IWC of Sharm El Sheikh hosted Mrs. Nora Fayek, Chairman of D95, Egypt and Jordan

On Tuesday, March 14, the IWC of Sharm El Sheikh headed by Iman Mokhtar hosted Mrs. Nora  Fayek, Chairman of D95, Egypt and Jordan, at the Palm Hills Club in Sheikh Zayed. Mrs. Nora Fayek is a founding member of IWC of Sharm El-Sheikh.

In her speech Mrs. Fayek kindly gave a word of thanks and welcome to all the members, while providing an overview of to what has been done in the Sharm El-Sheikh Club since its establishment.

She wished the club continued progress and success.  She presented the IW pins to the new members and invited them to cooperate and benefit from the experiences of the club members.

At the end of her speech, she presented a souvenir to Mrs. Iman Mukhtar, the club president, and express their thanks for her outstanding efforts for the continuation of the club’s sustainable projects, and her activity during the current year.

In her turn, Mrs. Iman Mokhtar presented a beautiful bouquet of roses, to the district 95 Chairman to thank her for her effort during this year and her constant support of the Sharm El-Sheikh Club.

At the end of the meeting, the club members elected the president and members of executive committee for the next year 2023-2024.

The meeting, which lasted for more than 3 hours, was characterized by an atmosphere of affection, love and fun. Members born in March celebrated their birthdays

IWC of Amman Philadelphia completed the project at Gaza Camp at Jerash

On Monday June 5th, the last stage of the project of IWC of Amman Philadelphia was completed.
A number of the club executive and general members presided by Mrs Duha Abdulhadi and in the presence of the Vice Chairman of D95 Mrs Abeer Al Dajani, paid a visit to the project at Gaza Camp at Jerash.
The ladies were welcomed by Mrs Maha Saqqa , the head of the Camp and Dr Bassem Safareeni who in his turn gave an explanation about the importance of the DC Shock device in the emergency room and its importance in saving the lives of the patients.
Then the ladies were taken on a tour around the camp to see the club achievements which was of two stages.
The first stage was to equip the sanitary facilities such as bathrooms and washbasins to suit the movement of the patients of special needs.
The second stage was a physical rehabilitation room for the children who undergo surgery and need to continue their post operative treatment under the supervision of a full-time nurse in response to the large number of visitors from the Camp.
Also a cold iron device was provided to the department of Dermatology, a hearing test device to the ENT clinic along with the DC Shock and the monitor in the emergency room.
Mrs Maha Saqqa expressed her appreciation in a very powerful and expressive words for the importance of such a donation to the Camp.

IWC of Club of Sharm El-Sheikh made a visit to Yasmine El-Samra Foundation / Debra Egypt.

On Wednesday May 31, 2023, the Inner Wheel Club of Sharm El-Sheikh made a visit to Yasmine El-Samra  Foundation / Debra Egypt headed by Mrs. Hana ElSadat. The visit was made by Mrs. Iman Mokhtar, the president of the club and club members in the presence of Mrs. Nora Fayek, D95 Chairman and member of club.
This visit is to support the activity and efforts of this foundation concerned with spreading

awareness, caring for and integrating children with epidermolysis bullosa ( EB)  butterfly children, in the community, and relieving them and their families by providing them with monthly treatments, as the foundation sponsors more than 350 cases. The President presented a check on behalf of the club members, praising the activity of the Foundation and the efforts of Mrs. Hana El-Sadat in promoting the foundation at all levels.

IWC of Heliopolis Paid a Visit to Baheya Hospital Sheikh Zayed Branch

On Sunday, May 28, Inner Wheel Club of Heliopolis headed by Mrs. Salwa Selim paid a visit to  Baheya Hospital Sheikh Zayed Branch to present donation to the  hospital

IWC of Alexandria East held a workshop titled “ Be a Hero Combating Climate Change”.

Believing in the importance of Environmental awareness and continuing the projects of the Inner wheel Alexandria East Club for this year to raise the awareness of Egyptian Japanese Schools’ children about the climate change topics and the ecological footprint. The Inner wheel Alexandria East Club headed by Dr Mona Gamal held a workshop titled: “Be a Hero Combating Climate Change” to aware the children, in a simple way, how to calculate the carbon footprint which is the person’s contribution in CO2 emissions that affects the environment.
The workshop was held on Monday 29-5-2023 and included various activities for children about the ways to reduce the carbon footprint through controlling the consumption of energy, water, and food.
More than 32 children participated in the workshop. They were divided into 3 working groups. The participating children calculated an individual’s carbon footprint through their daily activities. They also offered recommendations and activities that they will work on, as well as transferring these experiences to their families and friends and disseminating them in the surrounding community.

The IWC of New Cairo, with IWC of Nasr City, initiated a field trip to Gero Land.

On May 24, 2023, under the year’s slogan, “Make Wonders”:

 

Play is the cure! Studies have shown that playing in the lives of children with special needs has many benefits. It increases the child’s ability to pay attention, improves problem-solving skills, and develops imagination.

Playing, and field trips for children, especially for autistic children, reduce feelings of stress and make them less likely to suffer from depression and anxiety.

