
club treasurer. Ms. Nadia Al-Rashidi, the incoming club president, was
also present. During the event, the District chairman presented
certificates of appreciation to outstanding club members for their
achievements throughout the year. Dr. Zainab was among the recipients,
who also holds the Margarette Golding Award. Congratulations to all club
members. The festivities concluded with a loving Iftar celebrating the
Holy month of Ramadan.

IW Of Amman Club – King Hussein Cancer Center donation

As a demonstration of continued support for the King Hussein Cancer
Center and in response to the King Hussein Cancer Foundation’s campaign
“Save Cancer Patients from Gaza,” which aims to aid cancer patients from
Gaza receiving treatment at the Center, Mrs. Nuha Asfour, President of
the Inner Wheel Club of Amman, along with several members of the
administrative board, visited the foundation on Monday 19 February 2024.
During their visit, they met with the General Manager, Mrs. Nisreen
Qatamish, and presented a donation of 5000 Jordanian Dinars to support
children with cancer arriving from Gaza.

Mrs. Qatamish expressed her gratitude and appreciation to the club for
its ongoing initiatives in supporting the King Hussein Center and
responding to the campaign to help cancer patients from Gaza.

Discussions during the meeting focused on potential collaborations
between the Inner Wheel Club of Amman and the foundation. This included
the provision of meaningful awareness programs aimed at fostering
greater understanding of health and wellness.
Mrs. Nuha Asfour expressed her profound gratitude and appreciation
towards the foundation, acknowledging its tireless efforts and noble
goals, and expressed the club’s eagerness to further enhance this
collaboration for the betterment of the community.

IW Of Heliopolis & Nile IW clubs – clothing exhibition at the Faculty of Medicine, “Ain Shams University”

Mrs. Salwa Selim, leading the Heliopolis Innerwheel Club, along with
members from the Nile IW club and other Innerwheel clubs, participated
in a clothing exhibition at the Faculty of Medicine, “Ain Shams
University” on February 25 and 26. The proceeds of eight thousand
pounds from the clothing sales were donated to the university
administration to assist students facing financial problems.
The club’s president and members expressed gratitude to the Nile Club,
with special appreciation to Mrs. Magda Fahmy and Maha Sorour for their
dedicated efforts in organizing the exhibition.

On Sunday, February 25, 2024, the Innerwheel Club of Sphinx, under the
leadership of Mrs. Soha Salem, hosted a delightful dinner at Saheb Al
Saada Restaurant on Al Moez Street, brimming with ancient historical
allure. Attendees relished dinner amidst music and a captivating Tanoura
show. Notable guests included Mrs. Mona Abu Al-Futouh D95 chairman, Mrs.
Ashnadil Helmy, Mrs. Hala Hagrass, and Members from Innerwheel clubs of
Giza, Nasr City, Tanta, and Mansoura, along with several guests,
attended the occasion. The day sparkled with joy and positivity, leaving
everyone yearning for more beautiful activities benefiting for
charitable endeavors.

IW Of New Cairo Club – participation in The Youth Global Forum under the theme ‘Shine a Light,’

IW Of New Cairo Club.
On February 24th, the Inner Wheel Club of New Cairo, led by Vice
President Lina Shaker, participated in The Youth Global Forum under the
theme ‘Shine a Light,’ organized by IW District 204 Italy via Zoom. The
club’s young members, aged 30 to 35, shared their leadership visions and
aspirations among other dynamic international club representatives, Lina
in a 3-minute video, shared her motivations for joining Inner Wheel, her
vision of leadership, and the areas where she aspires to make a positive
impact through her leadership abilities. Her words were truly uplifting,
highlighting the significance of nurturing young leaders within our
communities.
The event was a success thanks to Ashnadelle Hilmy’s invitation and
Luisa Vinciguerra’s excellent organization. Special thanks to District
204 for hosting the remarkable forum. The club is grateful for the
opportunity and proud to have been part of such a meaningful event.

IW Of Heliopolis Club – Al-Ghad Al-Mashreq Association for People with Special Needs visit

IW Of Heliopolis Club .
On Saturday, February 17, 2024, the Heliopolis Innerwheel Club, led by
Ms. Salwa Selim, joined by D95 chairman Mrs. Mona Abu Al-Futouh, along
with members of the Executive Council and other Innerwheel Club
presidents and members, visited the Al-Ghad Al-Mashreq Association for
People with Special Needs.
They were welcomed by Mrs. Shahinaz Hashem, the Chairperson of the
Association’s Board of Directors, who guided them through a tour
showcasing the Association’s activities.
Mrs. Salwa presented a donation of ten thousand pounds on behalf of the
club for the purchase of a press to enhance a paper recycling workshop.
The association’s management was commended for their efforts, and best
wishes were extended for their continued success.

IW Of Alexandria Mediterranean Club – Oncology Centre at Borg El Arab University Hospital, Alexandria University visit

IW Of Alexandria Mediterranean Club.
On Tuesday, February 27, 2024, Alexandria Mediterranean IW Club, led by
Dr. Eman Shafshak and honorary secretary Shadia El-Derini, visited the
Oncology Centre at Borg El Arab University Hospital, Alexandria
University.
Accompanied by the Vice President of the region and the club’s founder,
Dr. Viola Ramsis.
The club made a donation which included 2 Laryngeal scopes for intensive
care procedures and 2 Crush Cars for preparing and administering
chemotherapy, medicines, and supplies. The hospital director, Dr. Shadi
Fadel, expressed the hospital’s urgent need for these devices, with a
total cost of 78,660 EGP.

IW Of Alexandria East Club – visit to the Faculty of Medicine at Alexandria University

IW Of Alexandria East Club.
On Sunday, February 25, 2024, the Alexandria East Innerwheel Club, led
by Dr. Mona Gamal and accompanied by several members, paid a visit to
the Faculty of Medicine at Alexandria University. They delivered medical
devices purchased for the Children’s Oncology Treatment Center at Borg
El Arab University Hospital, including 2 ECG devices, 3 suction devices,
and 10 microscope cases, tailored to the center’s requirements. Dr.
Essam Badawy, the Head of the Central Administration of Hospitals at
Alexandria University, welcomed the delegation.
