Caring for Our Elders with Love: A Dental Care Initiative at Dar Al
Yasmin
Under the theme “Grow and Flourish,” Dar Al Yasmin for Elderly
Women, affiliated with the Inner Wheel Club of Cairo, chaired by Dr.
Laila Khaled, welcomed a dental care team from the Faculty of Dentistry
at the Canadian University, led by Professor Dr. Yousra Mohamed.
The visit was coordinated with Mr. Walid El Menoufy, Member of the Board
of Trustees of the Golden Years Foundation for Community Development,
and attended by Ms. Howaida Tosson, a Board Member, along with Dr. Karim
and Dr. Esraa from the Faculty of Dentistry.
The dental team examined the residents’ teeth, distributed
toothbrushes and toothpaste, and raised awareness about the importance
of oral hygiene and dental health.
💗 This thoughtful initiative reflects the true spirit of
compassionate care: safeguarding the health, preserving the dignity, and
enhancing the quality of life of our elders.
Heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the Canadian University’s Faculty
of Dentistry and everyone who contributed to making this visit a
success, bringing care, kindness, and happiness to the residents of Dar
Al Yasmin.
