IWC of Amman ”I learn initiative” Project

In support of the “I Learn” initiative, Inner Wheel Club of Amman, represented by its President Mrs. Jaida Farraj, and three members of the club committee, on Saturday October 10, 2020 delivered the first batch of new computers and used computers in a good condition, after some of the club’s member made a cash donation to buy new computers. We are still on the long road to providing education for the less fortunate through the (on-line learning platform) which needs computers and internet lines.
It was a morning full of hope and change, changing the deficit of the less fortunate to pursue education to hope.

IWC of Alexandria East donating Sterilization Units for Bone marrow Transplant Unit at Alexandria University Hospital

On October 28,2020 Inner Wheel Club of Alexandria, East, headed by Mrs. Nadia Mohye El-Din, delivered 2 sterilization units for the bone marrow transplant unit for leukemia patients in Al-Mowassat Hospital and another Unit to the Main Alexandria University Hospital ( El Amiri ) Faculty of Medicine ,Alexandria .

IWC of Nasr City donating Blankets, Sweets & lunch boxes to 65 Cleaners in Nasr City Center

In a human touch to spread happiness and joy to 65 cleaners in Nasr City Center. On the Noble Prophet’s birth. Mrs. Mona Al-Saeed, president of Inner Wheel Club of Nasr City, and some members of the club distributed the traditional Prophet’s birth sweets along with a lunch box, as well as Blankets to keep them warm in winter season and some cash money for each of them … an act of giving which left a great impact on them all, & which was meant to motivate them in their work and to express the extent of society’s appreciation for this kind of harsh work they are responsible

Payment of Tuition Fees by IWC Of Giza Pyramids to Khaled Ebn El Waleed Primary School in Kerdassa.

On Wednesday 28th of October, The Inner Wheel Club of Giza Pyramids under the presidency of Mrs. Eman Selim and with the participation of Mrs. Afaf Soliman, Mrs. Nany Rashed and
Mrs. Azza Dowidar presented to Mr. Abd El Salam Bastamy (School manager of Khaled Ibn El Waleed primary school in Kerdasa) a check with 22,600 EGP as the tuition fees for 92 students who are unable to pay their fees. This is one of the sustainable projects of the club. These were from the donations of the members to fulfill community social solidarity.

Celebration of the Noble Prophet’s Birthday at Future Association for the Care of Blind In Ismailia

On Wednesday October 28,2020, Mrs. Lula Badran, Honorary Secretary of the Inner Wheel Club of Ismailia, accompanied by Mrs. Majda Shehata and Mrs. Nahla Al-Attar, attended the celebration of the Noble Prophet’s Birthday at Future Association for the Care of the Blind in Ismailia, based on the invitation sent to them by Mr. Hassanein Badran, Chairman of the Association Board of Directors. On behalf of the club president, the members distributed candy boxes to them and celebrated with them in an atmosphere full of love and affection.
It is known that the future association is one of the permanent projects of the Inner Wheel Club of Ismailia that is always keen on sharing with them in all celebrations
The visit ended with a wonderful human touch. Where the members visited
PP Mrs. Mohga Shaheen, who is going through a simple health problem. They give her a genuinely nice bouquet of roses and spend a beautiful time dominated by friendliness and love.
1-57357 Children’s Cancer Hospital in Cairo

Sustainable support by D95 Egypt & Jordan Clubs to Cairo’s Children’s Cancer Hospital 57357 since 2005-2020.

At the invitation of District 95 Egypt & Jordan, Chairman Mona Aref, District Committee members, NR Iman El Bashari, Presidents and Representatives from Inner Wheel Clubs in Egypt visited the 57357 Children’s Cancer Hospital and presented donations for patient treatment in continuous and sustainable support of children with cancer which started since 2005 during the hospital’s construction.
Our members are always proud to visit 57357 Children’s Cancer Hospital as a witness to its success in alleviating the pain of children suffering from cancer in a humanitarian endeavor free of charge.
Due to Covid-19 regulations, very small groups of members alternated in visiting one of the treatment departments and presented gifts to 150 children undergoing treatment on October 21, 2020 and gave comfort to their parents bringing many smiles to their faces.
Professor Dr. Sherif Abou Al-Naga, CEO of 57357, the visionary behind founding the hospital since it was established in 2007 explained to our members the history, the vision and practices of the hospital in a thorough presentation taking us through the achievements and challenges of the treatment of patients as well as their hopes and dreams. Presently, the hospital is recording a 71.4% average overall survival rate. Its new system of healthcare management utilizes the most scientific approaches, advanced research and the highest technology in cancer treatment in the world and ongoing advanced training for doctors and nursing staff. 57357 was funded entirely by donations.
Our District’s initial contributions by numerous clubs as a gift to the children of Egypt and the Middle East was in the amount of L.E. 1,152,000. Our clubs have contributed jointly to a state of the arts Operating Room, 6 chemo-therapy treatment rooms, a fully equipped waiting room, 2 outpatient clinics as well as medical equipment and medication for treatment. A few clubs donated substantial sums and received a naming opportunity with recognition plaques at the entrance of each patient or treatment room. Smaller sums went jointly into general treatment rooms. IWC of Nasr City: Triage examination room #8, IWC of Cairo North: patient room #1, IWC of Cairo South: chemo treatment room #10, IWC of Guiza: chemo treatment room #9, IWC of Garden City: chemo treatment room #1, IWC Alexandria: O.R. waiting room, IWC of Zamalek: 1 treatment room and 1 patient room. The Art Therapy Room was donated by IWC of Sharm El Sheikh .
Our sustainable support of the hospital is ongoing since 2005 and each year some clubs contribute to the needs of the hospital that is run by a non-profit NGO.
District Chairman Mona Aref concluded the visit with an inspiring and poetic speech on behalf of the District Committee and all the members to thank the hospital administration for its stellar treatment of children with cancer and its unparalleled treatment strategies and to pledge our continuous support.