The Inner Wheel Club of New Cairo, together with the Inner Wheel Club of Nasr City, initiated a field trip to Gero Land, the amusement park, for around 60 children and supervisors. An entertainment program was prepared for them, including all the different games for a full day. At the end of the day, the children were served delicious meals and drinks.

The children enjoyed the day, and the parents thanked the association for this beautiful event.

Inner Wheel Clubs of New Cairo and Nasr City Hosted Dr. Mustafa Al Feki in their Book Club Seminar

The Inner Wheel Clubs of New Cairo and Nasr City attended an intellectual evening organized by Inner Wheel Nasr City Book Club on May 24th, 2023. The guest of honour was Dr. Mustafa Al-Feki, a distinguished diplomat and politician, who discussed his controversial novel “A Journey into Time and Place.” The event was also attended by Mrs. Nora Fayek, D95 Chairman and Treasurer of the 95th District, Mrs. Omaima Ezzat, and Mrs. Ruba Abu Ghosh, Chairwoman of the Amman Cultural Women’s Forum, who flew from Jordan to participate. Other participants included the Inner Wheel Club of Sharm El-Sheikh, the Rotary Club of Nasr City, and many intellectuals and media professionals. The discussion was fascinating and informative, and we thank Dr. Moustafa El-Feki for his valuable insights.

Inner Wheel Club of New Cairo played host D95 Chairman Mrs. Nora Fayek

On May 20, 2023, the Inner Wheel Club of New Cairo played host to D95 Chairman Mrs. Nora Fayek. The club’s president, Mrs. Nihal El-Bakry, and members warmly welcomed Mrs. Fayek with a lovely bouquet of roses. The meeting commenced with President El-Bakry acknowledging Mrs. Fayek’s unwavering support, culminating in the Club Charter being issued in November 2022.
The Honorary Secretary, Ms. Rania Tawfiq, then provided updates on IWC’s recent activities. This was followed by Miss Joy Mihanni, who presented the club’s projects, meetings, and trips.
Mrs. Fayek began her address by commending the club’s remarkable progress and lauding the young women members for their innovative ideas. She encouraged new members to join this youth club and invited suggestions for new ideas.
The members eagerly presented their ideas, which Mrs. Fayek discussed in detail and opened up new horizons for cooperation in the social service field.
She then thanked President El-Bakry for her outstanding efforts and the idea of ​​establishing a new club for young women. As a token of appreciation, the members presented Mrs. Fayek with a souvenir gift, which she reciprocated by gifting the club president a beautiful present.

Visit of D95 Chairman to IWC’s of Alexandria & Damanhur

IWC’s of Alexandria hosted Mrs. Nora Fayek, Chairman of District 95 (Egypt & Jordan) and the Executive Committee in Alexandria, Hilton Green Plaza Hotel on May 27,2023

The delegation of the district was received by members of Alexandria & Damanhur IW Clubs

Mrs.Khadiga khashana Vice president of the Inner Wheel Club of Alexandria on behalf of the IWC’s of Alexandria presidents welcomed Mrs. Nora Fayek, D 95 Chairman, Mrs. Afaf Maged, the Vice Chairman, Mrs.  .Enaya Sharrarah Deputy NR, Ms. Hala Hagrass the Past Chairman, Mrs. Azza Al- Mofti, the Honorary Secretary, Mrs. Omaima Ezzat, the treasurer, Mrs. Rime Nazih, the ISO and Mrs .Mervat El Azzouni webmaster . She also welcomed Mrs. Nadia Al-Mikati, the Past NR and the Past Chairmen of D95 Mrs. Awatef Al-Nashrati, Mrs. Samia Hatata , Mrs. Mona Aref  and all IW members from different clubs.

Next, the Presidents of the five Clubs of Alexandria and Damanhur presented the activities and projects of their clubs.

In her speech, the D 95 Chairman Mrs. Fayek, praised the projects of the Clubs, and expressed her thanks and appreciation .She noted the cooperation between different clubs.

Symbolic gifts were exchanged between D95 Chairman and the presidents of the six clubs.

At the end, lunch was served in an atmosphere of friendship, fun and love.

IWC of Nasr City went on a trip to the New Administrative Capital

On May 15, 2023, the Inner Wheel Club of Nasr City, headed by Mrs. Hend Mortagi and its members, went on a trip to the New Administrative Capital.

They visited Adly Mansour Station where they had a tour in the station and well received by the manager, and took the electric train, heading to the Administrative Capital.

The Tour began at the City of Arts and Culture, watching the new Opera House, the iconic tower, the banking district, and the financial & business district.

The cathedral was the first landmark they visited, and they were touched by its beauty and grandeur.

Then they visited Al-Fattah Al-Alim Mosque and listened to an explanation of its consistency as it is built by Egyptian companies only.

Then they went to Al-Massa Hotel, where they had a delicious oriental lunch at the Khedive Restaurant.

Then they toured the Ministries neighborhood, saw the Green River, the Parliament building and the Senate.

Then they visited the Mosque of Egypt, The Islamic Center, and were impressed by the design of the mosque, its grandeur, and its location. The mosque overlooks a wonderful view of the capital.

Then they completed the tour by passing through the Arc de Triomphe, the People’s Square and the Presidential Palace.

Everyone touched the modernity, the amount of effort exerted, and the sense of pride and belonging of everyone who received the club members and guided the tour of the New Capital.
