On Friday, October 31, 2025
As part of the Global Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) Awareness Week, held
annually from October 25–31, the Yasmin El Samra Charity Foundation
for EB Patients – DEBRA Egypt, headed by District Chairman Mrs. Hanaa
El Sadat, organized a heartfelt celebration on Friday, October 31, 2025,
aboard the Sea Gull Boat in Agouza, with the participation of over 200
patients and their families, in a joyful atmosphere filled with love and
compassion.

The event began with a warm welcome and photo sessions, followed by
various entertainment activities that brought happiness to the children
and their families.
In her speech, Mrs. Hanaa El Sadat reaffirmed the foundation’s ongoing
commitment to improving patients’ quality of life and securing their
rights, highlighting the fruitful collaboration with the National
Research Centre toward a brighter future for EB patients.

The celebration was attended by several distinguished supporters from
Inner Wheel and Rotary Clubs, including Inner Wheel Nasr City, Sphinx
Club, and Rotary Cairo North, along with many notable guests and friends
of the foundation.

Representatives from Kafaa and Satr for Development also joined in
distributing gifts, adding joy and gratitude to the day’s atmosphere.
The El Samra family — Ali, Hassan, and Hussein — graciously
attended, adding warmth and a true family spirit to the celebration.

During the event, Mrs. El Sadat honored several contributors for their
generous support, including:

Mr. Sameh Abdel Aal, owner of the Sea Gull Boat, for hosting the event
and providing meals and drinks.

Mr. Peter Zakaria, the manager, and all staff for their dedication.

Mr. Magdy Petro, for donating food and refreshments.

Ms. Bahira Kakao, for providing cakes, sweets, and chocolates for the
children.

Sada El Balad TV Channel, headed by Ilham Abu El Fath, for its
continuous media support.

The celebration concluded with a heartfelt message of hope, emphasizing
that love, compassion, and unity can truly make a difference in the
lives of those living with Epidermolysis Bullosa.
