IWC of El Tahrir Celebrated the International Day of Peace by Planting a tree.

In line with the Initiative of  Mrs.Mona Aref, Chairman of District 95  Egypt and Jordan, in solidarity with all Inner Wheel Districts around the world, celebrating the International Day of Peace, on Tuesday, September 15,2020, members of Inner Wheel Club of El Tahrir headed by Mrs.Lobna El Messery accompanied by Nahla Teyba, Randa El Matbouly & Soad El Gretly and Lamia Fawzy planted a tree at Abo Al-Reesh Children’s Hospital to call for Peace & Goodness. Dr. Amal Al-Sisi participated with the club.

Hand over Ceremony of IWC of Alexandria El Nozha

On Monday, September 14, 2020, the handover ceremony of Inner Wheel Club of El Alexandria El Nozha was held. The club members honored their colleague Mrs.Mona El Halwagui Past President for her efforts and dedication throughout the past year. They welcomed the new president Mrs.Iman El Gamal and wished her a successful Inner Wheel year full of achievements.

On Saturday, September 12,2020, in a friendly atmosphere the Inner wheel club of El Mansoura  held the handover ceremony from Mrs.Nariman Abdullah Past President to Mrs.Nagwa kandil President for the IW year 2020-2021 .The members of IWC of El Mansoura Presented a shield of appreciation and gratitude to Mrs Nariman Abdullah in recognition of  her efforts for her two presidential Inner Wheel years, they wished the new president a successful year full of achievements.

In line with the initiative of Mrs. Mona Aref Chairman of District 95 Egypt & Jordan. Members of Inner Wheel club of El Mansoura, on September 12,2020 celebrated the International Day of Peace by planting a tree at El Gezira Sporting Club El Mansoura, to promote peace and goodness.

IWC of Gezira Sporting Club Charity Exhibition in collaboration with El Mashabek Youth Center.

The Inner Wheel Club of Gezira Sporting Club held a charity exhibition on the 3rd and 4th of September 2020 for the sale of men and women garments at discounted, affordable prices. The Exhibition was attended by the head of IWC of Gezira Sporting Club, Dr Asrar El Barki, and some of the club members, and was held in collaboration with Al Mashabek Youth Center, under the auspices of the Egyptian Ministry of Youth and Sports. The Exhibition was held in conjunction with the start of the new academic year 2020/2021, with the aim of easing the burden of providing clothing on parents, trainees and employees of the Center. Also exhibited during the event was the work of the trainees of the sewing and tailoring workshop setup by IW Gezira Sporting Club at Al Mashabek Center, in 2018, as a sustainable project to help women of the neighborhood acquire new skills in sewing and garment-making and as a means of supplementing their livelihood. Currently, we are working on introducing new activities, such as crochet and knitting Trainings, for women to gain new skills and become more productive.

District 95 Egypt & Jordan Humanitarian Support for Lebanon

After the Tragic Beirut explosion which killed and injured thousands of people and left massive destruction, IWCs of District 95 Egypt & Jordan took the initiative to support the Lebanese people and our Inner Wheel sisters in Lebanon.

On August 31st, 2020, donations by D95 Egypt & Jordan were delivered to the Egyptian Red Crescent in Cairo. These donations including mattresses, bed linen, blankets, quilts and pillows were delivered to the Lebanese Red Cross and DAFA Association in Beirut under the auspices of the Egyptian Lebanese Businessmen Association ELBA and relevant official bodies in both Egypt and Lebanon.

 

Mrs. Mona Aref, Chairman of District 95 Egypt and Jordan and several members of the District Committee were received by the Egyptian Senior Relief Officer Mr. Lotfy Suleiman Ghaith.

On behalf of D95 Egypt & Jordan, District chairman Mrs. Mona Aref extends her gratitude to Dr. Zeinab Taki,  Past District Vice Chairman & PDC who is a member of the Board of Directors of the Egyptian Lebanese Businessmen Association for her great assistance in facilitating the logistics for the success of this campaign. She also wishes to thank all IW Clubs that contributed to this humanitarian initiative, and everyone who extended a helping hand and participated in this noble endeavor.

A humanitarian project to Support a marginalized sector in our society

In a humanitarian gesture to contribute to the support of a  marginalized sector in our society, “The Cleaners”  and in order to activate this year’s slogan: “Lead the Change” members of Inner wheel club of Nasr City, headed by Mrs. Mona Al-Saeed, launched on August, Tuesday 25 ,2020 an initiative aimed to  improve  the working  conditions of the workers from the “General Authority for Cleanliness and Beautification ”  Nasr City branch.  IWC members were welcomed by Eng. Essam Mohamed Sayed, General manager of the branch.

In this meeting, following took place

  1. A large number of protective masks and gloves were distributed , while providing awareness information as regards to their great benefit to provide protection from diseases, especially at the present time with Covid 19.Protection equipment’s will not be a hindrance to them in their work, but rather will protect them.
  2. Two electric fans were purchased and handed over to be installed to be in the workers’ rest area as a civilized way to reduce the ambient temperature.
  3. IWC of Nasr City distributed meals to the workers in esteems to the effort they exert in cleaning and beautifying many places and gardens.

At last the message that the IWC of Nasr City wanted to convey to these simple workers was that the preservation of their  personal health, especially with the existence of the Corona epidemic , and participation in un-spreading it and the  fruitful serious work, whether big or small, has all the appreciation and respect from all members of society.

Among the attendee of this meeting were Mrs. Nihal Al-Bakri, the deputy national representative of district 95 Egypt & Jordan, and Mrs. Awatef Al-Nasharti, PD Chairman.
