Fist Preliminary meeting of District 95 Egypt& Jordan

On, Saturday, September 24, 2022,

the preliminary meeting of District 95 (Egypt and Jordan) was held at Safir hotel.

The meeting began with playing the Egyptian and the Jordanian national anthems.

Next, Mrs. Nora Fayek, Chairman of D95, welcomed the National Representative, Mrs.Susan Kilani, and all the attendees.

In her speech, Mrs. Kilani, the NR, announced that we are honored to be hosting IIW president Zenaida Farcon in January 2023 to celebrate the IIW Day in Cairo. She added that next year, 2023-2024, will be the centennial year of the Inner Wheel, and that a celebration will be held on May 2024 in Manchester, England, the birthplace of IW. Finally, she delivered the International President’s speech, launching this year’s slogan: “Work Wonders.”

The Chairman stated her vision for this year, which is focusing on education, health and women empowerment, and paying particular attention to the “Haya Karima” Project (under the auspices of the Egyptian President). She emphasized the importance of encouraging girls to join the Inner Wheel because they are the future leaders. She wished the attendees a successful year.

Finally, each of the esteemed executive committee said a word to highlight their role on the district board.

IWC of Nile celebrated the graduation of students in the Literacy classes in Abou El Nomros area

On Sunday, September 18,2020

The Inner Wheel Club of Nile celebrated the graduation of students in the literacy classes sponsored by the club in the Abu El Nomros area, Giza, where teaching was through the CLE program approved by the General Authority for Adult Education (the governmental institution entrusted with the issue of illiteracy in Egypt), which is distinguished by its developmental approach that helps the student to Mastering a craft with an economic return.

It is worth noting that 100 students were submitted for the final exam, where 94 succeeded, with a success rate of 94%.

This project is In line with this year slogan WORK WONDERS & also Egypt’s 2030 vision for sustainable development, and since the eradication of ignorance is one of the main axes in the new republic, as well as economic empowerment and equality, especially for women, which is also one of the basic visions of the Inner Wheel clubs.

The celebration took place at the Saphir hotel, and the literacy certificates approved for studies were handed over, and they were honored, and the teachers were also honored.

IWC of Alexandria East held a workshop “Weather and Climate” What is the difference?

On Monday September 5,2022

and Coinciding the preparation of Egypt hosting for COP 27 conference that will be held in Sharm Elsheikh in November 2022, Prof. Mona Gamal El-Din Ibrahim – President of the Inner Wheel Club of Alexandria East, held a workshop entitled ‘Weather and Climate’ . What is the difference? to aware the children, in a simple way, with the definition of weather, climate, the difference between them, the global warming gases, and negative effects of climate change.

The workshop included various activities for children about the role of each one to control the consumption of energy, water, and food.

More than 170 children participated in the workshop. They were divided into 4 working groups. The participating children get acquainted with ‘Climate Change Heroes’ and each group chose a hero of climate change to represent it in their daily lives. They also presented the recommendations and activities that they will work on, as well as sharing these experiences with their friends and in the community around them. Climate changing heroes included 8 areas: (Truth Talker- Veggie Vindicator – Fume Fighter – Green Guide – Recycle Ranger – Energy Expert – Fashion Fixer – Water Wizard).

IWC of Amman Philadelphia and a lecture about Osteoporosis

On Monday, September 19th

Inner Wheel Club of Amman Philadelphia, headed by Mrs. Duha Bushnaq Abdel Hadi and the committee members, hosted Dr.Ghadeer Al-Zoubi , owner and manager of Argon medical supplies and Dr. Muhammad Saleh , anesthesiologist and back pain consultant at Abdel Hadi Hospital at the Kempinski Hotel in Amman.Dr.Ghadeer talked about vitamins and the importance of each of them in our daily life and the appropriate time to take each type. Then she distributed different types of vitamins to the attendees.After that Dr. Muhammad explained the causes of back pain and its treatment. He explained that back pain is the second main reason to doctors’ visits after common cold worldwide. He also talked about modern treatment methods through Epidural anesthesia without resorting to full anesthesia in operations. Questions were raised about osteoporosis and feet pain .At the end, Mrs Duha thanked Dr.Ghadeer and Dr.Muhammad for providing the attendees with the treasure of knowledge and valuable information

IWC of Amman Philadelphia visited El Talbiah refugee camp to check the eyesight of Students

September 21,2022

A free Medical day at Al-Talbiah refugee camp.
Inner Wheel Club of  Amman Philadelphia, presided by Mrs Duha Abdulhadi and accompanied by Mrs. Alia Alian and Mrs. Hanan Ghawi and with the cooperation of Abdulhadi Hospital and Dr. Imad Hindash, the director of Sana’ optical center, they all paid a visit to Al-Talbiah refugee camp- the local community rehabilitation center for the disabled- to check the eyesight of almost seventy(70) male and female students who complain of eyesight problems and need urgent eyeglasses to help them in schooling and day to day life.
Dr Imad Hindash, thankfully, donated all the frames while  IWC of Amman Philadelphia will cover the expenses of the lenses.
We send our big thanks to Abdulhadi Hospital and Dr Hindash for their great effort and diligent quest for good deeds.
IWC of  Amman Philadelphia will continue in doing miracles by drawing a smile on the faces of the children and a reassuring mark on the hearts of the mothers.

Inner Wheel Club of Giza headed by Mrs. Janine Doss and club members visited the “Green Sunbulah shelter” at the Fifth Settlement. Mrs.Doss kindly handed over a variety of notebooks, geometry sets, lunch boxes and other school supplies. Inner wheel Club of Amman 13/9/2022 had a lecture about women’s health “Osteoporosis and Aging “

by by Dr. Suzan Alsayed. The doctor emphasized the importance of food first, the base line examination of the bones after the age of fifty, and the importance of taking calcium and vitamin D, with the need to walk daily and do physical exercises to strengthen the muscles that embrace and protect the bones.  Occupational Therapist Mrs. Nuha Salah talk about making our homes and the common areas safe by removing what might trigger falling, and making sure dim areas are lightly lit at night. President Vivian Anz Qaqish and Vice District Chairman Mrs. Abeer Dajani attended the lecture. The audience interacted with questions, and the doctor and the specialist answered their inquiries

IWC of Amman Donated School Bags and Water Coolers…

 On September 5,2022,

IWC of Amman Donated School Bags and Water Coolers to four Schools in El Hasa Southern Jordan Desert Area

according to this year theme“Work Wonders”, coinciding with the International Charity Day, and the beginning of the new school year, IW Club of Amman headed by Mrs. Vivian Anz Qaqish and Mrs. Abeer Dajani, Vice Chairman of D95 (Egypt & Jordan) together with members of the committee, visited four schools in Al-Hasa southern Jordan desert area, with the help and guidance of the (The Jordanian Hashemite Fund).

Honorary active member Mrs. Abeer Dajani donated 270 school bags, and the club members and the local community donated generously to fill these bags with stationery, including pens, notebooks, along with water bottle, sports shoes, T-shirt, and some juices and sweets. The club was also able, through generous donations, to purchase and install in the four schools four water coolers made of stainless steel so the students can drink cold filtered water.
