Joint meeting between IWC of Zamalek & IWC of El Nile hosted Eng. Mona El Degheidi

In a joint meeting with Inner Wheel Club of Nile and with the presence of Mrs Hala Hagras past district chairman, and within an atmosphere full of joy , culture and stories, the IW club of Zamalek held a meeting with guest speaker Eng. Mona El Degheidi also known as Nouni or Om Asser and Islam Yassin.

The talk was extremely pleasant, lively and full of beautiful memories. She explained how she brought up her two boys in a strict but pleasant way by narrating stories that brings up the information and hence achieves her goal, which in actual fact should be applied to bring up the new generation in a simple and acceptable way.

Discussions also were about her book Nouni WA Hakaweeha (i.e Nouni and her stories) which contains 35 different short stories from her life written in a simple language and extremely joyful.

The meeting in general was extremely informative and pleasant

IWC of Zamalek Visited Al- Nas Hospital

Inner Wheel Club of Zamalek, presided by Mrs. Huda Kalash, and a group of club members visited the Al-Nas Hospital “The largest Pediatric Heart Hospital in Africa and the Middle East “one of the club’s sustainable projects.

The club donated a sum of money as according to the protocol signed between the hospital and the club, the club has to do two operations annually, it is noteworthy that the club had previously established a complete intensive care room in this great edifice.

At the end of the visit, gifts  were distributed to children to bring joy to their heart

IWC of Alexandria Mediterranean held a workshop on Ayadi el Mostakbal Oncology Hospital for teaching embroidery

On Saturday October 22,

IWC of Alexandria Mediterranean headed by Mrs.Zizi Olama held a workshop on “Ayadi El Mostakbal” Oncology hospital to teach the patient the art of crochet and embroidery, the Club members donated an amount to the trainees as  an encouragement reward, to buy the necessary materials to be able to produce some handmade crochet  products that are marketed in the charity fairs of the hospital to serve the patients and their families. At the end the club received a certificate of Thanks and appreciation

IWC of Alexandria Mediterranean distributed 50 coupons for the workers of the Faculty of Science

In order to ensure a “dignified life” for people of low income and to improve their living conditions.

On October 23, IWC of Alexandria Mediterranean distributed 50 coupons for purchase from “Gomla Market” for the workers of the Faculty of Science, Alexandria University

The Dean of the Faculty presented a of certificate of appreciation to the IW club.

IWC of Amman Support “Green Wheels” initiative

For the fourth year in a row, IW Club of Amman supports the “Green Wheelz” initiative, which collects plastic bottle caps, and uses the revenue from selling them to recyclers to help the “Cerebral Palsy Association” in education and health.

The interaction of Amman Club ladies in collecting the covers was enormous.

President Vivian Anz Qaqeesh, accompanied by committee ladies visited the initiative on Friday October 21, to deliver a large load of what was collected during the past three months.

Supporting “Green Wheelz” initiative falls under the sustainable projects of IW Club of Amman

IWC of Alexandria East Hosted Egyptian Author Dr. Reem Bassiouny

On October 22,

IWC of Alexandria East hosted Egyptian Author Dr.Reem Basiouny in a seminar entitled “The Fatimids’ truth and Building Cairo”

Dr. Bassiouny won Naguib Mahfouz Award from Egypt’s Supreme Council for Culture in the Egyptian novel category, The Mamluk Trilogy. She was also the winner of the National Prize for Excellence in Literature of the year 2022 from the Egyptian Ministry of Culture.

It was an interesting seminar where Dr.Bassiouny talk about her new book “El Halawany “ and She answered all questions asked by the audience

At the end, she signed copies of her books to the attendees

On Monday, October 24, Inner wheel Club of Alexandria El El Nozha hosted

Dr. Dalia Ahmed Nafeh, Professor of Hematology and Marrow Transplantation, Head of the Hematology Unit at the Faculty of Medicine, Alexandria University, was hosted.

She spoke at length about the unit of marrow transplantation and blood diseases

IWC of Petra Organized a Trip to the Carob Farm In Madaba

The Inner Wheel Club of Petra headed by Mona Hamzeh Abu El Ragheb , organized an educational trip to the “Carob Farm” in Madaba on Tuesday October 25, We were honored by the presence of Mrs. Abeer Dajani, Vice Chairman (D95 Egypt & Jordan). Agriculture Engineer Rakan Mehyar explained to participants about using permaculture design principles to ethically harness natural energies, diminish expensive agricultural inputs, and

grow food more efficient. The club members had a delicious breakfast at Carob House where dishes are prepared from local agricultural produce.

IWC of Lotus Misr Shared UN Women in training and employing girls in the culinary arts

Inner wheel Lotus Misr headed by / Nabila Omran Shared the UN women “ In training and employing girls in the culinary arts “The duration of the course is 32 hours divided into 8 lectures for 8 days and the duration of training per day is 4 hours, for 20 women or girls starting from the age of 18 to the age of 25.

First, technical and practical training in culinary arts.Second, life skills training (Career guidance)

This program has been increased by “UN Women “The company and Inner Wheel Club of Lotus Misr will hire female trainees with a monthly return based on the needs of hotels and the most famous chains of restaurants offered in Egypt

IWC of Al-Gezira Sporting D95 Egypt & Jordan sustainable project

Date: 16th of October 2022

IWC of Al-Gezira Sporting sponsored a sewing workshop at Nahdat Al-Mansouriah Association in Al-Mansouria village in Egypt.

The club donated all the necessary sewing machines and equipment to teach women the art of sewing and crochet. The club bought their products and donated the total of 180 sets of clothes to needy students at Fatima Alzahra’ public school in Imbaba Village.

The club also celebrated the graduation of 19 women who finished their sewing course and organized a bazaar where their products were sold.