Ras El Bar Tip & visit of D95 & IWC of El Mansoura to the breadwinner women projects of the National Council for Women in Damietta Governorate.

According to the initiative launched by Inner Wheel Club of El Mansoura in” love of Egypt” and to know the archeological treasures of Egypt. The club started since 2015 to invite IWD clubs to visit Dar ibn Luqman’s house.
On Saturday October 10,2020 IWC of El Mansoura headed by Mrs.Nagwa kandil organized a three day trip to the charming resort of Ras El Bar to enjoy the sea waves, the purity of the air and the picturesque nature.
We were pleased for the participation Mrs. Mona Aref Chairman of D95 Egypt & Jordan, the district committee, and members from different IW Clubs.
Although it was an entertainment trip aiming to develop and promote true friendships and to enjoy the visit of touristic areas, we tried to activate this year’s slogan ‘Lead the change’, so, we visited one of the breadwinner women projects of the National Council for Women in Damietta Governorate.
We were all well received and were pleased to help these struggling women by buying their simple projects exhibits, we left them with a smile on their face .We thank all participant IW ladies for their interaction, they left a good impression and a smile that lit a way, and really lead the change.

We completed the exciting trip program by visiting “Al Lessan “area where the fresh water of the Nile river and salty water of the Mediterranean Sea meet “the isthmus”.
At the end we enjoyed a Nile cruise in an atmosphere of joy and a superb evening. Time passed quickly and we carried positive memories.

In a joyful atmosphere of love and friendship, Inner wheel Club of Alexandria Al Nozha headed by Mrs. Iman El Gamal hosted on Monday October, 12,2020 a yoga instructor and a life coach certified by the International Coaching Federation Mai sakr.
And She talked about the importance of Yoga in our life and that it should be a way life because of its positive impact on the physical and the psychological health of the body.
The Seminar was useful, interesting and had a positive impact.

Visit of IWC of Alexandria to EL Raml Hospital for Children & The Mental Health Service

On October 13,2020, as we are approaching the winter season, the Inner Wheel Club of Alexandria headed by Mrs. Omayma Helaly and in the presence of Enaya Sharrah Extension Chairman District 95 Egypt & Jordan ,visited El Raml Hospital for children to distribute clothes and other needs for premature babies and children in the intensive care Unit which brought happiness and gratitude to their families.
After that, a visit was payed to Mental Health service to distribute cloths for the boarding residents who enjoyed choosing their favorite cloths in a joyful beautiful atmosphere.

Once again the Inner Wheel Club of Nasr City is back to fly up in the sky of literature, thought & culture through its “Book Club” seminars where reading books, fruitful serious discussions, exchange of ideas & points of views connect the author with the audience of the symposium….
On Saturday October 17 of the year 2020-2021, Mrs. Mona El Saeed, President of IWC of Nasr City, announced the first opening for this year by hosting counselor “Ashraf El Ashmawy” to discuss his two novels: “The coptic Home” & “toya” …
And between Upper Egypt & Nairobi in Kenya where the events of the two stories took place, the audience of the club could live & sense the atmosphere of both novels. Moreover the writer discussed the circumstances through which he wrote each novel, & the extent of truth from fiction in them, also the real characters from fiction to reach his aim, also the personal experience he went through while writing each of the novels…
Members of the audience seeked the opportunity of the presence of Mrs Engy, wife of the writer among the attendees & ask her about his rituals during writing & how far does her opinion affect him & her impact on his writing & creativity.
This seminar was attended by Mrs Nihal El-Bakry founder of the “book Club” & Deputy NR for District 95, Egypt & Jordan, Mrs Mona El Gemeii the ISO, Mrs Hala Hadara President of IW C of Heliopolis, Mrs. Ashnadelle Hilmy IIW Past Board of Directors& IIW Past Editor/Media Manager , Mrs. Awatef El Nashsrty P. Chairman, along with a whole bunch of members from Nasr City club & their guests from different Inner Wheel clubs: Maadi, Nile, Sphinx, Cairo, Gezira, Ismailia & Rotary Nasr City..
