IWC of Alexandria East Distributing Ramadan Bags

12/4/2021Inner Wheel club of Alexandria East headed by Mrs. Nadia Mohye El Din distributed Ramadan bags to Isbet Marghani in Khurshid and the seventh village in Assiut.

It should be noted that among these families there are 350 families that are sponsored by the club on a continuous, regular basis, which are rotated according to the social research that the club does by itself through specific hired employees. The project of Old Cairo families has been going on for 20 years now by the club.

7/4/2021The Inner Wheel Club of Zamalek under the presidency of Mrs. Samia Abo El Fetouh visited the Qubbah Palace. This visit is among many visits within the framework of the project “known Your Country “which the club has adopted for more than 10 years to get to know the historical places in Egypt. The palace is one of the three main presidential palaces with the Abdin Palace and Ras El Teen Palace. Great in our modern history so far, it is used to receive kings and presidents from different official delegates. The visit took place inside the various wings of the palace.

The visit took place inside the various wings of the palace as well as the museum attached to it, built by Khedive Ismail in 1873 and completed in 1873.

Qasr al-Qubbah is one of the largest Royal palaces, an area of about 190 acres, the palace garden is one of the largest gardens in Egypt, rare trees since the era of Khedive Ismail

During the reign of Khedive Tawfiq, the palace in which he was born became the site of the most luxurious ceremonies and royal weddings, and a place where his visitors expressed their intense admiration for its lush gardens.

IWC of Zamalek distributing Ramadan Cartons to the unprivileged families of Old Cairo

10/4/2021On the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, the Inner Wheel Club of Zamalek under the Presidency of Mrs. Samia Abul-Fotouh, with the participation of the club’s members, were distributed Ramadan cartons among the unprivileged families of Old Cairo, that reach 700cartons with a total amount of 140 thousand Egyptian pounds.

It should be noted that among these families there are 350 families that are sponsored by the club on a continuous, regular basis, which are rotated according to the social research that the club does by itself through specific hired employees. IWC of Tanta donated Stethoscope to Al Amal School of Deaf & Mute

7/4/2021Lead the change Under this slogan, the Inner Wheel Club of Tanta, headed by Mrs. Ghada Rahmy and in the presence of several members, visited Al-Amal School for the Deaf and Mute in Tanta. After supervision and coordination with the Audiology Department of the university and with the cooperation of Dr. Tandil El-Mahallawi, the club donated 6 advanced medical stethoscopes to 3 students of the secondary section of the school. So that they can communicate in a  better way. The  gifted headphones are of the type Beltone. IWC of Tanta also offered some symbolic gifts. The value of the project was 16,600 EGP.

Visit of District 95 Egypt & Jordan Chairman to the Sustainable projects of IWC of Cairo West

5/4/2021Based on the invitation of the Inner Wheel club of Cairo West, Mrs. Mona Aref Chairman of District 95 Egypt & Jordan visited the sustainable projects of the club. She was accompanied by members of the executive committee, Mrs. Zeinab Taki Past Chairman, Mrs. Riri Kotb, Mrs. Soha Shams, the honorary secretary, and some of the club’s members.

 

First, the delegation visited Al-Qasr Al-Aini Hospital and the Oncology Center where they were received by Dr.Heba Azam head of the department and Dr. Rasha Kamal. We must underline that IWC of Cairo West fully supports the diagnostic unit of the breast cancer department.

After that, the delegation visited Heliopolis Public Library where they activated the Chairman’s initiative (Knowledge is light and Reading is Life).

Mrs. Mona Aref offered many children books to this cultural edifice and was briefed on the various cultural activities that the library offers to both children and adults, including drawing, writing, computer courses and artistic competitions. The District Chairman praised these unprecedented cultural activities.

 

Then, they visited Dar Al-Hana Orphanage in Mohandessin area, supported for years by IWC of Cairo West. The orphanage lodge more than 80 orphans covering all ages to university education and graduation stages and seeking job opportunities for them. It is more than a nursing home.

One has to emphases that IWC of Cairo West supervise several care associations:

­ Awladi Association in Maadi, and

­ The Right to Life Association for people with special needs.

 

The tour, which began at nine o’clock in the morning, ended with a meeting in New Giza where the rest of the public activities and projects were presented. The meeting gathered many former District Presidents, representatives of nationalities, members of the district boards of directors and IW institutions.

It is worth noting that IWC West participated in this year events and initiatives called by the chief leader, Mona Aref since the beginning of the year including:

­ Lebanon relief project

­ Cancer Hospital project 57357

­ Tahya Misr project

A Peace Tree was planted to bless and encompass all the club’s activities

The District Chairman praised the tremendous implemented efforts despite the Corona pandemic and indicated that she did not expect all these achievements and strong projects.

IWC of Al Mansoura visited the Cancer Center in Al Mansoura University Hospitals.

7/4/2021Mrs. Nagwa kandil president of the Inner Wheel Club of Al Mansoura, Mrs. Nana Tarshoubi, D95 Egypt & Jordan Editor and Past President of the club and the honorary secretary, Mrs. Basma Saleh, visited the Cancer Center in Al Mansoura University Hospitals, where they visited the different departments accompanied by Prof. Dr. Sameh Shamaa and Prof. Dr. Emad Azmy, they Inspect the departments under construction and the treatment sections.

The President of the club made donation to the patients under treatment, and another donation to support the hospital to Prof. Dr. Walid al-Nahhas, director of the hospital.

May God grant success to everyone to extend a helping hand to anyone in need.

IWC of El Gezira Sporting Club distributing Ramadan Bags to orphans & employees Fatima El Zahraa Primary School.

6/4/2021In a yearly tradition since 2003, on the occasion of the Holy month of Ramadan, Inner Wheel Club of  Gezira Sporting Club, represented by Mrs. Nihal El Rafei, distributed Ramadan food supply bags upon 140 orphans and employees of Fatima El Zahraa Primary School, in the Warak El Hadar neighborhood. The Club also made cash donations to supervisors of the School. Dr. Asrar El Barki, President of the club, who was unable to attend has delegated Ms. Nihal El Rafei to take charge of the event on her behalf and on behalf of other members who were unable to be present due to private circumstances and health reasons.

We are determined to continue giving and helping those less fortunate in our society whenever the opportunity presents itself, in a bid to introduce greater happiness to their lives.

 8/4/2021On the occasion of the Holy month of Ramadan, members of Inner Wheel club of Alexandria Sporting visited El-Ahrar village (formerly Al-Obaid village) and distributed 350 cartons of food. Also, a carpentry workshop was inspected there which was implemented by Mrs. Dalia Hosny Head of Training initiative in order to train village children on the skill of carpentry and teach them to manufacture some wooden products: Boxes and tables of different sizes. This has already been done and marketing of these products has started and the children are given a monthly salary for this business. Therefore, the importance of visiting the carpentry workshop was to meet their requests and to help them to make this project successful.

31/3/2021Once again, generous hands are extending with a flood of emotions mixed with thanks, appreciation and gratitude to the marginalized groups in our society: the sanitation workers. An group from Inner Wheel club members of Nasr City headed by Mrs. Mona Al-Saeed, & on the holy month of Ramadan, headed to the center of the Cleanliness and Beauty Authority’s workers in Nasr City to distribute sums of money instead of Ramadan bags, and also to re-assure them with the fact that their work is not less valuable and important than any other honorable work in our beloved country, Egypt … This meeting was also attended by Mrs. Nihal Al-Bakri, Deputy National Representative for District 95, Egypt and Jordan.
