On June 15, 2021 IWC of Tanta headed by Mrs. Ghada Rahmy and in the presence of the treasurer, Mrs. Shadia El-Shennawy donating to Al-Minshawi General Hospital in Tanta (one of the isolation hospitals in Tanta) the following, 300 Gowns for doctors and nursing staff, with a value of 4,500 pounds, 110 surgical mask boxes Each box contains 50 masks with 5500 EGP.
The total donation costs were ten thousand EGP. The medical supplies were received by Dr. Tawfiq Al-Minshawi as the members were unable to attend due to the current circumstances.
Also, IWC of Giza paid the tuition fees for 35 students at the Faculty of Dar Al Uloom who graduated, to obtain their certificates as they were withheld due to nonpayment, so the club paid 15000 EGP.
The club also paid the tuition fees for 15 students in different grades.
The Inner Wheel Club of Al Mansoura headed by Mrs. Nagwa Kandil, as their annual habit, carried out a Medical device. This year a huge device was purchased that serves the entire Dakahlia governorate, an Echo device, which checks how the heart’s chambers and valves are pumping blood through the heart, was carried out to the Intrinsic Specialized Hospital in Mansoura .This device costs 280.000 EGP.
It is worth noting that the treatment unit for this disease has been awarded the platinum degree in the Angels Awards for the global stroke units in the region of Africa and the Middle East.
The women of the administrative body were received by Dr. Fadia Samara, founder, and president of “Himmetna”, who briefed the audience on the projects accomplished by the organization, which contribute to the development and support of the public health sector, and the improvement of health care provided to citizens. It also presented the steps taken by the Society in implementing its recently launched project to develop and modernize 25 health centers in various regions of the Kingdom.
Mrs. Chihabi, President of Inner Wheel Club of Petra, commended the good efforts made by the “Hemmitna” and made a cash donation in the name of IWC of Petra to cover the costs of equipping the children’s clinic at Princess Basma Health Center, which represents the first phase of the project.
At the end of the meeting, Mrs. Chihabi expressed her pride in the good efforts and remarkable achievements made by those in charge of managing the “Himmetna” charity organization and are still achieving them to serve the less fortunate in our society.
Mrs. Samia Abou El Fotouh, President of the Inner wheel Club of Zamalek, stated: The club chose the village of Al-Amani to permanently adopt its needs, as the club recently participated in alleviating the burden on the poorest families in the village by distributing Ramadan cartons during the holy month, and we follow up on the needs of the village permanently to provide all aspects of support to it.
The development work of Al-Amani Village included roofing trellises, implementing interior and exterior paint and cladding, installing doors and windows, finishing bathrooms, installing ceramics, floors and walls, instillation of internal plumbing and electrical connections, and clean water connections to the homes of the unprivileged, to turn them into suitable and decent place.
The project aims to comprehensively improve the needy villages through the reconstruction of dilapidated houses. The reconstruction includes demolishing, rebuilding, roofing, arbor, cladding, paint and ceramics, in addition to delivering water, electricity and sanitary ware to the incapable of the village and completing the possible infrastructure of Basics in the village.
The visitors were received by Mrs. Anisa Hassouna, who gave a presentation on the establishment this great project in Egypt, which is comparable to the best children’s hospitals in the world. Several philanthropists fund the hospital, where senior doctors and professors perform pediatric heart surgeries for newborns and treat congenital defects free of charge.
Mrs. Samia Aboul Fotouh handed over this year’s donation check, which covers the cost of two pediatric heart surgeries for newborns. The delegation was also informed of the details of care and attention offered at the hospital. This is not the first time that IWC of Zamalek contributes to the hospital. Last year, the club established a fully equipped room, now named after IWC of Zamalek, at the cost of two million EGP.
Ms. Mona Aref praised the extraordinary efforts made by Mrs. Anisa Hassouna , the team of doctors and the administration, who were selected at the highest level and are fully dedicated to work in this great charitable hospital. She also spoke about the difficulty of living through a pandemic and about how one reaps the good he sows.
The total cost of 19 houses is 102,600 EGP.
It will be implemented within 4 months from the start of the implementation.
On behalf of President Lobna El Messiri, PPresident Gehane Halawa signed the agreement and handed over the check for of the amount.
